Vogue fights with Ray of Light as my fave ever Madonna song. My preferred version is the original single edit. I like the Immaculate Collection version, but it takes just a little too long to get into it. The video is probably her best. The VMA performance is incredible. Her mind to come up with that. And I can recreate the original choreography, so keep that in my back pocket 😂
  2. 1,435 physicals barely seems worth the bother.
  3. I would be surprised if it didn't get a second week Top 100. Staying around for a "few weeks" might be a push, though streaming on Apple does seem to be holding up.
  4. 25 14,703 JADE - FUFN (f*** You for Now) [863 vinyl, 457 CDs, 115 cassettes, 1,596 downloads] ^^^^^ From the Sales thread.
  5. Although I have a soft spot for 1D, especially the weird "ski dance" in the video, the Atomic Kitten cover of Tide is the better of the two.
  6. Because someone else has said 27 and 29, I'm going for 28!!
  7. I actually prefer the clean version. I do wonder how the song would have done if it had just been called Forget You For Now. I actually got Alexa to recognise me asking for FUFN this morning
  8. Nickelback again
  9. Miss Dynamite now. But P!nk, I'm coming for ya after this one!
  10. I don't think the winner has ever been in doubt!!
  11. Everybody is a great track. I guess the sleeve having a photo of them next to a swimming pool, in comparison to the video and performances being a bit darker showed how much they couldn't sell the idea to the label? Mo Money is also good. Don't like Picture of You. So cheesy. Couldn't remember the Peter Andre song so had a listen and had to stop it when that atrocious rap came in.
  12. Sounds okay... If it's building up to a dance banger!!!!
  13. I went for the Manics. Again, just don't remember the song. Thanks for the reminder @Julian_
  14. I've always thought Jay was very overlooked as everyone just thinks about Cheryl being a bit of a legend because her celebrity career obviously went past just being in Bucks Fizz. In the 80s around 83 with Run For Your Life etc, Jay was stunning. She is gorgeous in the RFYL video.
  15. About 10 years ago, a mate won a competition to have afternoon tea with her and asked me to go along. We turned up at the right time, had a drink with her in the garden and then she asked if we wanted to stick around for dinner. We didn't get all "crazy fans" on her so I think she just felt comfortable around us. It was nice. I have a photo with her in her hallway with Bucks Fizz gold discs in the background. It was surreal.

That preview sounds really good and very commercial. There is a particular song it immediately reminded me of, but can't put my finger on it just yet.
  17. Oh at the drop in streams... I thought it was on the way back up. Not great for her estimated Thursday streams either if it keeps falling. But Yay at staying Top 20. Keep going, Apple Music

If you watch anything on ITV or Channel 4 you don't pay for anything but the device you watch it on and the electricity. It's ad-funded. So not a massive stretch from streaming music for free. If a song is streamed then it gets the artists name out there for touring, merch etc. The record store owner is only narked because he owns a record shop and therefore believes in the physical product more than the on-line one and streaming doesn't do his business much good.
  19. Heard this tonight on R1 Hottest Record. Brilliant track Felt like it could be a Part 1 and Part 2. Very impressed by it.
  20. As a big fan of the group (once had Sunday dinner with Cheryl Baker and her family at her home in Kent - long story!) I never like to admit that I find Now Those Days Are Gone just a little bit boring and one of my least fave of their singles. If You Can't Stand The Heart and Run For Your Life are the better hits. Looking outside the ones that made the Top 40, You And Your Heart So Blue is a cracking single that shoulda been Top 20 at least!!
  21. Well those are chalk and cheese. Bad Wolves is a good cover, but I can't get past the dance cheese of Dario G, so I have gone for that.
  22. There are 3 or 4 really good songs in there, so let's get rid of Nickelback first.
  23. Going to have to be David Guetta now as it's the only song left that I don't recognise.

The new producer will get rid of a fair few I would imagine. They always do to make their mark. Nicola is like a Martina Cole novel and I am loving it!!!!
  25. Echoing the disappointment at a 12 place drop in 1 day. If it can stay Top 30 for Wednesday's update then it should stay Top 40 for Friday.
