  1. I'm old school... Anything that makes the Top 40 is a hit to me.
  2. I'm going to pick on Kylie here (as a massive fan)... After Padam went a bit viral, I think My Oh My was supposed to. The lyrics leant to people creating their own "Hi... I'm Kylie... I'm Gemini" whilst inserting their own name and star sign. Then Lights Camera Action seemed custom made for some catwalk style vids. All my own thoughts, but it felt that way to me.
  3. If we're really fair about Jade's chart successes... She has only released 3 actual proper singles. Angel smashed Fantasy flopped FUFN went Top 30 and spent 5 weeks Top 100. Plastic Box is only her fourth single as IT Girl and Midnight Cowboy were promo singles. So she's had 2 hits out of 3. That's not bad.
  4. Three good acts there, but my favourite of them is Tears for Fears. Tracks like Mother's Talk and Mad World stand out. Best Prince is 1999 Best Elton is I'm Still Standing (or I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues)

    Get Ed trying something new.
  6. Not sure if you meant this, but the way your post sounds right now is pretty offensive.
  7. I went for Pete Tong. It just sounded more interesting.
  8. A threat to what? Jade getting #1 on NMF? Jade going to No.1? (not going to happen) Jade going Top 20? Jade going Top 40? I don't think another female singer releasing a single on the same day as Jade is going to be any real threat at all?
  9. Looking good for Tyler and Josh here. The taste 😀
  10. I went for Calum Hood (though Blusher were not far behind). Manchild for the tie-breaker
  11. To be honest, I listened to the Skin remix that has been released and it didn't grab me. Certainly not in a way that I will shell out for a physical vinyl that I have no device to play on. I suspect I'll stream it on a car journey one day, but I'm not really that bothered by this. 🤥 Soz.
  12. GTBC for me. I actually really like the song. Probably the best single from her debut.
  13. Forever was the only Spice Girls album I bought, whereas for most it was the only Spice Girls album they didn't buy!!
  14. Back in the day, Zoe did Sunshine on a Rainy Day. She was hedging her bets, I reckon 😂 I guess people just put on playlists in the hot weather when they're in the (beer) garden. But I would definitely not choose to listen to Ordinary during a heatwave. Ooh... Heatwave... That will be back this week, surely?
  15. G.U.Y Just because I can randomly remember watching the video once when it was released and thinking it was all a bit poor.

Broke Stacey being able to afford to randomly rent a property in London? Okay then.
  17. Googles Tyson Fury Still lost so Googles the place Tyson Fury is from 😂
  18. Ooh. TWIST!! I do wonder if I should have entered this, but my act would likely be gone by now anyway!! Still, enjoying being a "non-participant" voter!!
  19. Can one song really be accused of "clogging"? 😂 I"d say that (up until recently) Ordinary and PPC were "clogging up" the Top 2 or 3.
  20. Personally I really liked Ordinary when it was first released, but now I switch it off if it comes on the radio. Same with Pink Pony Club. I really like Dior, but I suspect if it was No 1 for 3 months or in the Top 5 for as long as PPC, that I would be bored senseless by it as well.
  21. Wu Tang for the win.
  22. Don't You Forget About Me being one of THE songs of the 80s. I love The Breakfast Club.
  23. There are some damn good records going on here... A-ha - Take on Me Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding - Miracle Fifth Harmony feat. 24. Well done to the winner, and indeed 2nd and 3rd. Happy to see my 10 pointer (Cicero) finish Top 10. Still bamboozled over the low Paula Cole result. And as for my song... Well at least I took part, eh? 🫣 I'm sure 2wo Third3 could still pop up on Lorraine next week to tell the world what they'll be doing next! Thanks @Brer for running this. It was good to be involved. 👍
