  1. This is pretty good, but not at all sure on the vocal effects. Little bit too much for 21P in my opinion. But the backing is decent and in place with other songs on Blurryface. Still glad the finished song was as it is though.
  2. Noooo.... Years ago I always used to think a song making #40 was worse than it making #41. #40 was a "only just made it" #41 was a "only just missed out" The latter seemed more positive somehow.
  3. Did Miley drop back out of the Top 200 on Spotify again today?
  4. I know it's an obvious joke, but... I'm sure you had one of ten good reasons to buy it 😀
  5. I think Ed is doing just fine. It must be a long way to fall from the height his chart success was at, so it's good that he's recovering from the second day drop that everyone gets and is looking to get a reasonable sized hit that might stick around for a while. It's not like he's missing the Top 40.
  6. The arrival of Too Many Broken Hearts and Jason Donovan on a mountainside with his not plugged in electric guitar 😀 Great song though and much better than his debut. I'm going to be uncharitable and say the cover of Help! just went over my head. I never got the joke with French & Saunders.
  7. Boys of Summer. I know Beautiful is a bit of a classic, but I love the original and dance cover of BOS.
  8. Ed back in Top 20 and Miley back in Top 200 today 😀 There was always the argument that playlists swayed charts and that it was passive plays based on someone else's decision of what should be on said playlists. So the TikTok argument... Surely if someone likes a song on TT then they have to ask Alexa to play it or seek it out on Spotify, for example. That means it's not a passive play, so effectively makes the charts more real on popularity of a song based on what an individual likes rather than what's on a random playlist?
  9. This is the kind of ACR drop I hate. Not just because it's Gaga, but because a #12 to #40 drop after spending 9 weeks in the upper reaches is so odd. A phased ACR would be so much better for chart runs (not that it makes that much difference)
  10. Forgive me, Madonna, for I have sinned. Don't Tell Me is not one of my fave Madonna songs.
  11. I think this one is going to be a birruva whitewash
  12. I like Love Changes Everything. Not sure I particularly did at the time though. I think my pop head really missed out on a lot as a teenager. Simple Minds in particular are such a good band, who I all but ignored in the 80s.
  13. Cascada. Love MJ's music, but MITM isn't it for me.
  14. Alexandra easily. Bad Boys is a juggernaut of a debut!
  15. @Julian_ I just voted, but I made no difference to the result.
  16. ChrisJK posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Just looked on Amazon and says Ed CDs are 30th April. It wouldn't make sense to release them now and still not make #1. Leave it 3 weeks for Alex to tail off a bit and then release them and get a better chance of #1.
  17. This made me actual laugh out loud 😂
  18. I do like My Perogative, but I do think more of Britney's version now. I always liked The Living Years but forgot about it until this thread. Had to listen to Holly Johnson as couldn't remember it and what a step away from Frankie. Such pop.
  19. And apparently No.1 on the Saturday update. I know it means nothing as it's largely just actual sales for that one, but that was quite the move from 1 to nowhere.
  20. Again I am not surprised by the Ed fall. It's how things are these days with so many new tracks regardless of who you are. I raise an eyebrow at the Miley drop out of the Top 200. A few weeks ago we were hoping for Jade's FUFN to be added to HHUK to keep it in the charts, but it seems even if it had been it may still have immediately disappeared.
  21. I always liked Anne Marie (Ciao Adios is brilliant) but these latest songs are not doing it for me. I think it's the styling and the titles. It seems a bit brattish (and not in the Charli XCX way!)
  22. I think #7 is respectable enough for Ed. It's likely to drop second day though, isn't it? So waiting to see the fall from that. Didn't Ariana's twilight zone go in mid Top 10 and then crumble. Isn't Ariana quite a massive name as well? Though I know it was only a deluxe for her, it was still a brand new song. More surprised at Miley, and disappointed too as it's a brilliant song. Hope that can climb.
  23. At the time, I probably was rooting for Geri. These days, Blink 182 is considerably better.
  24. Okay, so now I've been able to edit my vote to do three.... Benson, Gaga and Jade's FUFN.
  25. And discovered Show Me Love at the same time and also loving this. Surprised this has stalled this week after the massive climb last week.
