The Ariana track gets better with every listen.
  2. How very 1990s of him to choose any old song, put a generic beat to it and think it'll do.
  3. Brandy & Ray J without a shadow of a doubt. But at least you didn't pick it to go up against the even worse cover of Against All Odds by Westlife and Mariah Carey.
  4. I don't know how you can conclude that this campaign is over before she has even announced her debut album, and when she has festival slots at Glastonbury and R1 Big Weekend to fulfil. She also said she wants more songs out by then to fill her slots with... unless you think the debut will not see the light of day now? If the record company pull the plug on her debut, then they will pull the plug on her contract with them and she will end up having to either find another record company or go independent. Either of those options is going to take years, not months. So I do think it's dreaming for a second album to be out next year when a first hasn't been released yet.
  5. Like a Prayer was released in 1989!!! 😱
  6. I thought I'd be the only one voting for Destiny's Child!!
  7. Sean Paul to go next.
  8. Hot Chip for me.
  9. Absolutely no expectation that this was hold Top 100 for a third week, so even seeing it in the midweeks is a pleasant surprise. Guess that's down to the new remix?
  10. Amen to that! The way anyone hopes a second Jade album might see the light of day next year when you're never quite sure if the debut is definitely coming yet!! No harm in dreaming, I guess.
  11. Mark Ronson. Don't know the Tatu cover and can't be jiggered to listen to it either, as Stop Me was a really good track.
  12. Remember when Take That premiered Back For Good at The Brits and the demand for it was to a staggering level? I agree. Previewing Sorry... at the Grammy's could have been a good call.
  13. Going to stick with Love Tried to Welcome Me.

You have to admire his belief that people will still be interested in 5 albums time! He's effectively planned his next ten years of music output. Having said that, his new single does sound like a bop.
  15. Although it's a massive fall, it's good at least that this becomes her second song to spend 2 weeks Top 75 (or even Top 100).
  16. This is nice enough. Not quite to the level of We Can't Be Friends, but it's a decent enough track.

I think I must be just old now as apart from Ariana, I don't recognise any of the acts of the new additions. 😂😞
  18. Never heard Ultra Nate before. It's okay, but was never keen on the original. So Girls Aloud easily win for me
  19. I didn't know that Girls Aloud had recorded this, but listening to it, it would work so well as a group song. Guess it would sound like GA as it's written by Xenomania. It's okay, but not great as a Kylie single.
  20. Take a Bow is not her strongest ballad by a long shot. I don't really like it that much. But it didn't deserve it's misfortune in the UK. I seem to remember it's cd track listings weren't amazing?? Certainly her "star" had been dislodged a fair bit by then anyway
  21. Aurora. Allstars covered Bucks Fizz better.
  22. Kelly. Love a bit of Swifty, but Love Story wouldn't be the first track I thought of (or even the tenth track) if I was asked to name a song by her.
  23. I echo this. I remember that you are hardly a Jade fan from when you slated a previous release, but FUFN is not a "Solo mess" either.
  24. Haha. And I usually reread my posts before submitting them. I was going to edit it to correct it, but it's funnier as it is. 😂
