JADE - Plastic Box • 4th Single
If the label are going to invest in her any more, this is the release to do it with. She's in the middle of all her festival slots She's got her album up for pre-order It sounds like an absolutely banger It's literally the perfect time for her to have a second Top 20 hit.

Twenty One Pilots - Breach
And the video is brilliant as well. I don't really follow the ins and outs of the Blurryface story, but I thought Clancy was supposed to bring it to an end. The video for The Contact starts where Paladain Strait ended, so it suggests there's more (which is maybe why we're getting such a quick turnaround on the new album?).

The Contract is fricking awesome! Actually thought it was released tomorrow so dropped onto this just at the right time. Instant. Going to listen again now!

Sabrina Carpenter - Man’s Best Friend
Did they not watch her at The Brits? Surely parents have some idea of what they are going to see with their kids?

Song Covers SoundClash #69
Breathless, which seems more interesting than the other one in general.

I Kissed A Boy ● second series
Finished watching the main series at the weekend. I really got into this series in the end. @vibe was right that episode 2 changed my mind and it just got better from there. Need to watch the Reunion, but not sure if that is available on iPlayer yet?

Sabrina Carpenter - Man’s Best Friend
I think that, in a Madonna kind of way, it's all done with tongue in cheek. When I first saw the album cover, I thought it was a brave move for 2025 and all the shock, horror, offence that will be taken from it.

The Best Song Contest In The World... Ever! Part X // One Hit Wonders (Voting)
Voted!! I had a good idea who my 12 was going to, as I had considered the song myself, but actually it was really close between my Top 2. Looking forward to the results on Sunday - even if I come in last!! 😁

The Pop Factor: Season 1 • Battleground

It doesn't surprise me that they have brought out a "bridge the gap" single for Sabrina, or that it is "more of the same". Now she has proper broken through to the mainstream, there is no way they would want to drop the momentum. Waiting months for the lead from a new album could easily lead to interest falling off and she's back to getting middling success rather than being a big name. It's happened with a fair few acts in the past, after all.

Post-Sheeran Male Solo Acoustic Guys: The Comprehensive List
There was, and to a certain extent still is, a trend. I guess there always is. Boy bands in the 90s Girl bands after Spice Girls To a degree it feels like more female solo acts are pushing through at the moment. I guess labels want to capitalise on what is seen as popular at the time. Ed no doubt inspired many a "guy with guitar" to audition for X Factor and BGT.

Top 100 Best Selling Singles Acts Of The 80s
Really liked 5 Star as they were a mixed gender vocal group making pop music, the kind of which I always liked in the 80s (and went on to enjoy with the likes of Steps, S Club, Liberty X and even Hear'say). They made some good songs. Thompson Twins were another form fave for me. Doctor! Doctor!, Hold Me Now, Don't Mess with Dr Dream to name a smattering of my fave hits of theirs.

Ed Sheeran - Sapphire
Even though this dive-bombed on Spotify on the second day (even more than I expected) it is gaining ground again now, so I hope it can stabilise and be a decent hit for him It's a genuinely decent track.

US Hot 100 – 06/14/2025
Well that Top 10 is quite something, isn't it. Makes you feel grateful for the rules the OCC created for the UK charts

Previews of this have come up on my TikTok 3 times in the last 15 mins. It sounds so freaking good!! If this isn't a major hit for her, I genuinely don't know what will be.

Favourite solo Spice #1 - FINAL round
Never Be The Same Again. Which stood out as the best from the beginning.

The Pop Factor: Season 1 • The Golden Wagner RESULTS
Not massively surprised by any of the three that went out, though maybe expected Mary more than Rina. Looked close at the bottom though.

Round 1: Year End Survivor #119
I went for U2. Quite surprised at who is leading the way out at the moment.

Max Dean, Luke Dean & Locky - Can't Decide

Well it looked like it was getting too close to call yesterday, but with Sabrina back on top then Ordinary just might fall. I wonder if it'll get a decrease in streams and go to DCL-2. Be something if he falls from the top with an increase. I'm liking Dior. Add it to the Can't Decide pile of dance tracks taking off!
