Was never that keen on Tina except a handful of songs. Eddy was good for Dance and Avenue and Billy Ocean was okay. Not really feeling any of the others here.

It does make you wonder if it's just another way to be (yawn) swearing in a song. I'm sure she just could not think of a single other lyric!

I've gone for Lad Christmas, even though it's basically sing a famous song over a generic dance beat. Shane is great in EastEnders. I don't need him singing a Wham song

I have heard this twice today on Capital. I am no Mariah fan, but this is pretty good. Not sure what they have done to her voice as it sounds nothing like her at all, but I'll admit I found it a decent enough tune.

I didn't know this. I thought the label allocated which album the streams should apply to. So does that mean that if, for example, Harry Styles released a Greatest Hits, that the streams would count towards that AND each of his three individual albums? So, effectively, double counting?

Having had a listen through, I have heard just 3 of those songs before (including my own)... possibly 4 if the Annerley song is a random track that you get on those arcade dance machines. It sounds slightly familiar and that popped into my head as a place I may have heard it 🤣

This actually deserved to be a "hit" and make the Top 40. I put hit in " " as I find it hard to say that something that has stuck around so long and I still hear on the radio is not a hit.

I've said a debut at 2-3 with under 50k, but I do think it has the best chance out of everything recently to topple Alex eventually.

The chorus is definitely catchy. Pretty massive on its own. But the verses are a bit messy and meh. With it's apparent immediate playlisting, it could take #1 for a week or two, but I don't think it'll be there for ages. I see the comparison to The Giver.
