JADE - Plastic Box • 4th Single
This could end up being my favourite Jade single, you know. Does sound a bit Ariana Grande to me though

Top 100 Best Selling Singles Acts Of The 80s
Ooh... Dollar! The Dollar Album was great, with Mirror Mirror, Videotheque and my fave Hand Held In Black and White. David Van Day is a prize prick though. And Nik Kershaw. Wouldn't it be Good is one of my favourite ever songs, but glad you chose to include his largely forgotten follow-up Dancing Girls which was a lot better than it's chart peak suggests

What's your favourite "colourful" number one?
I picked too many to list out here, to be honest

Estimated ACR status updates 2025
On the weeks where EVERYTHING declines, wouldn't that largely be solved by the following week most of them increasing again? The worst bit here is when everything declines, but the ones which were declining anyway are "saved" because they then didn't decline more that the market average (or whatever it is). Genuinely, if let's say Ordinary or Beautiful things got to DCL-2 and then genuinely increased the following week, then what matters? It's just when they get saved due to the (seemingly) stupid market rule.

Song Covers SoundClash #61
I'm going Will. Although it's not one of my faves by him, I was a fan for his first two or three albums so it's good memories.

Blasterjaxx - The Power of Love
Not bad, but far too short, took too long for the beat to hit and, dare I say, it felt a bit obvious somehow.

JADE - Plastic Box • 4th Single
I think the idea of getting the album pre-order out before the festivals was so people ordered that off the back of the performances, which is probably considered better than concentrating on promo for one song.

Least favourite Lady Gaga 2nd single ● FINAL ROUND
Poker Face. (Though, for me, my fave is Telephone).

What was the first Kylie song you've ever heard?
I Should Be So Lucky. Before I really even knew who Kylie Minogue was. Literally a fan from the very first (UK) hit.

Bedtime Stories ● Survivor Round 7
Looking at it so far, I think this is going to be a close round. Everything left is great.

Bedtime Stories ● Survivor Round 7
I've gone Secret,🫣 Though it's between that and Bedtime Story

I Kissed a Boy • Series 2
Have to be honest and say I wasn't sure about this series after the first episode, but the second changed my mind and I'm fully invested now. Up to Ep 6 and think it's a shame there's only 4 left to go. Not sure I can pick anyone out as a favourite, but they are all very watchable.

EastEnders
This stayed in my head today... Imagine if Keanu, Rocky, Nish, Martin, Jack and Jonny had murdered, say, Sharon... Dragged her body around the square and then buried her in the Cafe. Then covered it up and got away with it, with even Zack letting them off. I'm not sure it would have been accepted at all. In truth, I do think the writers didn't think through the long-term of that storyline and the initial wow moment became something sprawling that they barely knew what to do with.

Year End Survivor Results
Everybody's Changing is one of my fave songs ever, so very pleased with this result.
-
Alex Warren with Jelly Roll - Bloodline
It's infinitely more appealing and catchy than Ordinary, to be honest
-
Round 7: Year End Survivor #116
Fall Out Boy, as the song I remember the least.
-
Song Covers SoundClash #60
Bastille for sounding different to the original, whereas 5SOS is a karaoke version.
-
Round 4: Year End Survivor #117
Staying up here on the Mariah hill.
-
Ava Max - Lovin Myself
Maybe not her WHOLE career, but certainly at least 50% of it.

Top 100 Best Selling Singles Acts Of The 80s
Some good acts there - some of which (Kate Bush, Toyah, maybe Bros) I might have expected to be a bit higher. Love Yazoo and The Bangles as well.

90s Top 10 sales- Week By Week- 1997
Too Much being the worst Spice Girls single so far, and probably the worst until Headlines happened.

Estimated ACR status updates 2025
I was listening to the chart in the car on the way home from the office today and I thought that Jack Saunders did a pretty good job of trying to make the Top 2 sound exciting still, even though he must be bored rigid with it as well.

How old is your all-time #1 song ?
I would say my all time fave No 1 is probably Vogue by Madonna. Which is 1990. So a massive 35 years old

EastEnders
You are so right here. If you play that scene out, it fits perfectly for Sharon. Phil going to the house to tell her, then her kicking off and blurting out the secret, even Linda being in every scene. 100% for Sharon. I'm not warming to Vicky at all. Nicola is probably the best character in the show at the moment. Barney may well be a close second. He's a cracking actor.
