  1. Think Linkin Park are safe for top 10!
  2. oh for FOOKS sake.
  3. I'm actually quite optimistic about how good new music could be because I reckon Noel has probably come up with some strong material over the years that he knows should be Liam sung that may be taken off the shelf now.
  4. OH MY NEW MUSIC!!! I think what we have seen over the past couple of weeks proves how much hype there is so can't see the lead single not going straight in at #1 whenever it may come. Album will do huge numbers too.
  5. Incredible for Linkin Park, didn't expect it that high.

Erm how is that using emotive language to shame people? Whatever happens, whatever piece of evidence gets analysed or even overturned, those parents have still lost their babies. That's a fact.
  7. Starts off sounding like an interesting track, then the abysmal Central Cee comes in. What I hate is that this will very likely outpeak Genesis. :(
  8. Is anything from BRAT close?
  9. +5 Too Sweet - Hozier +4 Birds of a Feather - Billie EIlish +3 Good Luck, Babe! - Chappell Roan +2 Espresso - Sabrina Carpenter +1 Houdini - Eminem -1 I Had Some Help - Post Malone ft. 10. Hope it stays top 5.

It seems people just have trouble wrapping their head around the fact that a mountain of circumstantial evidence holds equal weight to a single piece of smoking gun evidence in legal proceedings.
  12. Great track from Ocean Colour Scene

  14. They would definitely all be up there at the top of that list i'd say. Led Zep's Stairway To Heaven is the first other track that comes to mind.
  15. It isn't or at least has never been regarded as such until now. Obviously its not a deep cut or anything either but Wonderwall and DLBIA are far more omnipresent and well known to the general public. That's why i'm so thrilled its Live Forever that is peaking highest now and also because its one of my faves.
  16. Live Forever getting a new and hugely deserved chart peak would be a moment!!
  17. I find if Liz Truss says something then there’s a strong chance the opposite is actually true.
  18. Very much agree on this point. There needs to be freedom of choice and high rates of taxation to price people out of taking up the habit coupled with existing restrictions are a suitable enough deterrent. I'm also all for legalising, taxing and regulating the use of cannabis, something which we lag behind even parts of the US in getting behind and you are right to say is estimated to bring in a significant sum of extra money. A government that places petty restrictions on the usage of tobacco in outdoor spaces couldn't then turn around and introduce such a policy, not that this lot would anyway. Before anyone says it, no I don't advocate the same for some harder drugs and there certainly isn't a one size fits all solution when it comes to that, though we should certainly be seeking and discussing where there may be solutions as what has existed now for decades clearly doesn't work. Drugs won the war on drugs but I digress. Disagree with your minimizing of the lunacy of Liz Truss though. The Bank Of England didn't support her proposals because they were utter tosh and the woman will go down in history as a shining example of what happens when someone horrendously inadequate is allowed to wield great power.

On an attempt at a slightly lighter note, I wonder just how high their designated 3 tracks could chart on this weeks chart. They are currently dominating Apple so much it looks like a big album bomb. Will be interesting to see the Spotinumbers.
  20. Live Forever up to #2 on Apple!

Its greed all round that leaves a sour taste in the mouth. Oasis, Coldplay, Swift etc... will be raking it in from the massive ticket sales anyway as thats where most of the money is in the industry these days and the ticket retailers will already be making very handsome commission no doubt, yet they all want more at the expense of pricing the ordinary fan out of the experience. I will say as a fan i'm disappointed if the Gallaghers have indeed signed off on this, knowing a lot of their fanbase comes from working class communities. At the very least there should be a strict limit on how much the face value of a ticket can be 'dynamically priced', ideally the practice should be outlawed completely. Relying on the fact that some have more money than sense and allowing everybody else to be priced out after sitting patiently waiting in a long queue is a pretty shameful business model.

I wasn't sure whether the artist actually got a say in it or not, if they do then they deserve some of the flack too frankly and its also disgusting of Ticketmaster. It's not even like its adding 10% of the ticket value or something, i'd still disagree with that in principle, but fact is they more than doubled the face value price of the ticket which was already expensive, outrageous tbh. I know there has already been grumblings about this after Taylor Swift and expect a lot more fury now after this one. I can only hope it leads to real pressure for change.
  23. My top pointer would have been Sixteen Tons
