  1. Also Espresso seriously comes on after every single thing I play on Spotify. I mean I do like the song and have intentionally played it a few times but it's after EVERYTHING!
  2. It makes zero sense. You can't as an institution, decide to make a stance and then simply decide not to make the same stance and not have serious questions asked.
  3. Also is Eurovision like X Factor where the best ones are always runner ups after Cha Cha Cha and now Baby Lasagna?!
  4. I think the impact will be significantly smaller than the past couple of years without the interest of a strong UK finish or a UK hosted contest. Would be great if Baby Lasagna could make it in to the top 40 though.
  5. Radiohead, Wildchild & Lauryn Hill. Streisand/Dion.
  6. Agree with this sentiment completely. Most of my Christmas faves (John & Yoko and Jona Lewie both included among them from this thread) are actually the ones that are pretty much not actually about Christmas. Unfortunately the masters behind the streaming playlists that dictate so much of the annual passive listening do not feel the same.
  7. I've always liked the catchy lighthearted element of Rock DJ, but I suppose childhood disco nostalgia helps it's cause for me.
  8. My EP sales? My EP Sales Jonas?
  9. It's a shame Happy Xmas (War Is Over) never got to have it's week at #1 formally recorded. It's a good Christmas tune.
  10. Of course it's political, it was always going to be. Exactly why they shouldn't have been in it.
  11. Islands
  12. Why did they even let Israel in it when they banned Russia?
  13. I don't see it opening with the huge numbers that would be required for a #1 debut right now but the preview of Billie's new lead track does sound promising and I could see it making a strong first week splash. Hopefully another top 10 debut.
  14. Stop The Cavalry is up there with my top Christmas tracks. Great stuff.
  15. Honestly with some of these odds i'd almost be willing to chuck a tenner away on a bet on Azerbaijan or something and hope for a Leicester City moment with my returns.
  16. Cheers Julian. Guess that's a pretty safe bet for the (combined sales/streams) highest ranking non-charter then.
  17. My god that turgid saccharine nonsense by John Legend sure sticks out among five tracks that regardless of being overplay kings are at their heart stone cold classics. (well I suppose it's too early to refer to Heat Waves as a 'classic' but you get the point)
  18. Christ no.
  19. This list gives us an insight into the biggest 'selling' songs to never reach the top 10, 40 or 75. 16 DO I WANNA KNOW ARCTIC MONKEYS 2013 11 50 SUMMER OF '69 BRYAN ADAMS 1985 42 58 THE CHAIN FLEETWOOD MAC 1977 81 I do wonder if there's any data on the biggest selling not to chart at all (i.e. in the top 100 since it became one).
  20. Embarrassment and To Cut A Long Story Short are great additions to the top 10!
  21. WE NEED EVERYTHING EVENTUALLY (SINGLE) IN THE OFFICIAL UK TOP 10!!!!! SOMEBODY PUT IT IN A FILM WHERE SOMEONE DRINKS JIZZY BATHWATER OR SOMETHING THAT WILL GET PEOPLE TALKING AND GET A TIKTOK TREND OFF THE BACK OF IT!!!
  22. As if that double-A was blocked from #1 by that dreary old codshit. The other half is naturally my favourite given my votes but Penny Lane is also excellent in its own way.
  23. I was meaning on the official charts. ;)
  24. I think Million Dollar Baby is looking likely to climb to the runner up slot at least. Whether it can top the charts will depend on Sabrina’s trajectory over the next few weeks.
  25. The BlueBoy – Remember Me Radiohead – Karma Police Eels – Novocaine for the Soul Fatboy Slim – The Rockafeller Skank Massive Attack – Teardrop
