Sunday Morning Call is good stuff but my easy pick for standout track from SOTSOG is the fantastic, moody and atmospheric album track Gas Panic!

If that 6-9 section gets shunted by the oncoming likes of Djo, Hozier, Sabrina… we could have a whole top 10 of songs that actually peaked in the current year (or resurged in the case of MOTD) and it will have only took… nearly half the year. At least we won’t be reaching the end of the year with a song that peaked 18 months earlier in the YTD top 3.

I'll be voting for none of them and yes that does count as an official vote through the medium of a spoiled ballet. It doesn't matter one iota since my seat has been safe Labour for donkeys years but I will have made my own voice heard I guess.

Agreed that Life Is A Rollercoaster is actually a decent tune. Some of Ronan's other records could have been used as a form of torture at Guantanamo though. Try Again is excellent. How tragic that we never got to see what might still have been to come from Aaliyah. :(
