  1. Could You Be Loved! Good entry for Odyssey too and nice to see Stacy Lattisaw climbing. I'm not too fussy on Xanadu tbh.
  2. Getting accurate data for the Amazon charts does seem to be a particular nuisance. The data always seems to have such odd anomalies that i'm not sure can be entirely put down to a different listener base.
  3. Agreed. For me it also sits in the 'double bubble' club as I very much enjoy it both in its original form and the Freemasons remix.
  4. Cheers PCF, really interesting to be able to put these things into the context of the time. I suppose there was little to no precedent for groups splitting to all forge separate solo careers when they were still at the height of their commercial power back then so nobody would have been 'waiting' for them to split up.
  5. Not often I wouldn't support a new debut providing some turnover at the top of the charts but I low-key hope Hozier blocks her tbh. Too Sweet IS that song for me right now. Looks like Sabrina is on the brink of overtaking Artemas on Spotify. Not sure he'll get much further than his current peak position on the chart now which is a shame.
  6. Eight Days A Week is a great one from their early stuff imo. I've never liked Get Back though, sorry.
  7. I do agree that Ballad... is underrated for sure. Was there no public hint whatsoever of the tensions in the band before the 1970 announcement from Paul then?
  8. Think this could be another big hit for them
  9. Manifesting the Chicken Song
  10. Voted Lisa Maffia although happy for Westlife to eff off first if that's the way it's going.
  11. Shame it wasn’t Funkytown that ascended to #1 instead, don’t care about the Don McLean song. Great addition from the Korgis.
  12. omg I hath gone 4-34-36. Maybe I should change my name to LeDot Flops or Barbadian Dot!!! also something shenanigans double a-side tarm onika burgers
  13. Assuming Stone Roses and Depeche Mode are now safe... George Michael – Praying for Time 808 State – In Yer Face Pacific State The Charlatans – The Only One I Know Guns n' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine Blur – There's No Other Way
  14. Doesn't it actually sample In My Feelings? (which is worse because that's a decent Drake song to shit all over whereas Toosie Slide was a turd anyway)
  15. What an utterly cursed top 2.
  16. The Theme From MASH Is surely one of the most depressing tracks to have got all the way to #1, it's very well composed though. Funkytown is of course an undeniable classic and Rat Race is another decent one from the Specials.
  17. Oh! Darling is a big loss, a really stunning track. The others less so.
  18. Hmm on first listen it's about on par with Training Season which is to say quite a bit behind Houdini tbh. That's not to say it isn't a decent little bop, she rarely delivers a hard miss but it's not giving me much more than that.
  19. Is the remix of Knock 'Em Out any good? Cos i'd kinda be here for that being a hit in any form.
  20. Girl was probably the closest to making my votes out of those that have dropped out recently. Siouxsie's version of Dear Prudence is vastly superior to the original imo and it's not often you can say that about a Beatles cover.
  21. Scissor Sisters: 42,310, Killers: 28,682 (13.6k gap) Scissor Sisters: 32,338, Killers: 19,405 (12.9k gap)
  22. Is using the word Beautiful like a curse because there's a lot of shit on this list lmao? Voted for all the ones I actually like so U2, Xtina, Bey/Shakira & Ne-Yo. I did also at one point have some appreciation for Blunt's song but these days not so much. Also a couple of examples of "out of everything, that was the one that got to #1" here with Labrinth and especially Prince. What a hideously dull song when compared to something like When Doves Cry.
  23. That Johnny Logan track is really quite dull.
  24. Aww that is indeed a bit of a shame to see Glass Onion out so early. Funnily enough exactly like Roba I ended up appreciating it more while listening to compile a list for this.
