I think the impact will be significantly smaller than the past couple of years without the interest of a strong UK finish or a UK hosted contest. Would be great if Baby Lasagna could make it in to the top 40 though.

Agree with this sentiment completely. Most of my Christmas faves (John & Yoko and Jona Lewie both included among them from this thread) are actually the ones that are pretty much not actually about Christmas. Unfortunately the masters behind the streaming playlists that dictate so much of the annual passive listening do not feel the same.

I've always liked the catchy lighthearted element of Rock DJ, but I suppose childhood disco nostalgia helps it's cause for me. :lol:

It's a shame Happy Xmas (War Is Over) never got to have it's week at #1 formally recorded. It's a good Christmas tune.
