Good for James to have a #1 studio album.

Will Taylor Swift's new album sell over 200k in week 1?
Who thinks it's doing more than 300k? Adele 'only' did 262k. (that's to say 300k is unattainable as a weekly album sale these days, not to suggest Adele did low numbers before someone jumps in with nonsense. :kink:)

Glad Jungle got a second wind. Still a bop.

I don't hate the These Words remix as much as I should oops. A bit pointless though. Good Luck, Babe is a very solid new entry. Will be good to see how far that can climb. That Tell Ur Girlfriend song isn't a great noise. Guetta be Guetta.

Martine's song is quite nice actually but Phats & Small really deserved #1 that week in 99.

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
I doubt it tbh. To say it's leaked and is an anticipated album I haven't seen it anywhere on the internet today (maybe Youtube et al... have got better at insta blocking these things) and anybody who's a hardcore fan choosing to go out of their way to find it will probably still be streaming it anyway.

The BMRB Years- Top 10 sales
Could You Be Loved! Good entry for Odyssey too and nice to see Stacy Lattisaw climbing. I'm not too fussy on Xanadu tbh.

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
Getting accurate data for the Amazon charts does seem to be a particular nuisance. The data always seems to have such odd anomalies that i'm not sure can be entirely put down to a different listener base.

Could you be... the most beautiful #1 in the world?
Agreed. For me it also sits in the 'double bubble' club as I very much enjoy it both in its original form and the Freemasons remix.

The Beatles rate 2024
Cheers PCF, really interesting to be able to put these things into the context of the time. I suppose there was little to no precedent for groups splitting to all forge separate solo careers when they were still at the height of their commercial power back then so nobody would have been 'waiting' for them to split up.

Friday Chart Predictions
Now she’s doing physicals week 1 it will be a high debut and harsh second week slump just like the other two.

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
Not often I wouldn't support a new debut providing some turnover at the top of the charts but I low-key hope Hozier blocks her tbh. Too Sweet IS that song for me right now. Looks like Sabrina is on the brink of overtaking Artemas on Spotify. Not sure he'll get much further than his current peak position on the chart now which is a shame.

The Beatles rate 2024
Eight Days A Week is a great one from their early stuff imo. I've never liked Get Back though, sorry.

The Beatles rate 2024
I do agree that Ballad... is underrated for sure. Was there no public hint whatsoever of the tensions in the band before the 1970 announcement from Paul then?

Friday Chart Predictions
There's absolutely no threat of Teddy Swims getting to #1 now. Him continuing to clog up the top 10 for weeks and weeks to come can't be so easily dismissed unfortunately.

The BMRB Years- Top 10 sales
Shame it wasn’t Funkytown that ascended to #1 instead, don’t care about the Don McLean song. Great addition from the Korgis.
