My...Tuppence!!

An omen of what was to come with the streaming era.

It's probably the furthest thing from an Adele-esque comeback given Adele didn't release new music for six years before Easy On Me and Taylor has had something out every five seconds recently.

Nothing essential lost for me so far. I do quite like their take on Roll Over Beethoven though.

+5. Murder On The Dancefloor - Sophie Ellis-Bextor +4. Stick Season - Noah Kahan +3. greedy - Tate McRae +2.Lovin' On Me - Jack Harlow +1 Cruel Summer - Taylor Swift -1 Prada - casso, RAYE & D-Block Europe -2. yes, and? - Ariana Grande -3. Geno is another great #1.

1 +1 = 11 is a bit of a banger. Also obsessed that she has a track called 'Lobster Telephone'

Still had fairly respectable top 40 runs with peaks of #21 and #36 but after the successes of the American Idiot era I would have expected bigger things from the Green Day comeback this year. 9IclmVdWNbI?si=z6bVj2i4pMSol5sB r00ikilDxW4?si=B7fEz_EJG7v0HpEr

The Amy Winehouse/Simon Amstell stuff was gold.

Kelly to win.

Went with Sash! Quite unremarkable compared to some of their earlier (#2) hits.

They may have had two top 10 smashes in this year but sadly this banger only peaked at #49 for the Prodigy... EiqFcc_l_Kk?si=4C4pKNnV69D4te7x

Some great stuff already posted in this thread. I think 'White Winter Hymnal', 'Walking On A Dream', 'Obsessed' and 'Heads Will Roll' all feel a lot better remember than their peak for sure. Video Phone is indeed an awful racket. There's a cursed universe out there somewhere where that reached #1 and Telephone failed to make the top 40.

That really is a fantastic top 3! Smooth is such a catchy feel-good hit, the production and vocals on The Time Is Now do indeed compliment teach other perfectly and Never Be The Same Again is a pure banger from Mel & Lisa and a great #1. I think Mel C's two #1s are comfortably my favourite solo Spice hits, if I had to choose I think i'd lean slightly more towards I Turn To You but both 10/10s imo.

Glad Spaceman made the top 10, generally very underrated.

Freedonia may have something in mind.

This World Of Water. A big favourite of mine that deserved a higher peak!

It's a shame Free As A Bird couldn't hold on to it's midweek lead and topple the dirge that is Earth Song. MJ at his overblown worst.

The Spinners #1 is alright but not a big fave of mine, Call Me on the other hand is a stone cold classic.

#771 +5 Hozier - Too Sweet +4 Djo - End Of Beginning +3 Ariana Grande - we can't be friends (wait for your love) +2 Noah Kahan - Stick Season +1 Olivia Rodrigo - obsessed -1 Michael Marcagi - Scared To Start -2 Future, Metro Boomin & Kendrick Lamar - Like That -3 Beyoncé - TEXAS HOLD 'EM -4 Teddy Swims - Lose Control -5 Benson Boone - Beautiful Things #772 +5 Hozier - Too Sweet +4 Artemas - i like the way you kiss me +3 Djo - End Of Beginning +2 Ariana Grande - we can't be friends (wait for your love) +1 Future, Metro Boomin & Kendrick Lamar - Like That -1 Beyoncé - JOLENE -2 Beyoncé & Miley Cyrus - II MOST WANTED -3 Beyoncé - TEXAS HOLD 'EM -4 Teddy Swims - Lose Control -5 Benson Boone - Beautiful Things

Utterly flawless top 2 tracks there.

Ok i'm cackling at the idea of a band called 'Soft Launch' being an aggressively pushed industry plant.

I'm a little surprised the Guetta track has been placed as low as #12. Not expecting Charli to do much sadly.

I swear there have been about 50 million attempts to recreate this since Sharam at this point.

So if the evil music career of Robson & Jerome had never happened, 1995's chart toppers may have looked like.... 13/5/95- Dreamer- Livin' Joy (2 Weeks) 27/5/95- Guaglione- Perez 'Prez Prado & His Orchestra (1 Week) 3/6/95- Common People- Pulp (2 Weeks) 17/6/95- Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me- U2 (2 Weeks) 1/7/95- Boom Boom Boom- The Outhere Brothers (5 Weeks) ... 28/10/95- Gangsta's Paradise- Coolio ft L.V (2 Weeks) 11/11/95- Wonderwall- Oasis (1 Week) 18/11/95- Gangsta's Paradise- Coolio ft L.V.
