Stalling again at 33,994 streams. I'd love it to take off properly but I'm not sure I can see it going much further than this. Still, what a thrill to see such a deep cut making any sort of impact! I'm quite shocked to realise she never performed this live! 😲
  4. 01 Hung Up 02 Frozen 03 Sorry 04 Vogue 05 Like a Prayer 06 Papa Don't Preach 07 Into the Groove 08 Music 09 La Isla Bonita 10 4 Minutes 11 True Blue 12 Who's That Girl 13 American Pie Madonna's #1s are actually a very good representative of her discography! Everything down to 'La Isla Bonita' is a 10/10 for me. From her #2s, the ones I'd really have liked to make it would be 'Live to Tell' and 'Ray of Light', plus 'Holiday' is such a major classic it probably should have made it as well.

23 according to Music Week: The ACR-impacted Man I Need reasserts itself at the top of the Top 200 combined tracks chart, with unadjusted consumption of 57,646 units - its record 23rd straight week above 50,000 - earning it an eighth week atop that list.

Only 12,504 chart units separating #1 and #10 in the singles!
  7. Pretty sure this was a placeholder name for the Confessions vinyl which is out the same day.
  8. It’s very The Weeknd-coded but it suits him very well!
  9. Can't say I've heard anything from Pulp outside of the usual classics but wow, this song suits them to a tee! The orchestral arrangement is really beautiful - Agnetha's voice takes center stage in the original, but here Jarvis' style is restraint enough to allow a bigger production. I'm not sure the magic of the song would be quite the same if both the voice and production were equally as prominent.
  10. Just remembered that the Top of the Pops performance never aired due to Kylie wearing a top that opposed nuclear war or something. Shame they weren't able to re-record, perhaps the song could have reached Top 5 with it.

  12. Nice! So you saw the 'Music Inferno' dance break and 'Hung Up' strut close up?
  13. Side A 1. Hung Up 2. Get Together 3. Sorry Side B 4. Future Lovers 5. I Love New York 6. Let It Will Be Side C 7. Forbidden Love 8. Jump 9. How High Side D 10. Isaac 11. Push 12. Like It or Not I've just checked and thankfully I'm not too fussed at losing any of the transitions from flipping the record. 'Let It Will Be' into 'Forbidden Love' would be the main one but it's not like losing 'Forbidden Love' into 'Jump' or 'Hung Up' into 'Get Together'.
  14. From Music Week: Finally, Kylie Minogue had a big success with her Christmas catalogue campaign. What are the plans for new music from Kylie with BMG? “Kylie's an important artist for us, we're keen to get going. She's had a phenomenal two years. In fact, since we originally signed her back in 2017, we've seen such incredible progress. Every single time we've dropped her records, we've seen brilliant progress in terms of where we've taken it. To see her brand and her star rise in the way that it has has been an absolute joy, particularly for me. I’d originally worked with Kylie all the way back in the Parlophone days and signed her with Miles [Leonard] in 1999, so she's a really important artist for me personally. So that's been amazing. At the moment, there won't be too much going on with her, there will be a period of time [away] and then we’ll be looking after that. I can't envisage new music until next year.” https://www.musicweek.com/labels/read/with-hit-lps-for-lily-allen-louis-tomlinson-jamie-nelson-talks-building-bmg-s-contemporary-roster/093504

I didn't rate this all that much back in 2016 - it felt like safe, watered-down pop and I much preferred Zara's other singles - but in 2026 I've discovered a new found love for it and I can't quite believe I once thought so little of it!
  17. This item is a pre-order and orders will ship for street date of 27 March 2026 Madonna’s Confessions on a Dance Floor is not only one of the most celebrated albums of the 21st century but continues to be an influential reference within pop and dance music. Originally released in 2005, the record features 12 seamless club tracks including the global hits “Hung Up,” “Sorry,” “Jump” and the deep cut favorite “Get Together.” For the first time, the full continuous mix has been pressed on 2LP silver vinyl and carefully adapted to its groundbreaking technical specifications, while preserving the album's club flow as Madonna originally intended. The dance floor is calling, no time to hesitate. Orders placed on the Official Madonna Store and Rhino.com will receive an exclusive 11x22 inch poster featuring a 2005 Confessions photo by Steven Klein.
  18. It's a double LP so there will be four sides! My guess is the last track of each side will end like the do on the non-continuous version? I'd have preferred it as one vinyl to keep the interruptions to a minimum.
  19. Omg continuous mix is getting a vinyl release!

Had to do a double take when Nigel was doing his Britney-Everytime impression, genuinely mistook his leg for something else!!

It had 22,625 streams yesterday, however the peak was 26,496 streams last Friday (which was 836.2% up week-on-week). Hopefully it can keep climbing! 'Vogue' also saw an increase of 27% (239,263 streams) thanks to the Devil Wears Prada 2 trailer.
  22. Just seen this is getting vinyl release for Record Store Day! 😍
  23. I’ve always put it down to being a cover, much like how Tears On My Pillow did so much better than Never Too Late. I was recently going through all the Top 10 hits starting from 1990 and I was amazed by just how many re-releases were dominating in 1991/92, so it definitely seemed like the charts were going through a nostalgic patch (compared to the more forward-looking 1990).

  25. The title sounds a little clunky at first but I'm used to it now and it's 2/2 for me this era - I love 'Sweat' but it was definitely wise to follow up with something more melodic.
