  1. I think there's some really beautiful instrumentals on the album, particularly on the title track (love the lyric "be more like the sky and welcome every kind of weather" too) and the opening minute of 'Aeterna'. I just wasn't grabbed by a lot of the songs themselves. 'We Pray' is really good though and an interesting sound for the band to take; I also think 'Good Feelings' sound like a single and reminiscent of the 'A Head Full of Dreams' sound. I don't think I've ever listened to a full Coldplay album before this one, despite liking a lot of their singles. Perhaps one day I'll devote some time to listening through them all.
  2. Totally agree, felt very moved reading that. Everyone knows about the book he wrote about her and their relationship falling apart after that, so it was really nice to see a post focusing on the positives. I’m glad they reconnected before his death.
  3. Nothing has been confirmed yet but there’s rumours online that Madonna’s brother Christopher has passed away. This just a week after the passing of her stepmother Joan. What a horrible time for the family, my thoughts go out to them. :(
  4. Jax Jones remix, previously an Amazon exclusive, is now on all streaming platforms!
  5. My mistake! I thought I read it was Lostboy again. Either way, you can hear the Padam influence but it’s different enough not to sound like a rip off.
  6. FYI, the line up for Graham Norton Show on 18th October has been revealed and Kylie’s not on the show. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00240pz
  7. It’s been a hectic week so I’ve not had chance to comment until now, but I’ve been obsessed with this. You can tell it’s by the same producer as Padam Padam but it doesn’t feel like a rip off, I love the fast energy and every lyric feels like a hook. The video is such a serve as well, so much replay value for me. I love the part where Kylie walks down the track with longer hair, she looks like a supermodel! So many great looks towards the camera as well. This video works great back-to-back with What Do I Have to Do. A shame the physicals weren’t released in the first week to ensure a Top 40 hit, but honestly the fact Kylie is this far into her career and still with a chance of hitting Top 40 with each single is just unprecedented.

I’ll be getting the vinyl because I’ve been dying for a Cher greatest hits on vinyl for ages and I think the tracks on there are more than worth having, but listening to the deluxe on Spotify, I do have to say that I wish Love and Understand, Just Like Jessy James and All or Nothing were there, probably instead of the ABBA songs, which I do really like but aren’t as essential to her discography. I do get that these songs were personally picked by Cher and she has a lot of love for the ABBA songs compared to Just Like Jessy James which I think she has said she didn’t like. Would love Music’s No Good Without You on the main album too but understand Song for the Lonely is more loved and remembered on the album. There are songs on there that I love that I think could easily have been left off, like Saving All My Tears and You’ve Not Seen the Last of Me, so there are positives that balance out the more negatives.
  9. I agree, that one particular raspy vocal in the song is my favourite part. I’ve heard a lot of comments saying Gaga is too ‘pop’ and polished with her jazz songs, and it’s a criticism I can understand, but that moment is one of those true, passionate aspects that happen when you’re completely in the moment.
