  1. I imagine there will be a vinyl release, they must have been pleased with how the debut sold - wasn’t it #3 on the Monday midweeks?
  2. Another solid bop from Kylie, I think it was a good single but given the choice I may have swapped it out for ‘I’m Over Dreaming (Over You)’. This was a lovely moment on the Golden Tour though given it hadn’t been performed for years. Odd that they didn’t apply for a Silver certification (250k back then) back then given it sold 300k+, especially when ‘Never Too Late’ was certified and it didn’t even sell all the copies that were shipped.
  3. The title track would have been perfect for this! In my world the singles run would have been Into the Blue - If Only - Kiss Me Once, with the lead single premiering during The Voice live shows and being released not too long after.
  4. All versions are great but the Initial Talk remix of Real Groove is my ultimate. Dua’s vocals can clearly be heard compared to the Studio 2054 version and I love the 80s production and that stuttering “K-k-k-Kylie” in the intro.
  5. Yes!! This is one of my favourite performances by them! :basil:

I really like this version of Johnny. I must admit there is a strong part of me that really wants to see him making friends and having fun but I appreciate he's got bigger concerns at the moment so in terms of the narrative it makes sense his main involvement is with The Six. If he's relegated to background character after the climax of The Six, then we've got an issue.
  7. 'Creep' would be my main choice, I also think 'Hey! (So What)' sounds like a single but I know many here don't like it. The proposed single mix of 'It Won't Work Out' is the better version of the song but I'm still not crazy over it, I guess the intention would be to drive sales for the album in Q4 had it been released. That JCA version of 'Come and Get It' is good, I think in either form that could have been a good single too.
  8. Wikipedia crediting infuriates me! '10 Out of 10' definitely should be under "as a featured artist" and 'Can't Stop Writing Songs About You' at the very least should be "promotional songs".
  9. Might be an unpopular opinion but I prefer 'Disco' to 'Tension'! It mainly comes down to spending a lot of time with 'Disco' which made the lockdown so much more bearable and I have a lot of memories attached to the album, whereas I only found myself listening to 'Tension' a lot in its first few weeks of release. I don't know if Kylie sort of abandoning the era in favour of Vegas influenced me, because when I look at the songs themselves they're just as strong as the ones on 'Disco'. Strangely I also find 'Tension' feels like a much shorter album, despite the main edition being just one song and five minutes shorter than 'Disco'. I knew 'Disco' didn't house a Top 40 hit but I've never considered that as a misstep for the era. 'Dancing' felt like it did better than I expected a current Kylie song to do so for 'Say Something' and 'Magic' to achieve Top 75 peaks and both likely selling 100k+ seemed decent enough achievements. It was frustrating to watch 'A Second to Midnight' miss out on Top 100 placings not once but twice, especially as it seemed like it should have been achievable on both occasions.
  10. The song title for the new leak has changed from 'Body Language' to 'Speak to Me' (which I feel is the more likely title). It's decent enough but, out of the many 'Kiss Me Once' outtakes, it's not one I'd consider a missed opportunity.

I've been waiting for an updated Cher greatest hits for so long! It is odd that the likes of 'Love and Understanding' and 'Just Like Jessie James' aren't on the main edition, plus I'm a big fan of 'All or Nothing' and 'The Music's No Good Without You', but I otherwise think the tracking list is decent! It looks like the tracking list flows rather well and I'm happy to see the likes of 'Song for the Lonely', 'Save Up All Your Tears' and 'You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me' on there. Do you think Cher's personal taste affected the tracking list? I know she's said 'Song for the Lonely' is her favourite Cher song and that she's a big fan of her ABBA covers.
  12. Agreed with the consensus here that 'Spinning Around' worked best. Every element came together just right and it's considered one of the best reinventions and comebacks in pop. The lyrics matched her situation so well you'd be forgiven for assuming it was originally written for Kylie herself: "Threw away my old clothes, got myself a better wardrobe", "I know you're feeling me 'cause you like it like this". The disco-tinged sound was very on trend as well with the likes of 'I'm Outta Love', 'Lady (Here Me Tonight)', 'Rock DJ', 'Music', 'One More Time', 'Groovejet' all being hits that year.
  13. Oh I'd love that! (also great to have you back Chris, have missed your posts!)
  14. I worry that all these collaborations would dilute the impact a lead single would have if there was a brand new era starting this year as well. I'm happy to get a 'Tension' re-release if only to get the original deluxe tracks available on vinyl and to get an alternative artwork. Could August 23rd actually be when the re-release will be made available to pre-order rather than its release date?
  15. Very pleased we’re receiving one of these! It’ll be followed by a reshowing of the Tangled Up Tour.
  16. She’s not old, she’s golden.

Nice to have lifetime sales rather than just post 1994 sales! Will have to check how these sales check out.
  19. After being unsure of this at first, I’ve got to say this has just grown and grown on me! Never going to be top tier but I’ve given it loads of plays and can’t see myself tiring of it for a while. Doesn’t seem likely now but I do think a video would have brought the song to life a bit more.
  20. It is already on Spotify as part of the 30th anniversary digital version of the ‘Like a Prayer’ album if you want a listen now:
  21. ‘Cherish’ EP out at midnight: 01. Cherish (7" Version) 4:03 02. Cherish (Extended Version) 6:16 03. Supernatural 5:12
  22. From the videos I’ve seen she really seems to be embracing the Ibiza lifestyle… :P
  23. The chorus to this has been stuck in my head since I heard it. I’m dying to have the full thing!

Legit!! And such flawless, glowing skin. Our comatose queen. I've had a sense for a while that Reiss may have been responsible for her stroke and it seemed heavily implied tonight. I think Reiss might end up getting rid of Debbie's mother too.
  25. It was actually slightly higher than this: 1,113,476 (861,088 from 'Celebration', 216,991 from 'The Immaculate Collection' and 35,397 from the album 'Like a Prayer'). It replaces 'Popular' as Madonna's daily most streamed songs (after 423 days of 'Popular' being #1).
