  1. Really interesting article here to mark 30 years since the controversial David Letterman vs. Madonna interview. It features a dialogue from people who worked on the show at the time and they take us through everything that went on behind the scenes and the reactions to the interview: https://latenighter.com/features/an-oral-hi...man-appearance/
  2. I REALLY want her to perform it somewhere the general public will see it. Like imagine if it was part of the BRITs medley and she finished with that final note in the song. She nails it every time and I could see it really impressing everyone.
  3. Yeah I think The Sun will be pretty accurate with that. I think it would be good if the Dance Alone and the Joel Corry collab (assuming it’s released as a single before the re-release) were added to the album on streaming platforms before the physical release - may as well take advantage of those streaming sales as soon as possible.
  4. @1772890551370596847 I remember we did a vote once before a few years back but saw this on Twitter and thought we could do a revote!
  5. Yeah I do think their cover is quite sweet actually but definitely rates more or less at the bottom of their singles discography. It was obviously an attempt at boosting album sales and getting airplay in a similar way ‘I’ll Stand By You’ worked for their previous album. In the ideal world, ‘Whole Lotta History’ would have been released in its place but then we probably wouldn’t have received that gorgeous Paris video for it. It’s placing on the album gives me major whiplash too.

  8. Secret for me too! Do love some of these album tracks but the singles were picked perfectly.

@1770178295499260126 A couple of weeks aside, EastEnders has been on fire this year! Also, ratings wise, it’s the only soap to be up year on year. It’s very close to overtaking Emmerdale and isn’t very far from Corrie. I think at this rate, EastEnders could be, at least temporarily, top soap come the 40th anniversary next year.
  13. 'Slow' is the first that comes to mind - those 43k sales wouldn't have seen it #1 in any other week of the last third of 2003. I have a post here that shows where Kylie's singles would have charted with the same sales if release a week earlier or later. 'In Your Eyes' not even Top 5 if released a week later! :drama:
  14. Just coming back to this, it was in an article from The Sun last month that mentioned a reissue: She has a repackage of her album Tension coming out, which will include a string of new songs, as well as her headline gig at BST Hyde Park in July. https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/26095...residency-deal/ I do love your idea of making the most of the hype she is riding on right now and put together a new album. It almost seems like it limits the potential of working with hot producers and artists just for a couple of songs on a reissue rather than several songs for a full album, and I agree it would be overboard to do both.
  15. This is actually one of my very favourite Kylie songs! The production is like a mashup of Justin Timberlake's 'Cry Me a River' and Destiny's Child's 'Survivor' but I think Kylie brings a lot to the song. She oozes confidence and sexuality, which is further evident in the music video - an overlooked gem! It made me yearn for this type of sexual, self-assured sound from Kylie again and thankfully we did get that with 'Padam Padam' and 'Tension'. Yeah it was quite unfortunate to be released on such a competitive week. It was the highest sale for a #5 position in 2004 and wasn't far off the 43,291 that 'Slow' opened with. Those sales could have seen it #3 if released a week earlier or later (even #1 if released two weeks earlier! :o). Two weeks earlier: 1- WHO’S DAVID- Busted (30,072) 2- WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS/ THE MEASURE OF A MAN- Sam & Mark (24,010) 3- SOMEWHERE ONLY WE KNOW- Keane (21,033) 4- TAKE ME TO THE CLOUDS ABOVE- LMC Vs U2 (20,191) 5- MILKSHAKE- Kelis (19,821) One week earlier: 1- MYSTERIOUS GIRL- Peter Andre (107,870) 2- THANK YOU- Jamelia (48,672) 3- OBVIOUS- Westlife (33,584) 4- WHO’S DAVID?- Busted (16,151) 5- TAKE ME TO THE CLOUDS ABOVE- LMC Vs U2 (14,803) Week of release: 1- TOXIC- Britney Spears (102,576) 2- CHA CHA SLIDE- DJ Casper (78,666) 3- MYSTERIOUS GIRL- Peter Andre (69,685) 4- AMAZING- George Michael (41,508) 5- RED BLOODED WOMAN- Kylie Minogue (39,812) One week later: 1- CHA CHA SLIDE- DJ Casper (57,280) 2- TOXIC- Britney Spears (49,834) 3- BABY I LOVE YOU- Jennifer Lopez (30,346) 4- MYSTERIOUS GIRL- Peter Andre (28,117) 5- NOT IN LOVE- Enrique Iglesias Ft Kelis (26,472)

'I'll Remember' was #95 on the sales chart (#92 on downloads) last week thanks to the remixes!
  17. I had similar thoughts too when I saw the line up!

  19. Yeah it seems this has been a big problem for lots of people. Thankfully mine just took a few cleans to get rid of the skips but I know it’s not been as simple as that for many.

  21. It’s long been a favourite of mine and I’m glad a lot of fans have come round to it in recently years. I agree that it’s not that different to the songs Xenomania were making and it doesn’t feel out of place on Chemistry to me either.
  22. I think he has done some fantastic tracks but then some are very middle of the road ones. I’m confident Kylie will lift the song regardless.
  23. I was the same! I saw the subtitle on the official charts article and thought “have they not updated this from the midweeks?”! I wonder what its chart run would have looked like if it wasn’t released in Q4? Or at least in October like when Fever was. The sales might not have been as big but certainly chart position wise it would have given the impression the album was more successful.
  24. My theory is Kylie is going to do some collaborations this year and stick them on a re-release of Tension at the end of the year, possibly to coincide with a tour. Kinda like how Ella Henderson and Becky Hill do to inflate the sales of their albums from the streams of their collaborations. Even if they’re not massive smashes, songs by the likes of Sia and Joel Corry are going to get more streams than most of Kylie’s songs.
