I didn't get to watch on the night but have caught up with Kylie's performance and, naturally, I loved it. The call back to her 2002 performance with the huge CD prop was genius and something I did actually consider could happen - how could you resist paying homage to such an iconic performance? I think she picked the correct songs given the target audience of the BRITs; sure, it would have been nice to have her pre-2000 career represented, but I wasn't expecting that at all. Us fans will always have our personal list of songs we'd like to have been included, but those four made sense as a package to me. I liked that little excerpt of 'Slow' in the transition into 'Love at First Sight' and overall I thought it was an incredibly joyous, celebratory performance and Kylie was clearly feeling the love and radiating it back. I'm thrilled it's gone down well online with fans and critics alike. It's really such a great time to be a Kylie fan! :heart: Also, I thought the montage was excellent and I'll never not get a buzz from hearing Kylie's achievements read out loud.

The unheard tracks seem to be going down really well online and I can definitely see some personalised album tracking lists being made! I'd comfortably place 'Disco Bunny' over some of the released tracks, I wasn't quite sure of it fitting with the sound of the album but I suppose it's not that far removed from 'Big Brother' or 'Thank Me Daddy'. I've always had a soft spot for 'Loving is Easy' but I think the only B-side that could have had a place on the album was 'Androgynous Girls'. I wasn't expecting any Girls Aloud on NMF but thought I'd check anyway just on the off chance, it is kinda hilarious how they've placed it dead last!

I'm still fairly confident with my Top 30 prediction!

Their version of 'Wicked Game' is lush! I don't know how it would have faired as a single, let alone potential lead for 'Chemistry', but it's nice to have it finally available and for it to not disappoint. 'Disco Bunny' is a banger and 'Baby When You Go' is lovely too. I thought the electronic mix for 'I'll Stand By You' would have different production but it's only a slightly enhanced beat to it. Do I spy some of the girls singing new lines and giving different vocal takes? They made the right choice with the final version of 'Wake Me Up', that original first verse just doesn't work for me. I've never heard the demo version of 'Love Machine', was this previously available? If this is what the girls were first presented with then I'm not surprised they hated the song! :lol:

Labels can also choose which compilation gets the streams allocated to it which is what has happened with 'Finally Enough Love' as 'The Immaculate Collection' has long since been the best selling (currently #69 on the download chart). I'd welcome 'Celebration' getting the streams from this point on though; as mentioned, 'Finally Enough Love' has achieved a very respectable chart run and a Gold certification, plus it would mean 'Celebration' would pass one million chart sales in three years or so.

@1765118836528083185 I feel like it’s customary for another artist to perform a song of the artist that receives the award. I remember Labrinth performed Frozen in tribute to Madonna, although that was for Woman of the Year not the Icon Award.

I’ve been racking my brains as to what this reminded me of; I got the It’s a Sin influence but knew there was something that resembled it more closely - Deeper Shade of Blue! The song is decent but more for the songs it’s similar to; I’d rather it had more of its own identity.

#29 in the midweeks! Unsure if this is just from the vinyl release or whether the streams have been allocated to this collection instead of Finally Enough Love.

I’m eager to hear the song in full! I don’t think it would fit with the sound of the album so I can see why they left it off, but it does sound like a bop!
