I’m liking this more than I did Houdini on initial listens, although that did grow on me a lot. I think I need to stop myself comparing this era to Future Nostalgia - these are good, solid pop songs, it’s just that Future Nostalgia was such a 10/10 era. Not really getting the ABBA vibes others are getting.

I can remember those sales for Paloma’s last album being really disappointing at the time, four years on and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them drop further with this album.

I see Robbie Williams is one of the headliners a week prior; I'd love it if he joined Kylie for 'Kids' so we could potentially finally have a decent performance of it! I don't think I watched Kylie's 2015 set. I initially got it confused with her 2014 Commonwealth Games set actually!

They had Maisie Williams present the award to Taylor Swift, not really sure what the connection is there. Khalid presented the award to P!nk and they at least collaborated together although not the first person I’d think of and hardly a massive name. At least they got Elton John and Ronnie Wood for Ed Sheeran in 2018. I suspect Dua Lipa will probably present it given she’s also attending/performing and is a big fan of Kylie. She’ll probably feature in the VT too.

The last Global Icon award was in 2021 and given to Taylor Swift. Someone came on stage to introduce the award followed by a montage of clips and other artists talking about her.

Fully expecting the medley to be Spinning Around, Head, Love at First Sight, Slow, All the Lovers and Padam Padam. Nothing pre-2000. However I’m most pleased that Kylie is being honoured in this way, it’s truly deserved and will no doubt be the highlight of the evening for me! :wub: I hope she brings something really special in terms of staging and choreography. Her BRITs 2002 performance is perhaps the most iconic single performance of her career, I’d love for this medley to bring something as impressive as that.
