I love Like It or Not but I can see History working as an album closer. I’ve always thought some of the production sounded similar to Jump so it was fitting that it was the B-side to the single.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the cover? I like it as an alternative version, it is very Tina Tuner ‘Acid Queen’ and also reminds me of the ‘Music Inferno’ performance (think it’s from the backdrop). Someone also pointed out her body makes an ‘X’ shape which is the Roman numeral for 20.

They’ve been snubbing ‘Santa Baby’ for years on their main Christmas playlists so f*** then I say! 😂 Also I’ve just checked the OCC rules and it says alternative versions of albums will be combined if there is a 80% crossover with the tracking list. This new edition doesn’t make that threshold but it wouldn’t be the first time the OCC have ignored their own rules!

Annoyingly marked as a 2005 release so it doesn’t appear as a new release.

Sorted! @-Jay- I think we've discussed before but it seems unimaginable that a Kylie album - even a Christmas one - would debut as low as #12 nowadays. Seems right that it should get a Top 10 placing (probably even #1). I don't think it will reach it this year but it'll certainly be a lot closer to a Platinum certification as well!

Just put a fiver bet on Kylie whilst her odds are 20/1, worth a shot!

I’m getting giddy at the thought! First #1 in 18 years! Might even hit 100k chart sales in a week (Tom Grennan did 90k+ in the week after Christmas last year).

Think it depends on whether there’s enough of the original tracks. I assume there is and it’s released on the same label so it should extend the chart run.

Sales might be low enough the week before Christmas to get that #1 though. Wham was #1 with 46k last year compared to 59k on Christmas week (although this did included 6k physicals). Edit: oh I see the physicals for the single ARE out on Christmas week! It’s the album that’s released the week before.

@Jessie Where will be thrilled Santa Claus is Coming to Town survived the cut! Should replace that with Every Day’s Like Christmas.

I’d love a Christmas #1 but just number one in general would be a dream - it’s been TWENTY TWO YEARS!
