  1. I believe there’s an unmixed visualiser on Apple Music so it could become available as a song to stream soon.

Takes over 3k to reach Top 40 which I think could potentially reach on stream alone.

Album download chart: 01 Confessions II 16 Confessions on a Dancefloor 74 The Immaculate Collection 90 Erotica
  4. #2 on the dance album charts, behind Confessions II - what a Top 2! 😍 Also #16 on the download chart.
  5. Charting songs on the UK download chart: 03 Danceteria 34 Bring Your Love 55 I Feel So Free 58 Bizarre 93 Love Sensation
  6. I’m actually more impressed with Danceteria making Top 40 than Bring Your Love. It was 2k off matching its chart sales and managed it with no feature. The hype of this album has been huge so it makes me think that they did drop the ball with not releasing Bring Your Love when it was premiered at Coachella.
  7. So happy it held its Top 40 position! You never know with all these resets of old songs. Also gagged at Radio 1 playlisting! Coupled with the strong Apple Music playlisting, could this be a big hit?
  8. Thrilled with that! Madame X did 95k and that was with the tour bundle boost, which is no longer chart eligible. First time since MDNA that Madonna has topped both the UK and US charts.
  9. These really are incredible numbers! I hope streaming continues to hold up well over the next few weeks. Also big up those 21k vinyl! That’s more than Kylie did with Tension (19k). Interesting that Confession II actually did worse on cassette than Madame X did (1,993). Madame X did 4,628 on vinyl, which was actually quite respectable back on 2019.
  10. I think No Scrubs has the cool factor over Wannabe, but yeah it’s also on loads of playlists.
  11. ‘Bedtime Story’ is the blueprint to Ray of Light is a big one.
  12. Considering what a radio staple Can’t Speak French was and how well it sold the album, I wonder if a fourth single would mean Tangled Up would be 2x Platinum by now? Obviously would have risked breaking their consecutive Top 10 hits which was probably more important to them at that point.
  13. 523k for Tangled Up! https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/girls-aloud-tangled-up-release-date-tracklist/ Basically 40-50 copies per week. That’s 20 more than Out of Control was averaging as of 2023 and similar amount to What Will the Neighbours Say?
  14. Never heard this, I dread to think which Bonnie Tyler song has been butchered (assuming it is a cover)!
  15. Can we just appreciate Brazil’s Apple Music streaming? Apple Music: 1. Danceteria 2. Bring Your Love 3. One Step Away 4. I Feel So Free 5. Read My Lips 6. Good For The Soul 7. Bizarre 8. Everything 9. Love Sensation 11. School 12. Love Without Words 15. Fragile 17. My Sins Are My Savior 22. Betrayal 27. The Test 32. L.E.S. Girl
  16. It feels like it touches on quite a few eras. There’s the very clear Erotica inspiration towards the end of the album, Ray of Light similarities on ‘The Test’, MDNA vibes on ‘Bizarre’ and I thought ‘L.E.S. Girl’ had a hint of American Life in terms of vocals. Who knows when we will get the next Madonna album - and I know it’s far too early to think about that - but I wouldn’t be surprised if she explored the Erotica sound further on her next album. I feel like there’s always a hint towards the next sound on the current album, in the way I Don’t Search, I Find may have hinted from Madame X.

Above is Madonna’s most streamed daily worldwide on Spotify the day before Confessions II debuted. Human Nature, Get Together, Secret, Angel and Girl Gone Wild all appear here but not in Madonna’s UK most streamed overall. Also I assume the streams from the Sickick remix of Frozen are combined with the original despite charting separately on the sales chart. No idea how well it did but presumably would have been enough to reach Madonna’s most streamed list if it was counted separately.
  18. Just speculation based on downloads only increasing 400-500 across two days despite the increase in download editions.
  19. I’ve actually grown to really like the cover, the deep purple is stunning and it was quite a brave move not to have them on the cover given how much image was a part of their marketing. Alongside the purple vinyl and fan artwork as the inner sleeve, it looks so appealing.
  20. Agreed. I think it’s basically an earlier version of the song, like if this was the only version we knew, it would be great, but what it progressed into has so much more bite to it.
  21. I'm having such a moment with 'L.E.S. Girl'. The way she sings makes me quite emotional actually, I know there's slight effects on her voice but there's still a raw quality to it. It helps you can hear her breaths before she sings and sometimes the voice trails off a little. Kind of reminds me of 'American Life' vocals.

This is what I have gathered for highest streaming chart sales for artists that made their chart debut in the 80s or earlier (in bold are solo acts): ABBA - Voyage (4,717) Red Hot Chili Peppers - Unlimited Love (4,122) Kylie Minogue - Tension (3,963) The Rolling Stones - Hackney Diamonds (3,225) Metallica - 72 Seasons (3,060) Kylie Minogue - DISCO (3,040) David Bowie - Blackstar (2,713) AC/DC - POWER UP (2,600) The Cure - Songs of a Lost World (2,577) Bruce Springsteen - Letter To You (2,381) Kylie Minogue - Tension II (2,271) Red Hot Chili Peppers - The Getaway (2,246) Elton John - The Lockdown Sessions (2,230) Bruce Springsteen - Western Stars (2,101) Not sure what streaming sales Madonna's last album 'Madame X' received, but given Bruce Springsteen had 2,101 chart sales from streaming at #22, we can assume Madonna (#33) was under 2k. 'Rebel Heart' received 416 chart sales from streaming, just under a month since streaming was included in the album chart.
  23. I guess with the alternative fan version being the inner sleeve? It would be nice if they had vinyl for both covers.
  24. Justin Bieber now confirmed as a co-headliner: Feels like a lot to cram into 15 minutes or so. Guess it’s not a bad shout getting Justin involved following the vitality of his Coachella slot but I think they’re over-egging the pudding with this halftime show, so to speak.
  25. This has been going viral on my Twitter feed: I can only assume “last three albums” refers to American Life, Remixed and Revised and GHV2.
