A return to the scene between emotion and irony
Thursday 17 July, at the Nereo Rocco stadium in Trieste, Robbie Williams held the only Italian stage of his Britpop Tour 2025an event that has been breathing enthusiasm for days: 28,000 tickets sold in Italy and abroad, files at dawn to the entrances, shuttles and extraordinary trains prepared to guarantee the influx of the public. Organized as part of the review Go! 2025 & Friends And the result of the synergy between Fvg Music Live, VignaPr, PromoturismoFVG and the Municipality, the live has proved to be one of the most memorable appointments of the Trieste summer.
A ladder that recalls the emotions of a generation
The concert retraced the salient moments of Robbie’s career: from Angels to Rock DJpassing through Feel and ironic interludes from the sailed entertainer. The artist alternated energy and irony, personal confessions and family memories, transforming each song into a living story. His voice, still powerful and recognizable, filled the square with a scenic presence that remains magnetic, capable of keeping the audience in hand even in the lightest moments.
It’s Great To Be a Cat: the song protagonist of web and television
Around the Trieste event, however, another success also refers: It’s Great To Be a Catsong made in collaboration with Felix – the Cats of Cats of Cats of Nestlé Purina Petcare Europe – released as a soundtrack of the new “Cattitude” campaign. From May 18, the song accompanies an animated and ironic spot, in which Robbie is the protagonist in a feline universe that celebrates “the freedom to be oneself”. Free, independent, irresistible: the cat becomes a symbol of a way of living beyond social clichés. “I am clearly my guide animal,” said Williams, underlining how his cats are an authentic source of inspiration for him.
The synergy between Robbie and Felix is not limited to the spot: the brand is officially sponsor of the European tour 2025. A natural encounter between two different universes but related: the voice of a performer and the irreverent charm of the animal universe. Luca Cavaller of Purina Italia has defined the project “a tribute to uniqueness, an invitation to live with irony, security and freedom”.

Luke Millar: Wētā FX Visual Effects Supervisor on working on Better Man
July 19, 2025 • 14 mins
Who else could pull off the animal transformation of one of the world’s biggest rockstars but Wētā FX?
Wētā is well known for its visual effects mastery, and so when Robbie Williams said “make me an ape!”, it’s only natural that they were the ones for the job.
The man responsible for Williams’ simian visage in Better Man was Visual Effects Supervisor Luke Millar, who was nominated for an Oscar for his work.
A visual effects supervisor is responsible for coordinating all the different elements that comprise the visual effects of a production – most of which is invisible in many movies.
He told Jack Tame it’s about balance – everyone always wants more for less, and so being creative and efficient is the name of the game.
When it comes to Better Man, Millar got involved after working on the pre-visualisation work for the musical sequences before shooting began.
“After seeing a couple of those sequences, I read the script, and that was me,” he said.
“I was all in at that point to, to want to take on the challenge.”

15 f***ing Amazing
16 100% Beau
17. Desire (Official FIFA Anthem)Well, I had feelings that Pocket Rocket would be the last song of the album but not sure I like the two songs have such big connections on a tracklist with 11 songs. So I'd prefer to see it on Deluxe.
Then, while I do like two first singles, I hope there will be not only 3-mins songs. Just listened Rudebox & IC (what the albums they were!) and just hope we will get some experimental songs with long lyrics.
Would be there any duets (not as musicians but singers) on the album?
What's the G.E.M.B means?
What song will be released as a single around the album release?
Will be another part of the Tour in UK?
What the sales will be without Tour (pre-sale tickets) support?
Oct-10 is a good date for the release by now (if you know what I mean) but following the schedule and we will see.
No covers (I think I can confirm that as 99%).
Still angry that More Than This & The Mother and Her Mother (both songs are gems for me) were just the bonus tracks of XXV... I would safe them for Britpop. They defo has English fleur & mood. The melodies are really strong in these songs.
If I'd decide to put Pocket Rocket or one of these two songs (already released) on a Standard version of BRITPOP I'd choose the second way.
I do like that Beau also will get his personal song :)

Contacted Seb before this photo and told him that French people have been very friendly to me, we met each other at the Moco one day before and then tomorrow. Very lovely people.
Seb have been happy to know I met his friends.
But it sad he wasn't there himself - his health is not good at the moment. Hope for his recovering soon!

Jonno Davies as Robbie Williams and Nick Nicolas as Tom Jones in 'Better Man'
Michael Gracey’s Better Man may have missed out on the visual effects Oscar this year, but four members of the production team have now received recognition from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences via invitations to join the organisation.
Costume designer Cappi Ireland and visual effects trio Keith Herft, Peter Stubbs, and Paul Raeburn were among 534 artists and executives to be extended membership overnight.
The list also included editor Bill Murphy (Memoir of a Snail), Transmission Films co-founder Andrew Mackie, producer Diana Ward, New Zealand cinematographer Gin Loane (The Convert), and See-Saw Films joint managing director Simon Gillis.
Ireland, whose upcoming credits include Stan comedy One More Shot and action sci-fi War Machine, told IF it was welcome news to wake up to.
“I only just found out I was nominated by my US agent this morning,” she said.
‘I was incredibly surprised and thrilled to be on a list alongside such a wonderful group of international filmmakers.”
Of the 2025 invitees, 55 per cent are from 60 countries and territories outside the United States. There are also 91 Oscar nominees, including 26 winners, and three Scientific and Technical Award winners.
In a statement, Academy CEO Bill Kramer and President Janet Yang commended the group of artists, technologists, and professionals for their contributions.
“Through their commitment to filmmaking and to the greater movie industry, these exceptionally talented individuals have made indelible contributions to our global filmmaking community,” they said.
