Of the previous 8 Script albums, including a GH, 6 of them went to #1 (the other two were #2) so I imagine they'll try to push for another #1, but I do think they'll be frontloaded so I wouldn't be surprised to see Phoebe hang on, I guess it depends if her streams can hold up throughout the week. I don't know how strongly either of them are playing the variants game though.

I'll be voting against tighter criteria - as long as the song isn't too well known I don't think it should matter that it charted for a week at #37 in 1993 or whatever. I guess a Spotify streams threshold is a better way to do it but even then it doesn't give the whole story of how well known a song is.

I spy a definite top 40 hit in there despite the "no charting songs" rule! Not complaining though as I really like the song. An interesting list of artists anyway, some I know, many I haven't heard of - looking forward to giving them a listen this week.

Because it wasn't an official single.

Wow this is really good! Go Natty B! Do we know if an album's coming?

OMG 'Hootie Fruitti' is brilliant, so much fun! Pure unadulterated pop, this is what we want from them. The whole EP is decent, 'Bel Air' is decent too, it's only the 5th song which feels a bit weak.

The album is decent, maybe even my favourite from them! Really loving 'Someday, Somewhere' in particular at the moment.

Yeah it's a "thanks but no thanks" from me.

Guessing the record label have only now decided to send it to radio as a single? That's how it always used to work, not sure if things have changed.

I haven't had my morning coffee yet

Thanks, I wasn't paying too much attention to last week's and I haven't updated my spreadsheet yet so she didn't come up when I searched for her! Anyway I've removed the first time tag for her in the OP.

Calvin and Harry finally off, about time. Thanks to everyone who kept the playlist going in my absence!

It was also an eclipse of the sun rather than the heart but there you go - if only the song had been called 'Partial Eclipse Of The Sun' it would be number one by now

Hey dude! Well watch this space but justice may be coming to be served next week Yeah Becky has done well, the next single sounds promising too so maybe that will go top 10 too. I think the main reason for charting Katy this late is that I've been on holiday so my chart's been frozen for 3 weeks. I do like the song, I think top 20 is a given, while top 10 is a possibility at this stage, we'll see Thanks Thanks Sergej, good to see that there's plenty taking your fancy this week

What's his birth month got to do with anything? Do people listen to an artist more during their birth month?

They definitely ignored 'Hips Don't Lie' at the time. 'Spinning Around' I'm not sure about, I don't remember it being ignored but I might be wrong, maybe someone with a better memory than me can confirm.

I can see FLO ending up at #4 now, unless they have physicals not yet counted.

4 singles in 4 months, she's really throwing them out there this era!

'We Were Only Young' was up there with their best but neither of the other two are doing much for me sadly

That's pretty cool Rich! Where are the vocals sourced from?

I've written/recorded loads of stuff in the past although I haven't done much recently. Quite a lot of my songs are at https://soundcloud.com/mango7 if anyone ever feels like listening - this is mainly my pop/dance stuff. I should probably edit the order and put my best stuff at the top but I can't be bothered at the moment. For a taster, I would maybe listen to the [Studio Version] tracks first e.g. Fly To The Moon, Like There's No Tomorrow, The Way You Look At Her. This was my attempt at a slightly tropical 2010s Avicii/Calvin style banger : Blow My Mind I've also recorded some rock/pop tracks but that's on a different soundcloud account. I've also collaborated with other writers. Maybe at some point I'll gather all my stuff together in one place!

I've written/recorded loads of stuff and always used Reason and Cubase. But I know garageband is also supposed to be good. I suppose it depends what kind of music you're intending to make.
