The UK Radio & TV Airplay Chart
The charts are very different. It's kind of difficult to judge. Like, Kesha is #14 on the second list - but not even charting on the first. And then how can Diamonds be 16 on one chart (the one without recurrent songs) - and then 6 on the other (actually above most of the Christmas songs and all newer singles)? For example the second chart shows Different by Robbie above Diamonds. But the first shows Diamonds with well over twice the spins and a hugely superior audience.

Significant Album Climbs in the New Year?
Could Kesha's Warrior go top 40? Having debuted at 66 or something

First no1 of 2013
Well the hot 100, yes, but the point is it went back to #2 on iTunes.

I hear you -_- She NEEDS to push this song on X factor. I know she won't but... the UK deserves a repeat of the SNL performance. ( http://vimeo.com/53250302 for anyone )

Diamonds might well take another week at #1 after the video :w00t: The next two weeks look quiet in terms of big releases

This years X Factor guest performances boosts
Rihanna's album will be released on November 19th.. so she will most likely take the Sunday 18th slot.

Far more I'd have thought. PSY will probably sell another 80k this week. And that's the thing, while Adele has huge selling power I don't think Skyfall is in any way comparable to Born This Way as a release. Lady Gaga has a much more immediate, obsessive fan base who had been hyped for 12 months for that song. Basically I don't think the demand for this song is actually that high. Personally I think it might make the lower top 10 this week and maybe climb a few places next week. I do agree that this is unpredictable though (Ellie puns forgiven :P ). I'm just not sure Adele is the immediate digital force people predict. Now if it were an album....

Well exactly. Some people seem to be predicting a miraculous debut in the top 3 though..

Everyone is completely overestimating Skyfall. It won't chart above 1D or Rihanna, that's for sure.

I don't think anyone expected Rihanna to be this close though. It seems likely that if Diamonds takes the lead after only 20 hours, her gap will only get bigger throughout the week. She could well bridge that gap :w00t:

The Kworb update!!!!! 1D - 1.0000 Rihanna - 0.9875 Maybe there is hope for Diamonds this week after all.

Ah okay, thank you! I suppose the EP counting as one sale makes it a little bit like buying an old physical single then! With B sides and bonus material.
-
iTunes Weekly Thread: W/C 30th September 2012
So... does anyone know how many sales the EP actually counts for? I mean, there are 4 tracks on it. But only 3 are LWWY versions. And it's only twice the price.

iTunes Weekly Thread: W/C 30th September 2012
Remember One Direction has the EP (currently #1 in albums) which most fans will have ordered. Huge amounts of sales will be there.

The overs are singing questionable songs. I know this isn't the live shows but... talk about dated and corny. I'm looking forward to Jahmene and Jade most. ^_^ Rylan and Lucy set to murder their songs.

They should release Diamonds in a week and a half. That's a relatively short repression for UK standards and means 1D won't be huge competition.

Rihanna - 'Diamonds'
It's really beautiful. Rihanna's star power should send it to #1, even if it's not very '2012'. Quite different.

iTunes Weekly Thread: W/C 2nd September 2012
There is no chance Tulisa's song will debut at #1. The song is like the "You da One" after a "We Found Love". Most likely Ne-Yo will hold for another week.

There needs to be some sort of miracle to save "How We Do" from reaching #1.. what a genuinely terrible song.
