  1. It's deserved! Extremely addictive song. :cheer: She was hot too so I expected a top 5 placing at least! Her slot in the middle must have been forgettable yeh.
  2. La La Love is doing the second best on both UK and Swedish itunes?! That's the Cyprus entry right? I voted for that, I am so surprised it didn't do better! Didn't even finish in the top half. :( How weird.
  3. Do The Wanted have promo lined up for the week? Looks like they might need it. They take #1s pretty seriously.
  4. 15 The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger 12 Christina Milian - Say I 10 Muse - Knights of Cydonia 8 Madonna - Jump 6 The Zutons - Valerie 5 HSM Cast - Breaking Free 4 The Feeling - Fill My Little World 3 Girls Aloud - Whole Lotta History 2 Pussycat Dolls - I Don't Need A Man 1 Shakira - Don't Bother -2 Daz Simpson - Teenage Life
  5. Does anyone think Where Have You Been could go #1 if Rihanna chooses a good week to do promo (with no major release)? Genuinely, her SNL performance of the song was pretty good... I think if she appeared on the Voice in a few weeks, when the airplay is higher, the song could climb to #1.
  6. Oh my god   :o Just, oh my god  The kind of post I will remember for a long time.
  7. 15? :P I'm thinking Someone Like You will win.
  8. Lots of Lana this week it seems Im going to contribute :P http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk113/Camzyphotos/Covers/LanadelRey-1.png
  9. Exactly. The comparison is irrelevant anyway since if VEVO had completely restored Rihanna's old views and included features, she would be well over 3 billion by now.

Girls Aloud would be on huge numbers if VEVO had been prominent since their debut. They would have hundreds of millions. I'm actually surprised Olly is so low since he is a completely new artist. He must be very local, compared to One Direction at least.

I think so yeh, on the day of release. The #36 was the official position on the Sunday, I remember them saying it sold about 8,000 copies in the UK.

For those wondering about the Alex Day song, it is a sort of campaign for Christmas #1. Not to overthrow X Factor or anything, its just a personal challenge as part of the 'Project For Awesome' campaign. It's also technically a charity single - I think all proceeds are going towards World Vision. The reason its "taking off" worldwide is because he generally has a huge viewing base on youtube and has been gearing up to to this week for a month or two. I don't know if you know much about youtube as a community, but you might have heard of 'charlieissocoollike'. Hes one of the power vloggers on the site and has over a million subscribers. Alex and him are best friends and live together, they used to be in a band etc. Alex's account on youtube is 'nerimon'. So essentially even though the campaign is for the UK charts, all his other viewers from other countries are buying the song anyway. It's interesting actually because Alex has made an entry in the charts before - I doubt any of you remember but on the week of the 9th November 2009 the song "I've Got Nothing" was released by the artist 'Chartjackers'. That was also a campaign for #1, and they peaked at #36 that week which isnt laughable. More info in the wikipedia page ( wikipedia.org/wiki/Chartjackers ). BBC made a series about it. Also, this is the video Alex released today on 'Forever Day' (the day his fans buy the song), which might make sense of it. DUbeDbG8Q-o
