  1. 438 songs now- All I Want is 2x platinum. Sure- might try and start it tomorrow 👍
  2. His last album was 2018 I believe, it's bound to be pretty popular at least for day 1. No big features so don't think he'll trouble the singles top 40
  3. Thinking this might be like Vampire and be a long-running number 2 to start out with. Not 100% sure it can beat Ordinary
  4. It could get a reset if it's increased by 25% as it hasn't charted since 2017. It went 5x platinum back in March, the first non-top 75 to do so
  5. Only 6 in the top 40 😭 and another 8 across the whole top 100 (9 if you count Back To Friends which was released on 27th December/start of tracking year). This time last year there were 13 songs released in 2024 in the top 40 and a further 10 lower down in the top 100. What a drop off, just so many monster hits last year, and of course the rise in streams for much older songs
  6. Also can I have the positions of Every Breath You Take and Cruel Summer please? Think I've messed up around the 70-75 area as I wasn't expecting Say My Name to be in that region yet...
  7. If those are the true sales of Back To Friends I was bang on with my initial estimate! Could see Shake It To The Max entering in around 3 weeks but not 100% sure about it
  8. Went for Perez Prado, Stones x2, Beatles, MJ, Offspring, All Saints, MCR and Chappell
  9. A lot of weird movements on Spotify. Jungkook- Seven the next botted song?
  10. Appears to be no Taylor effect on Spotify. Newbies day 2: Tate 10 Addison 123 Sammy Virji 161 Lorde and Miley out by the looks of it
  11. Luke Dean had a song called "Get Hard (You In The Lobby)" which I think was playlisted by Radio 1 for a while too
  12. After a great song with Dark Thoughts that new Lil Tecca song is absolutely awful- can't quite believe the sample

+5 Show Me Love +4 Blessings +3 Undressed +2 Ordinary +1 Love Me Not -1 Pink Pony Club -2 Bloodline -3 Family Matters -4 Azizam -5 Beautiful Things
  14. OK if Back To Friends isn't in this week I'll eat my hat, Don't Stop Me Now will fall out. Also thinking the next oldie to enter might be We Are The People, been popping in and out of the audio streaming chart quite a bit.
  15. Three new additions this week- Lorde's "Ribs", Oasis' "The Masterplan" and XXXTentacion's "The Remedy For A Broken Heart". Saw something about a 41 rate- will suggest we should have a rate ofthese tracks, most of them are more well-known here than the 41s!

Radio 1 did a top 100 for 2023 and 2024 only- they were archived on Mixcloud but the uploads have since been taken down
  17. Shut Up And Dance, The Night We Met and The Sound Of Silence are still in there (EDIT also Seventeen Going Under, Stick Season, All The Stars and of course Pink Pony Club)
  18. Wonder if Stargazing can also manage a million! Doing around 20k a week right now but it'll likely drop off
  19. Had an inkling Back To Friends would miss out again. If it doesn't show up next week that's when I'll be very surprised!
  20. Oh please no! Airplay would destroy the main charts
  21. Steve's lava chicken is tasty as hell!

Ah that's true but I think the original version is still fairly popular too. If we don't count that I'd put Maps (26) as their best remembered

Reviving another old thread 😆- most of the ones I would've thought of have been mentioned already. Will contribute with some names that aren't quite as big NSYNC- do people still remember Girlfriend (2)? Bye Bye Bye (3) and It's Gonna Be Me (9) are surely more popular now Train- think Drops Of Jupiter (10) and Hey Soul Sister (18) get more streams now than Drive By (6) Portishead- Glory Box (15) is more famous than All Mine (8) Republica- Ready To Go (13) is more famous than Drop Dead Gorgeous (7) Jamiroquai- highest charting is Deeper Underground (1), Virtual Insanity (3) is better remembered Sum 41- highest charting is Fat Lip (8), In Too Deep (13) is better remembered Korn- biggest is Here To Stay (12) when Freak On A Leash is better remembered (24) Yeah Yeah Yeahs- biggest is Date With The Night (16), Heads Will Roll (89) is surely their best remembered Nine Inch Nails- Closer (25) is way more famous than The Hand That Feeds (7) Tenacious D- highest is Pick Of Destiny (24), their best known is easily Tribute (80, but wasn't released as a single originally) The Libertines- would argue Don't Look Back Into The Sun (11) is better remembered than Can't Stand Me Now (2)
  24. Bump: we can remove 360 and add the following Top 10 Statues That Cried Blood- Bring Me The Horizon (31/05/2024) Wave- Asake ft. Central Cee (28/06/2024) Handlebars- Jennie ft. Dua Lipa (14/03/2025)
  25. We won't stand a chance of making the main chart but we could probably make the sales chart if we all rallied behind it!
