  1. Domino Dancing is just alright to me, prefer some other PSB tracks. Forgot About Dre and Dancing In The Moonlight are both iconic though, shame to lose them this early.
  2. Not saying he's not a streaming giant, just saying he's not as big of a force as before. The Highlights was year to date number 1 on sales of 110,000 this time in 2023, Ed is doing around the same now but is year to date number 3, plus at least 10k of those will be physical sales.
  3. For the first time since 2016 Ed had no songs in the year end top 100 last year. Perfect was in every year since its release, Shape Of You missed the one in 2020 but made every year's list up to 2022, while Shivers and Bad Habits were top 40 three years in a row (Bad Habits the only song to be top 2 for 2 years) then vanished from 2024's list. If the Tour Collection was released in 2021/22 it would've had The Highlights level success, possibly better, but it's currently dipping in and out of the top 5 less frequently than that album did. He's not as big of a streaming giant as before
  4. To be fair Autumn Variations was a low key indie release that received barely any promotion. Subtract still did solidly with only one big hit attached to it. But with interest in his back catalogue going down it's evident that Ed is falling out of fashion somewhat which makes me doubtful
  5. I'm not even convinced Ed will be in the running. Top 10 debut easily but if Eyes Closed is anything to go off he will struggle to go number one.
  6. Unfortunately can't help you on this one. The title of this thread made me think of this classic though so thanks!
  7. Nokia finally overtaking Not Like Us ☹️
  8. Creep and Labour before Brown Eyed Girl 😮 not too surprising given their performance on the indie chart though. Then again I thought Do I Wanna Know was doing better than both...
  9. Pink Pony still ahead of Anxiety...
  10. Yep but Mario said he found the sample from the Fugees song specifically and that's what is used in the song.
  11. I'll Be Missing You- Every Breath You Take Freak Like Me- Are Friends Electric Beautiful Girls- Stand By Me I Don't Wanna Know- Ready Or Not FURB- F*ck It I'm Good- Blue (Da Ba Dee) All come to mind
  12. Al Green and Wild Cherry have been pretty big losses for me, both huge 70s classics that I love. There's 2 versions of Let's Stay Together on Spotify with one of them having the backing vocalists mixed quieter, it's much better. Out of the others today The Lovecats is one of the weaker Cure songs I've heard, and my first listen of Get Together was thanks to this rate and it sounded so dated to me (not in a good way) so it's only 1 of 2 songs I dislike out of the 50 here.
  13. Pink Pony back up to 2 on Spotify, Doechii down to 5! Lil Tecca falls to 18 and WizTheMC up to 19. Jack and Doja out of the top 200.
  14. Marc Bolan should've got a songwriter credit on Cigarettes and Alcohol, that riff is ripped straight from Get It On. One of the weaker Oasis singles of the 90s but still decent.

Way Down We Go becomes the 64th song to go multi-platinum without reaching the top 40. Obviously a more common occurrence than I initially thought!
  16. Only new entries on Spotify are Jack and Doja at 62 and Yungblud at 192.
  17. I probably speak for most people with this but I do just wish whoever's in charge at R1 changed their current approach to the chart show, there's so much missed potential. They've shown a clear neglect/dislike towards it over the past year. Jack is a good presenter and clearly passionate but he's obviously being held back by producers/higher ups who are completely void of it. The chart has always been about celebrating the success of artists and today they seem to have forgotten that. They play it safe to maintain a casual audience with the track selections/not bringing up chart trivia often/constant shoutouts. If someone gave the show a proper rehaul (it's been the same format mostly since June 2018) and they didn't pull things like today I'd be completely happy with it staying on Radio 1!
  18. Why? Yes they have better presenters (imagine Mark Goodier doing it again!) but half the music would not appeal to Radio 2's audience and listening figures for the show would go way down. At this rate the Charts Company are better off just taking the reveal off the radio entirely and doing it on streaming services or something like that.
  19. Wonder if Greedy could also make an appearance. Hometown Glory might show up pretty soon too
  20. Always loved Flawless when it came on the radio but never knew what it was called or who it was by until this rate! Can see why it's so low though, it does get pretty repetitive.

  22. It's still scheduled on BBC Sounds. Did they say it would be cancelled on air? EDIT it's no longer scheduled. They'll probably play number one and do a top 20 rundown like they did for Big Weekend
  23. Big jumps for Lil Tecca up to 16 and WizTheMC up to 22
  24. Oof for Let Your Love Flow, at least it didn't come last. Absolutely love the song and the ad it featured in, one of the best to hit UK TV screens! Partly inspired me to pursue my current goals too so had to give it my max points
  25. Ended up doing one for Kendrick- GNX. Mostly accurate My ranking of GNX: 1. wacced out murals 2. reincarnated 3. man at the garden 4. heart pt. 6 5. gloria 6. tv off 7. squabble up 8. luther 9. peekaboo 10. hey now 11. gnx 12. dodger blue
