  2. Isn't it pronounced "Huntrix"? Messy OCC credits messing with James obviously
  3. It's only 3 minutes long!
  4. First time in a while they've skipped a non-problematic song at 40!

Hope they actually update the website on time as that'll put my plans for the platinum non top 40 rate in jeopardy...
  6. Gonna have to wait til 12th August...
  7. 43. 3 Doors Down- Kryptonite (94 points) Writer: Brad Arnold Producer: Paul Ebersold UK chart peak: did not chart Achieved platinum status on 01/11/2024 Top voters: ElectroBoy 25, chrissmith276 21, Viper* 21 A number 3 hit in the States and a number 8 in Australia, "Kryptonite" and the band's other work didn't really catch on in the UK during their heyday but they have enjoyed popularity here in the streaming era. It was first performed by the band in 1997 but had its official release at the turn of the millennium.
  8. 44. Petit Biscuit- Sunset Lover (93 points) Writer: Mehdi Benjelloun Producer: Petit Biscuit UK chart peak: did not chart Achieved platinum status on 24/02/2023 Top voters: danG 25, PedroNL25 23, Chez Wombat 16 This tropical house anthem was uploaded to SoundCloud in February 2015 when Petit Biscuit was 15 years old. It was officially released later that year in June. Despite not making the main chart it spent some time in the indie chart in late 2016/early 2017, re-entering and reaching a new peak there in Summer 2019. It achieved the same number of points and votes as "Losing It" and "Confident" but the 25 points awarded by Dan were enough to push it ahead of the other two tracks.
  9. 45. Fisher- Losing It (93 points) Writers: Brett Alan Fischer, Gita Lake, Paul Fisher, Thomas Earnshaw Producers: Fisher, Thomas Earnshaw, Brett Alan Fischer UK chart peak: 60 (9 weeks in the top 100) Achieved platinum status on 26/05/2023 Top voters: danG 23, detonate 23, PedroNL25 12 The Grammy-nominated "Losing It" was first played at Coachella in 2017 but after multiple bootleg releases Fisher officially released the track the following year. It has spent more time at number one than any other song on Beatport's top 100 chart (62 days). Ren used the beat on his song of the same name in 2022. "Losing It" had the same score and number of voters as "Confident" but received two scores of 23 compared to the one 23 vote "Confident" received, meaning Fisher only just finishes ahead of Demi.
  10. 46. Demi Lovato- Confident (93 points) Writers: Demi Lovato, Ilya Salmanzadeh, Max Martin, Savan Kotecha Producers: Max Martin, Ilya UK chart peak: 65 (4 weeks in the top 100) Achieved platinum status 26/01/2024 Top voters: AaronTM 23, GreyAsh 18, Viper* 12 "Confident" was the second single from Demi's 5th album of the same name, following number 7 hit "Cool For The Summer". Demi said at the time that this song was the "best way to represent her". She recorded a rock version of the track for her 2023 remix album Revamped.
  11. 47. Tinashe ft. It interpolates Sean Paul's "We Be Burnin'" meaning the song has 12 credited songwriters. It never charted in the UK but in the US it was Tinashe's only hit as lead artist until "Nasty" charted in 2024.
  12. Starts tomorrow!
  13. 48. Pitbull ft. John Ryan- Fireball (88 points) Writers: Armando C. Perez, John Ryan, Andreas Schuller, Eric Frederic, Joe Spargur, Tom Peyton, Isley Juber Producers: Ricky Reed, Axident, John Ryan, Joe London UK chart peak: 49 (2 weeks in the top 100) Achieved platinum status on 01/11/2024 Top voters: CianS 23, detonate 19, WhoOdyssey 13 Mr. 305/Mr. Worldwide's 2014 party anthem is his 11th and most recent single to go platinum in the UK. Its music video features former YouTube/Vine stars Jenna Marbles, Bart Baker and Brittany Furlan. Featured singer John Ryan is better known for his work as a songwriter, working closely with One Direction and Sabrina Carpenter.
  14. They should have greatest hits and 3 year old+ studio albums on ACR by default, that means their popularity is still reflected but they don't clog up the top 20 and stop newer albums from higher peaks. Top 20 this week with ACR implented: Yungblud Loyle Haim Benson Boone American Heart Sabrina Aitch Charli Tate Noah Kahan Alex Warren Chappell Billie HMHAS Ed tour collection Olivia Guts Addison Pulp SZA SOS Benson Fireworks Malevolence Sam Fender A lot fresher! While yes new albums would still have a hard time the sales would be absolutely miserable if greatest hits were removed altogether.
  15. 49. Lorde- Ribs (87 points) Writers: Ella Yelich-O'Connor, Joel Little Producer: Joel Little UK chart peak: did not chart Platinum status achieved 30/05/2025 Top voters: dandy* 25, Jade 20, rio309 17 "Ribs" was released as a promotional single from Lorde's 2013 debut album Pure Heroine but did not chart. It had TikTok revivals in 2020 and 2025, the latter coinciding with Lorde's return with her current (potentially first number one) album. It charted for the first time in Australia, the US and Ireland (where it reached number 16) this year but just missed out on a UK reset meaning it remains uncharted.
  16. Oasis tour impact will be very big by the looks of it then
  17. 50. Tom Grennan- Found What I've Been Looking For (80 points) Writers: Tom Grennan, Jordan Riley Producer: Charlie Hugall UK chart peak: 82 (4 weeks in the top 100) Achieved platinum status on 09/09/2022 Top voters: Mangø 20, ElectroBoy 18, GreyAsh 16 First released on his EP of the same name in 2017, "Found What I've Been Looking For" would later be featured on Tom's 2018 debut album Lighting Matches. It charted for the first time in October 2018 and peaked in January 2019. It featured on the FIFA 18 soundtrack and it was used as the theme of Super Sunday on Sky Sports from the 2017 season to the 2019 season, replaced by the current theme "Stop This Flame" by Celeste starting in the 2020 season.
  18. 51. Taylor Swift- Don't Blame Me (73 points) Writers: Taylor Swift, Max Martin, Karl Schuster Producers: Max Martin, Shellback UK chart peak: 77 (4 weeks in the top 100) Achieved platinum status on 11/08/2023 Top voters: ...ready for it 25, Maestro 18, AaronTM 13 Track 4 on Reputation was never released as a single but charted for the first time in May 2022 after some TikTok virality. Too bad the "Kate Bush effect" didn't happen a little sooner as it very likely would've been reset and in the top 40. "Don't Blame Me" would go on to be a staple of her Eras Tour in 2023-24. It's fairly unlikely we'll get a Taylor's Version of this now that she owns her masters.
  19. 52. Sub Focus and Dimension- Desire (65 points) Writers: Nicolaas Douwma, Robert Etheridge, Rachel Keen Producers: Sub Focus, Dimension UK chart peak: 51 (9 weeks in the top 100) Achieved platinum status on 27/10/2023 Top voters: danG 24, ElectroBoy 23, Mangø 6 Despite having 7 top 40 hits, "Desire" is the first of Sub Focus' two platinum singles, the other is number 12 single "Tidal Waves" which achieved platinum status 2 months after "Desire". In 2019 it broke a 5.5 year absence from the charts for Sub Focus. He and Dimension would collaborate again multiple times, eventually bagging a top 40 together with "Ready To Fly" in 2023. The producers co-wrote the track with Raye but the vocals are performed by the now in-demand dance vocalist Clementine Douglas.

It would be like if the Encanto ones credited every character alongside the actors 😂 For this one I don't get why they have to credit all the actors AND the cast of the film, isn't the fictional group's name enough?
  21. VOTING IS NOW CLOSED. Thanks to the 29 contributors. Results will start tomorrow (and don't worry, they won't be nearly as quick as round 1's 😁)

  24. After a proper look at the list I have a lot of cleaning up to do at the lower end for my estimates- I have a 9k gap between 86 and 85 which can't be right
  25. Not a big fan of him but Zach is by far the better artist between him and Alex. That being said I prefer "Ordinary" to "I Remember Everything"
