Odd that Gone Gone Gone keeps showing up during the early part of the week but falls a lot by the chart day.
  2. Still extremely difficult for new music to breakthrough. Years ago songs would be starred out and removed after they had declined for a period.

Looking like there might be no new entries into the top 40 which is very disappointing for a time of year when there should be a lot of new stuff.

Such a positive start to the year! Last week with all those classics back and Landslide finally being a top 40 hit. Djo getting a deserved No1. Now this week, 2 brilliant new songs for 2026 already in I just might and Midnight sun. Also enjoying that Choosin Texas too.
  5. I bought the Chicks version on cd single. And oddly "No degree of separation" by Francesca Michielin is one of my top 10 songs of all time!
  6. What a classic song, finally a chart hit!
  7. Very pleased that Diana Ross is back in top 40 after so long. And Zooey Deschanel gets a deserved hit at 97. A great week to be a chart fan.
  8. One of the best charts to listen to ever. It proves that a host of new/re entries make for such an exciting chart. Brings me back to the good old days. They have been so stale in recent years.
  9. Very pleased Turn the lights off was in top 40. But cannot understand why no Diana Ross, Cure or She & Him resets. Makes no sense.

Could we see Diana Ross with "Upside down" reset and possibly a top 100 for She and Him "I thought I saw your face".?

What has happened to Kato and "Turn the lights off"? I was hoping it would go top 40.

That Kylie song was even worse hearing it alongside the rest of that classic top 20. Very repetitive with the title word.

Beautiful song for Palestine. So deserving as a No1. If we cannot be touched by this then there is something wrong with our humanity.

The Kylie Christmas song is really dreadful. Like an AI churned out the most derivative song ever, in fact AI would likely produce something slightly more original. The Bleachers song has genuine emotion.

Playing 2 Lewis Capaldi in last 3 songs is dreadful.
