Disappointed that Nadia Ali is missing from that top 40 again. Lets hope she can climb by Sunday.

I would love to see Nadia Ali sneak into the top 40 but it is probably too late in the week now. She has been around 30-50 on itunes all week. Can she do it next week? It would also have been nice to see Etta James have a posthumous top 40 with "At last" but again looks impossible. I would like to see Lana Del Rey get to No1 next week. As for Rizzle Kicks, I am not sure I agree that a 59p track should be allowed to compete equally against 99p tracks!

I used to love this first chart week of the year when some new tracks would hit the top 40 after the christmas hols were over. However it is more difficult for them to breakthrough now in the download era which is not determined by stock on the shelves. How far is Nadia Ali with "Rapture" from the top 40? Is there any chance of her sneaking in the Sunday chart? it would also be nice to see Michael Kiwanuka get there too but it is unlikely.
