Sadly, at present she seems to be a week ahead of them.
  2. Sorry, didn’t spot your comments! But I do wonder if there might be 2 top 40 hits for Fleetwood Mac this week!
  3. Woah! Big day for Fleetwood Mac. New peak for ‘Little Lies’. ‘Everywhere’ nearly at a peak - and above both Mr Brightside and Ordinary. Landslide - up on last week, so looking to climb inside the top 40 and earn an extra week on SCR. And all in all looking good for ‘50 Years’
  4. Fleetwood Mac doing really well on Apple over the long Easter weekend! And ‘Little Lies’ re-entering both Apple and Spotify. I wonder if ‘50 Years’ will do enough to overtake RAYE, Harry Styles, Ye and BTS to reach a new peak. On the other hand, it’s great to see several new studio albums hanging around in the chart.
  5. So that could be two additional spaces in the top 40, but with nothing major coming out this week, two of the songs Outside the top 40 could climb in.
  6. I didn’t realise Maisie Peters ‘My Regards’ had been playlisted. One of my favourite songs of the year so far, but it’s a shame it hasn’t been a big hit. Just further proof to me that British artists have difficulty breaking through on the singles chart. In Maisie’s case, even after having a number 1 album (and a number 2).
  7. A quiet week this week! But I look forward to to Matt Terry‘s new one in a couple of weeks – his last one was one of my favourite songs of year so far.

I imagined that might be the case.
  9. Although I hadn’t checked Wednesday, I had noticed that in the middle of the week it was only 10% ahead, but by Tuesday it was back to 20% ahead. This bodes well for RAYE in the long run, as it suggests that her album is growing.

BTW - roughly how many plays would a song on the Buzz playlist get each week?
  11. Two of my top 5 made it into the top 5, with Linkin Park being my number 4. Smooth Criminal matches the position I gave it in the final of number 3! Being so far ahead of the chasing pack, it is clearly a well loved song. My only other vote to make it into the top 10 is still to come, and it also happens to be the only song from my original nominations still to come. So I’m hoping that Robyn wins - but Back To Black is also an amazing song, and just missed out on both my top 10 and my original nominations.
  12. Steady is my favourite song from Bella Kay so I hope it continues to grow.
  13. But you’d hope that the reset is the result of a strong increase that will eventually be reversed and will have three consecutive declines to get back to the level it previously was. But of course, this doesn’t always happen, such as ‘Landslide’.
  14. Oooh. Why’s Kylie in?
  15. Hi Twin! I completely agree with you about Green Day and Linkin Park. Though maybe we can’t be twins anymore, as you don’t know what four songs are left 🤣.
  16. Two great songs, though Green Day were by far the lowest of my remaining tracks. I thought Linkin Park were going to win, but I can’t complain as they are only one place lower than I placed them. I think it will now be Robyn v Enola Gay for the win - though Smooth Criminal is my highest remaining track - and the only one I initially placed above In The End. Smooth Criminal and Dancing On My Own are the only songs left from my original nominations, though both Back To Black and Enola Gay just missed out on an initial nomination, and all four are in my top 15 tracks in the final.

If Spotify is anything to go by, Where Is My Husband will not get a reset. Friday was its best day when it was 24% above last week. Another couple of days it has been 20% above last week, but its weakest performance was just 10% above last week. It will only get reset if its increase has been much better on other platforms.
  18. Yesterday, ‘Landslide’ was up 16k on Spotify compared with last Tuesday… just sayin’. Edit: Actually just checked and it’s similar for Sunday. Yay! Hopefully it can be in the top 40 again on Friday but Kanye will probably push it out.
  19. Love both of these songs. For me the original production of Ain’t Nobody is now a bit dated - but the song itself is amazing.
  20. Woah! I said the other day that’s my favourite too! We are like twins.

Glad to see that there is something here older than me… Even if just by a few months.
  22. All of the top 8 were in the top half of my list (and probably many of us can say that, hence they are so high). And half of those were in my original nominations. So keeping my fingers crossed for Smooth Criminal, In The End, Dancing On My Own and Ain’t Nobody.
  23. These statistics are amazing! Thank you. I particularly love the one about Jim Reeves. And great to see Kylie doing so well – the second highest female artist. And still above Taylor Swift for the time being. Intriguing to see only 3.5 female artists here: Madonna, Kylie, Taylor and ABBA.
  24. 3 brilliant songs. I have always loved ‘Rent’ and feel it is an overlooked classic, but delighted to see it so high. I prefer it to Suburbia - though I think ‘Suburbia’ is probably more commercial. Surprised ‘Fade To Grey’ and ‘Family Affair’ are so high. All the other songs are in my top 25 (though I did initially shortlist ‘Family Affair’ in the nominations round).

Wow! Love these stats. I had completely forgotten that Little Mix were in the lead and by quite a distance - but also am delighted and surprised to see Bananarama and Kim Wilde in there. I see a certain singer with dual British/Australian nationality is not included in the list.
