  1. Kylie is a reentry at 197 in UK most streamed acts of the day on Spotify. Top 200 songs is not out yet.
  2. FYI I bought a bundle but the cassette and CD have been dispatched anyway.

Pleased for Maisie Peters. It’s difficult for new (UK) artists to get a silver album.
  4. Yup: what Liam said (and more, but trying to not get involved.) Loving ‘My Oh My’ but respect that it’s not everybody’s cup of tea (and as a WAAAY over 35 year old, I’m quite partial to a cup of tea - as well as most of the music currently in the top 40).
  5. My Oh My still at number 1 on iTunes UK - Katy Perry is at 3 but she’s been stuck behind Shaboozey for a couple of hours. On streaming, Eminem is clearly the big debuter but on Apple Australia My Oh My is doing well - it’s at 116 with Katy Perry at 126, BUT I don’t know how many hours ago Katy’s track was released in Australia. My Oh My has been available for over 24 hours and I think it was at 113 an hour ago so it might have already peaked.

Eminem now number 1. But Cat Burns now 3 and 14! So hoping for a big hit album for her. She is one of the best new artists around, and she smashed her performance at Mighty Hoopla.
  7. I have it 18 on NMF! Do we all get a different NMF? As for the song, I love it more with each listen. So far, I don’t like it as much as Midnight Ride, but I still do enjoy it a lot.

I do love Marillion. They made my shortlist (alongside Big Country - I wonder if they will make it in.) And I have been known to add Sisters of Mercy to my playlists…
  9. This… C’est La Vie!

Skunk Anansie have exactly the same number of points as last year, but drop a little.
  11. No they are not. It’s an early entry upgrade. So £150 in total - a £100 discount. I agree it’s quite unfair - but it’s not quite as extreme as you make it sound. If things don’t sell out then they will often be sold for discounted prices. 40% discount is a lot, but not the 80% discount you’re implying.
  12. I paid £75 for all.com terrace I’m so bad - I keep getting this wrong
  13. I take that back. Gold circle is £50.
  14. Ignore my previous comment, the upgrades are available to everybody.

    Embrace had some great songs!

I loved Evanescence! They didn’t quite make my list though. Dubstar were great too. But those are two artists who had the 1 brilliant album and after that didn’t manage to maintain the momentum. BUT! My 23 pointer is not there! Yay! Last year nobody else voted for them so they are a new entry, but it’s good to see that they join my 6 pointer as a higher new entry that someone else has voted for.

Lots of great dance acts in there. Cascada and 2 Unlimited were acts I contemplated. James too.
  18. It’s great to see MR back up to number 16 on iTunes - right behind the current Official number 1 and 2.
  19. I’m loving ‘Midnight Ride’. It’s one of my favourite singles of Kylie’s in recent years - I certainly prefer it to ‘Magic’ and ‘Say Something’, and possibly even ‘Tension’ and ‘Hold On To Now’.

That was so awkward and I felt so sorry for them.

Oh no! So sad to see no-one else voted for All About Eve. Martha’s Harbour is one of my all time favourite tracks - and they had many great songs across their first few albums. I didn’t vote at all last time, but AAE gained 29 points, so I assumed they’d still pick up points.
  22. That’s brilliant! I hadn’t checked out the chart yet. It’s not a big hit, but to spend four weeks in that chart means it does have its support. I did like ‘Dance Alone’ but it really only got support on Amazon.

Glad to see support for Aqua. They got me through depression during my university days. Their debut album was beautiful and joyful - and had 3 number 1 singles. Their 2nd album was also brilliant - and anyone with two amazing albums was considered for my list of 30. And Toto: yes - I love ‘Hold The Line’ too.

Awww - with Aqua gone, that’s 4 of my 5 New Entries so far that no one else has voted for. Two more to go higher up, so we will see, but at least I’m still waiting for my 6-point New Entry to come. My favourite of the others from this list would be Chainsmokers. But - I’ve just realised that I’ve not ranked any artists whose debut albums were released after 2002, other than girl groups.
