  1. There's nothing really long-lasting about them, unless they release a big single / get attention. Come across as a bit "bored ex-public school alumni" do LDP.
  2. Nemo falls into the Eurovision contestants who visit the chart, and never see it again. See the acts from Finland, Norway last year. Last Dinner Party - they'll probably be an album style artist and a critics winner. Although a part of me feels, they'll disappear as soon as they arrive.
  3. I think streaming is a killer (some tighter rules are needed), but factor in other reasons such as radio stations playing just their one song (Heart ignoring Benson Boone and Teddy Swims stronger follow-ups), and of course the evil app of Tiktok. It just seems only a select fewwxan succeed.
  4. That's often the way and I'm guessing that evil app TikTok was to play. Artemas, probably some collab with a rent a singer like Ella Henderson.
  5. Interesting names given out there. Yeah Shaboozey screams one-hit wonder. I dread to think what it sounds like live, as it sounds autotuned to hell. Artemas is just faceless dance act that people quickly forget.
  6. I am not sure if it's in the right place to post, but who is this year's likely one-hit wonder out of the big hits this year? My money is on Dasha. I can't see her having any other hit either here in the UK or US than "Austin". Just limited potential, and her album hasn't been hit in either major market. Although he's had two top 20s and a top 10 album, I think Teddy Swims will be someone who will disappear and have limited success (mainly around the lower ranking end of the album chart).
  7. 'Underneath The Tree' reminds me of a Scandi Eurovision entry from the late 80s til the early 00s.
  8. Yay no Lad Baby! I think some of these contenders (bar the usual songs and the big names) will be lucky to make the top 100. That Sleaford Mods cover of "West End Girls" is like hearing someone drunk or high on karaoke!! Murdered that song.
  9. Why doesn't John Lennon Christmas song never do well?
  10. Here's an argument to introduce juries into the singles chart.
  11. Damn, Did you know LadBaby's song spread Covid and there are hidden particles in his song?
  12. Both are as bad as each other. If both care, why don't they do stuff all year around instead of Christmas battle?
  13. Thank you. I suppose people just know their audiences. Eventually it wears off in the end, but let's be honest - the charts is a former shadow of itself now and 2022 has been the worst year musically in my eyes.
  14. Thank you. I'm guessing it's delayed. I'd rather prefer Wham, Mariah or any Christmas song than Ladbaby. Shocking the one by John Lennon never does well. Kind of appropriate after all the stuff that's going on in the Ukraine.
  15. Sorry, but surely this should be about the music not people's political preferences? Remember Leave and Remain got votes from all sides of the spectrum. That's all I'll say. What's the gap between the top 2/3 even? As much as I don't want Ladbaby #1, I hate to say he knows how to manipulate. Sort of a smooth operator.
