Greatest Hits 2018 and full World Tour 2019
nirvanamusic posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI didn't know if this was in another topic so have started a new one. The reaction all round to their tour in Australia (two shows in) and the shows coming up in New Zealand and Israel has been so positive and well received! From first two shows in Australia glowing reviews including some 5/5's from Aussie publications!!! They are being well received for playing the hits familiar to the Aussie audience alongside the lesser known newer material for the audience. Those songs are also going down well with the crowds and getting some exposure. The audiences are really thankful they have come to their country and seen them. The arenas look packed from what I've seen online. This article gives some great information about their future plans including touring in North/South America, Canada and possibly Australia again in 2019. I think this is great and a no brainer now for them as they have seen first hand the joy and reaction of touring further afield for foreign fans. It's also converting some previously passive bystanders into fans so going and touring these places is a win win for the group as long as the show is good which we all know it always is. http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/music...f1e5f369d75489b This is the setlist for the Australian shows (am guessing it'll be the same for the New Zealand shows) In brackets is the Australian peak for that song. 1. Shine 2. Greatest Day 3. Get Ready for It 4. Giants 5. Hold Up a Light 6. Patience (29) 7. Pray (10) 8. The Garden 9. Up All Night 10. Said It All 11. Babe 12. A Million Love Songs 13. Everything Changes (58) / It Only Takes a Minute 14. Could It Be Magic (30) 15. How Deep Is Your Love? (12) 16. Relight My Fire (33) 17. The Flood 18. Cry 19. These Days 20. Back for Good (1) 21. Rule the World 22. Never Forget (12) They had two other songs chart in Australian top 100 Love Ain't Here Anymore (38) and Sure (31).

Take That Breakthrough Single/Album nation to nation
nirvanamusic posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatYes Ireland were the first non British nation to give TT international success followed by Belgium and Israel. Later as explained above TT popularity (i.e top 10 national chart status) caught fire with the Everything Changes cycle for other European nations and further afield. Ireland also comes out top for #1's overall (singles & albums) for nations outside the UK (information where present and only multiple chart toppers listed): Singles #1 1=Ireland/Latvia/Spain: 4 2=Israel: 3 3=Denmark/Germany: 2 Albums #1 1.Ireland: 5 2.Germany: 3 3=Austria/Denmark/Italy/Netherlands: 2 If only those 6 #2 singles had gone to #1 in Ireland also they would have been in double digits!

Take That Breakthrough Single/Album nation to nation
nirvanamusic posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI've decided to put down Take That's first top 10 single and then below album (charts where available) to show their breakthrough nation to nation for anyone who's interested! First Top 10 Single Australia: Pray Austria: Back For Good Belgium (Flanders): Could It Be Magic Belgium (Wallonia): Could It Be Magic Brazil: Back For Good Canada: Back For Good Chile: Back For Good China: Patience (before early 00's unknown) Czech Republic: How Deep Is Your Love (1996 chart established/published) Denmark: Everything Changes Finland: Relight My Fire France: Back For Good Germany: Babe Hungary: How Deep Is Your Love (mid 1995 singles chart was established however albums chart running since 1990. Never Forget just missed out at #11 peak) Iceland: Back For Good Ireland: Could It Be Magic (It Only Takes a Minute just missed out on #11 peak) Israel: Could It Be Magic Italy: Sure Latvia: Pray Netherlands: Relight My Fire New Zealand: Back For Good Norway: Pray Poland: Why Can't I Wake Up With You Portugal: Pray Slovakia: Patience (mid 2006 first published) Spain: No Si Aqui No Hay Amor (Love Ain't Here Anymore) Sweden: Babe Switzerland: Babe Taiwan: Shine (1997 onwards published) UK: It Only Takes a Minute USA: Back For Good Zimbabwe: Back For Good (Pray just missed out at #11 peak) Breakthrough Song Tally count by nations Back For Good: 9 nations Pray: 4 nations Babe: 3 nations Could It Be Magic: 3 nations How Deep Is Your Love: 2 nations Patience: 2 nations Relight My Fire: 2 nations Everything Changes: 1 nation It Only Takes a Minute: 1 nation Love Ain't Here Anymore: 1 nation Shine: 1 nation Sure: 1 nation Why Can't I Wake Up With You: 1 nation First Number 1 single Australia: Back For Good Brazil: Back For Good Canada: Back For Good Chile: Back For Good Denmark: Back For Good Germany: Back For Good Hungary: Cry Ireland: Babe Israel: Relight My Fire Italy: How Deep Is Your Love Latvia: Love Ain't Here Anymore Norway: Back For Good Spain: Back For Good Switzerland: Patience UK: Pray First top 10 Album - N/A = Albums charted in nation but none top 10. Highest peak in brackets alongside - Countries not provided either album charts were not published or not yet found for said nation Australia: Nobody Else Austria: Everything Changes Belgium (Flanders): Take That & Party Belgium (Wallonia): Everything Changes Canada: N/A (23) Chile: Nobody Else Czech Republic: Greatest Hits (1996 chart established) Denmark: Everything Changes Finland: Everything Changes France: N/A (13) Germany: Everything Changes Greece: Progress (1997 earliest charts available) Hungary: Everything Changes Iceland: Nobody Else Ireland: Take That & Party Italy: Nobody Else Japan: Nobody Else Netherlands: Everything Changes New Zealand: N/A (21) Norway: Nobody Else Portugal: Nobody Else Spain: Nobody Else Sweden: Nobody Else Switzerland: Everything Changes Taiwan: Never Forget: The Ultimate Collection (1997 onwards published) UK: Take That & Party USA: N/A (69) Zimbabwe: Nobody Else Breakthrough Album Tally count by nations Nobody Else: 10 nations Everything Changes: 8 nations Take That & Party: 3 nations Greatest Hits: 1 nation Never Forget: The Ultimate Collection: 1 nation Progress: 1 nation First Number 1 album Austria: Nobody Else Belgium (Flanders): Nobody Else Denmark: Greatest Hits Finland: Nobody Else Germany: Nobody Else Greece: Progress (1997 earliest charts found) Ireland: Nobody Else Italy: Nobody Else Netherlands: Nobody Else Spain: Greatest Hits Switzerland: Nobody Else Taiwan: Beautiful World (1997 onwards published) UK: Everything Changes What these top 10 breakthrough lists show is that as a band they were on the up in terms of global breakthrough in songs and albums and truly did quit at the top and their highest point. It also shows that the nations that first truly embraced them with chart success from the early Take That & Party album were Belgium, Ireland and Israel outside of the UK. The whole of Europe excluding France they broke with the Everything Changes album and singles as well as Africa, Australia, the Middle East and they were reported in print as 'chart stars all across Asia in 1994' though charts are elusive for the 90's on that continent. Everything Changes album was big in India and South Korea. Definite big hits however in Asia were Pray, Everything Changes, Love Ain't Here Anymore, Back For Good, Never Forget and How Deep Is Your Love haven't come across which others for the 90's. By the time Nobody Else and Back For Good came around in 1995 they were truly global with big chart success now including North and South America. Both continents had not been fully committed to by the band or approached until Back For Good huge success gave reason for promotion and presence on the continents. America and Canada were visited in early 1993 promoting It Only Takes a Minute in these countries. USA the single sank without a trace however in Canada it had a #20 peak though would be over two years until another Canadian hit #1 Back For Good. Pray was released in early 1996 and was modest hit (#55) there. How Deep Is Your Love was a huge hit in South America and in North America in other countries excluding USA & Canada (#80 peak in mid 1996). The bands top 5 most successful countries (information where available) during the 1990's and excluding the UK were: 1.Ireland 2.Belgium (Flanders) 3.Finland 4.Latvia 5.Denmark The bands top 5 most successful countries (information where available) since returning in 2005 and excluding the UK are: 1.Ireland 2.Taiwan 3.Denmark 4.Italy 5.Switzerland

nirvanamusic posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatFor the USA and South America argument I've found two great articles on that where someone has actually totalled it up and done market research for it. USA http://www.radiocremebrulee.com/take-that/...-tour-in-the-us South America http://www.radiocremebrulee.com/take-that/...n-south-america Now if only this could be handed to TT management and read... http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news...t-band-11248044 Luckily this interview says they are wanting to go to South America as well as Russia which would be fantastic and long overdue!

All official million selling plus singles in the UK
nirvanamusic posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatSingles Next closest to Multi-Platinum (1,200,000) Rule The World: 1,178,878 Next closest to a Million (1,000,000) Patience: 713,000 Next closest to Platinum (600,000) Never Forget: 524,000 Next closet to Gold (400,000) Everything Changes: 367,000 Next closest to Silver (200,000) A Million Love Songs: 195,500 It's crazy that with A Million Love Song high reputation and repeat performances on talent shows it's still yet to creep over 200,000 sales. However it's very close and it likely will after a little push in the future. I believe before the reunion it was on roughly 146,000 so has picked up around 50,000 sales in last decade.

Take That - Wonderland - 24 March, 2017
nirvanamusic posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI found a great website out of curiosity called setlist which lists all concerts by artists through their years and out of interest these are all countries Take That have done a full concert in if anyone interested: TAKE THAT (In brackets first year Take That concert in that country) AFRICA: No countries as yet ASIA: Indonesia (1995) Japan (1995) Singapore (1995) Taiwan (2007) Thailand (1995) AUSTRALASIA: Australia (1995) New Zealand (2017) EUROPE: Austria (1995) Belgium (1994) Denmark (1994) Finland (1994) France (2008) Germany (1994) Ireland (1993) Italy (1995) Jersey (2017) Netherlands (1994) Spain (2007) Sweden (1994) Switzerland (1995) UK (1992) MIDDLE EAST: Israel (2017) UAE (2015) NORTH AMERICA: Mexico (1993) SOUTH AMERICA: No countries as yet Top 5 countries by most concerts Take That 1.UK 2.Germany 3=Ireland/Italy 4.Australia 5.Netherlands It seems they have strong requests on social media in terms of nations looking for a first time TT concert in their country mainly from US, Canada, Chile, Portugal, Romania, Poland, Russia, Peru, Paraguay, South Africa, Argentina and Brazil the most. I looked at some other big boybands and some like Backstreet Boys really have been all over the world multiple times even playing small countries like Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia etc. They have played lots of countries across all the continents and although TT ended up global I wish they too were as driven to go out to these places. The willingness in recent years from Take That however is a good start from them. So in terms of touring since the reunion 2005 (12 years) by nations: First 6 years (05-11): UK, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, Taiwan, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, France (11 nations) Last 6 years (12-17): UK, Germany, Jersey, Denmark, UAE, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Israel (15 nations) Take That may not have done a lot of international concerts as yet however they did a lot of traveling overseas instead for TV promotion appearances. This was their promo schedule in the 90's outside of the UK on foreign TV shows/magazine shoots but not any actual concerts. The tours in countries are documented above which nations TT have done concerts. Listed below are national television shows and publications promotion trips. 1992 France, Spain, Germany 1993 January: Germany and Sweden February: USA and Canada March: Taiwan and Japan April: Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway and Finland May: USA and Mexico September: Japan, South Korea 1994 January: Belgium, Germany and France February: Italy March: Spain, Denmark April: Italy, Switzerland, Finland and France June: Japan and Australia November: Netherlands and Italy 1995 January: Switzerland, France and Germany February: Italy April: Monaco June: Italy, Germany, France and Spain October: USA and Canada 1996 February: Italy March: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Austria April: Belgium and the Netherlands 2006 Spain 2007 Taiwan, Japan, Germany, Spain, Australia, Italy, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland 2008 Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Greece 2009 Netherlands, Italy, Denmark, Germany 2010 Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Sweden 2011 Denmark, Germany, Italy, France 2014 Germany, Ireland, Netherlands 2015 Germany, Italy 2016 Singapore, Thailand 2017 USA, Australia Take That have done concerts in 24 countries (I've already included Israel/New Zealand), Westlife 35 nations and Backstreet Boys 55 countries.

Take That - Wonderland - 24 March, 2017
nirvanamusic posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatFor this tour the band are touring as well as Australia and New Zealand in November they are also playing in UAE (Dubai) and Israel (Tel Aviv) later that month. I think this is amazing for those local fans outside the EU to finally get to go to a TT show and not feel they have been forgotten or neglected especially as TT have been around (give or take) 25 years. They've waited and asked for long enough!!! Lots of excitement for those reasons on social media from those touring announcements. They just need to think about North & South America and Africa at some point to go to their fans on those continents and give them that oppourtunity. If they are planning a World Tour in a few years with the Greatest Hits going out to these places now before hand is always good as it acts as a pre-curser and can build more interest for a return later on. You have to be seen to be heard type of thing as even in a social media world being physically there and touring is still the most effective way. It shows a group is making the effort still and coming out to reach their fans further afield. This would mean that in recent years they've travelled touring shows to Europe, Asia, Australasia and the Middle East!

All official million selling plus singles in the UK
nirvanamusic posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatThe Official Charts Company has published all 311 songs to have passed 1 million in combined sales. http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/t...evealed__20459/ There are five boyband songs to have achieved this and Take That occupy two of those: 77. YMCA - VILLAGE PEOPLE - 1,555,948 175. BACK FOR GOOD - TAKE THAT - 1,207,286 186. NO MATTER WHAT - BOYZONE - 1,184,168 189. RULE THE WORLD - TAKE THAT - 1,178,878 212. WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL - ONE DIRECTION - 1,145,136 So it shows that Back For Good did eventually climb back over the Boyzone hit where it had trailed at end of 90's. Village People being a boyband is subjective as are Jackson 5, Bay City Rollers, The Monkees and The Osmonds as perhaps only claimed as such looking back in hindsight. However members have all appeared on boyband shows and documentaries so clearly don't have an issue being labelled as such.

Take That - Wonderland - 24 March, 2017
nirvanamusic posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take That2006 onwards I think their best has been (going off singles) Rule The World Patience The Flood Said it All Shine Greatest Day (not a favourite with myself though) Love Love Kidz These Days Giants (? Am unsure) That's 10 with 3-4 new songs added also. I feel like a 2006 great hit vol 2 would be better than an all years mix greatest hits. Separate the two eras however if it's a mix I think it should be 50/50 90s and 00s. This is also because they were far more well known back in the 90s all over the world and so 50% 90's would be fair seeing as any album or collection it is hoped would sell all over the world. I think Rule The World is a perfect title just as Never Forget was in the relaunch greatest hits PS - on a random note I came across an old article (2011) where the Chinese government had banned over 100 songs mostly Chinese or Taiwanese but a few Western artists also Lady Gaga, Britney, Backstreet Boys and Take That had four songs on the banned list 'The Flood', 'When We Were Young', 'Love Love' and 'Pretty Things'. I wouldn't have had those four TT songs down as being particularly threatening or any Take That song for that matter. Hopefully it's been overturned now and Chinese fans can enjoy those four songs.

Take That - Wonderland - 24 March, 2017
nirvanamusic posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatFrom the last greatest hits in 2005 'Do What U Like' was the only single omitted. It's been so long since anyone released a greatest hits I'm not too sure how many songs would go on it especially over 25 years and with 3 new songs. Seeing as this is a Best of collection having gone all around international iTunes certain songs have cropped up consistently within top 10 best sellers nation to nation. Top 5 by far: Back For Good, Rule The World, Patience, The Flood and How Deep Is Your Love (definitely underestimated by myself the sheer global reach of this single high up in all continents especially North and South America and Africa iTunes - frequent top 3-5 these continents). High up all over the world other songs which appeared quite often on the itunes bestsellers from glancing in no particular order are: Shine, Pray, A Million Love Songs, Could It Be Magic, These Days, Never Forget, Babe, Relight My Fire, Get Ready For It These songs below weren't particularly high up or certainly enough to hold a strong reoccurring impression but some had mixed popularity Contrasting in popularity songs below - Up and down across all countries Giants - I think being featured in the carpool karaoke helped this song in popularity in far off places but not as high overall or consistent as songs mentioned above Love Ain't Here Anymore - Overall quite down but interestingly very popular across Asian counties as in top 10 iTunes bestsellers frequently. Love Love - 50/50 in global popularity. High some places less so others. Quite high in Europe and Africa. It Only Takes a Minute - semi popular but often behind those mentioned above and not top 10. Kidz - Showed up highest on European store best sellers rather than any internationally but never top 10. Greatest Day - hit and miss in international popularity. Said It All - As above but more visible than Up All Night and frequently higher than that single. Cry - Hit and miss. The Garden - Hit and miss and only seen on European iTunes bestsellers and never high except in Denmark. Rarely seen Everything Changes (possibly always in top 20 but Robbie factor hasn't pushed this higher up in iTunes popularity across nation to nation than I would have thought and only always found after a little scroll down of country best sellers) Do What U Like - As above but very hit and miss Sure, Why Can't I Wake Up With You, Up All Night, I'd Wait For Life, Reach Out, Hold Up a Light, Happy Now, When We Were Young - Interestingly highest top 5 on USA iTunes of group bestsellers and just below Get Ready For It. Only nation it's high and visible on bestsellers. Promises, Once You've Tasted Love, I Found Heaven, Let in the Sun, Higher than Higher, Hey Boy - Though interestingly their highest iTunes digital seller in Bahamas so is loved on that island!
