I'd love for Gaga to release an album of extended mixes, extra tracks and videos to go with each track. There is so much potential for the album to be exploited massively. I get why the tracks are so short though. Not only will the streaming tally be higher but, I find I can play the whole album multiple times a day without getting listener fatigue. Smart moves.
  3. Dammit 199 points... So close to 200! Thanks for this game Jordan.
  4. 97 points so far. I didn't read the female artists with one #1 album question properly :-( I didn't see that it could include greatest hits as well lol
  5. It looks like we score 1 less than the number of people who answered.

Team Gaga has really pulled it out the bag this era. I haven't been this ready for an album of her's since Born This Way. My issue with Gaga has been a mix of her not being able to achieve the impossible of bettering The Fame Monster EP. Also, almost living on the Cardiff gay scene from late 00s to early 10s meant there was a LOT of Gaga exposure and it wound me up for some weird reason. With each album that followed came increased disappointment for me until I reached the point I couldn't even be bothered with Joanne. This time round, I ordered the bleeding Super Set from her website lol! Maybe she doesn't need RedOne after all.

Wow the news about Doja Cat being a racist has really battered her chart position...unless she's on ACR?
  8. I was expecting Rain on Me to be more the sort of diluted pap Ariana has been bringing out of late. So glad I was wrong. Love it!

    Blame Canada, Blame Canada!
  10. If I remember correctly, WYLLT was meant to be a double a side with Queen of my Heart but, it ended up being just a b-side on both CDs of QOMH...at least in the UK anyway. I only had enough pocket money for one single that week and I went for Cher's Music's No Good Without You instead so I can't remember the tracklistings for definite lol

  12. I made a mashup of sorts, combining If It's Lovin On Your Mind and 5ive's Don't Wanna Let You Go: if you want a listen.
  13. I used to love Tell Me Why, particularly when I first had the album all those years ago... However, after watching the American tour documentary the other week and, reading some stuff from that time, I've decided I don't like the blatant bitterness of the period and the knowledge that at least one or two of them were over Spice at that time. My top 5 from Forever would now have to be: 1 Goodbye 2 Holler 3 Let Love Lead The Way 4 If You Wanna Have Some Fun 5 Get Down With Me By the way, I made a mashup of sorts, combining If It's Lovin On Your Mind and 5ive's Don't Wanna Let You Go: if you want a listen.

The interesting thing about Little Mix is that there aren't really any comparable girl groups. Every one I can think of that even managed a 9th year did so through personnel changes (Sugababes), a long break (Girls Aloud) or on the back of reunion hype (Spice Girls, Bananarama, Destiny's Child). With Little Mix, they are in waters that have been uncharted for decades. Once the X Factor hype was done they managed a pretty successful run to 2015, managed to get bigger by album 3 which is almost unheard of, then bigger still by album 4. It took until their 5th "era" to start making the time-honoured mistake of getting above their station and thinking they could do better without the teams that put them where they were. And, as is often the case, it has failed to impress. I personally think that Little Mix were made in the right period of time, were able to use X Factor promo while the show was at its peak a la Cheryl and had the right people making the material for them. Now they don't have X Factor/Syco to fall back on. And without decent music to fall back on, I think their days are numbered. This isn't a Little Mix bash by the way. It's so depressing that the only remaining British girl group that's really visible is relatively floppy because I used to LOVE Little Mix, even before everyone else jumped on the bandwagon during the Black Magic period. As much as I think Louis Walsh is a bit of a knob, he was right when he said that a pop group is only as good as its last 2 singles and, Little Mix's last 2 singles were a dull Christmas turd and a cheap non-song with a bad 80s interpolation. It's quite sad really. With reference to the 3 solo females you mentioned at the start, none of them have shown longevity and consistency chart-wise in a way that Little Mix have. So, I don't think that people are unfairly branding Little Mix's current single as a flop to be honest, but, that's just my opinion. Each to their own and all that :)

The songs haven't been up to much for a long time now and, even though the current song is good it's just come out at the wrong time. Then again maybe they have their tried and tested-type remix featuring a rent-a-rapper ready to release in a few weeks.
  18. If you love Dua Lipa and Britney Spears, have a listen to my mashup of Hallucinate x Do You Wanna Come Over. thanks!

This just shows how awful sales are when PCD are sinking fast and they're still top 5 on iTunes, but top 100 on Spotify most of the week so far.
