Alex! I love your music, and Stupid Stupid sounds very good - I'm looking forward to seeing how high it gets in the charts! I'd have probably preferred Good Morning Sunshine to be a hit but it's probably too late for that as most of your fans will have the song already.
  2. Alex Day - Stupid Stupid is up to #144 on the iTunes chart with just pre-orders after being announced by Alex at 7pm.
  3. Lana Del Rey is at #87, so although well behind the other new songs it should get at least low top 40.

He's announcing his plans on 2nd December. From the sounds of things, he's going to be doing more promotion with radio stations ect., and continue to promote the song after the initial week of sales which sounds like a very good idea to try and avoid dropping out of the top 100 after a week. I haven't heard the song, so I'm not going to say "I hope it does really well", as I might hate it for all I know, but as an Alex Day fan I'm looking forward to hearing it for the first time.

I'm not suggesting that he's got a chance of Number One, but Alex Day is releasing his new single in Christmas week so he may be a top 10 entry like last year.
  6. Alex Day is releasing his new single, Stupid Stupid, on the 16th December - confirmed by the man himself in this podcast.

  8. I've recently noticed Eyes Wide Open being played in shops - I've heard it in Boots and TK Maxx.
  9. Robbie at #8 - looks like it's going to be number one! I quite like it, actually - and I'd much rather have it there than Wiley.

  14. I wouldn't buy it or anything, but it's catchy and all. It's a craze at school and I hope it gets to number one for a laugh!

  17. Looks like Gangnam Style might have peaked... It would have been funny to hear that in the top 40, I'm not going to lie!
  18. With Some Nights now top 10 on iTunes, I like 30% of the iTunes top 10 - it's quite often 0%, so that's pretty good!
  19. Carly Rae Jepsen just performed an acoustic solo version of "Good Time" on This Morning - hopefully this will help it stay Top 5 next Sunday.
  20. I didn't know of this practise before I found out about Lana's Paradise Edition. I think it's an absolute joke - if she's got 7 new tracks, then why not hold it back a couple of months, write three more songs and release a whole new album? I'd be happy to wait.
  21. I hope Good Time gets the number one when it's re-released, although I was one of the first to buy it from the album and won't be getting the single release. It's a shame that it's going to drop out of the iTunes top 10 imminently but having Some Nights enter is a decent trade, I bought fun's album last week.
  22. The number ones of this year, hmm... I love: Somebody That I Used To Know I really like: Payphone Call Me Maybe We Are Young I quite like: Paradise Spectrum I don't mind: Feel the Love Part of Me Good Feeling Domino Sing I don't like: Twilight Call My Name This is Love Hot Right Now I cannot stand: Young How We Do (Party) Heatwave Titanium Turn Up the Music R.I.P Bom Bom
  23. I can't stand any of the iTunes top 5. Good Time is climbing fast, could it even be top 40 next Sunday? Probably not, but it looks to be top 10 the week after, if not top 5.
  24. Guys, Good Time - Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen is no longer album only! I just downloaded it!
  25. Two awful new entries in the top 40 with Sam & the Womp and Taylor Swift. Though I'd rather have Taylor at No. 1 than one of the worst songs of all time!
