  2. That upload of The Chicken Song is not a legitimate re-release - the same artist has songs from the South Park soundtrack, Doctor Who themes, and others. Anyone can technically re-add any song to Spotify, and get away with it for a while if it manages to slide through any copyright filters. I'm sure it will get removed as soon as whoever owns the copyright finds it.
  3. Jedward and Marcus Collins are ahead of Joe McElderry, Matt Cardle and Leon Jackson, all of whom's singles were promoted on X Factor with them being returning winners. What.
  4. The artwork says it includes 17 number 1s. There have been 29 number 1 songs from X Factor acts; I am guessing Steve Brookstein's one hit and It's Chico Time won't be making it.
  5. Busted's top-selling single only sold 230,000?! That is unbelievable.
  6. Eminem's Berzerk is available in the UK Amazon store now...just not on iTunes? Strange.
  7. I presume he'll perform it live on the X Factor. Considered his debut was the best-selling X Factor winner's single ever, I'll be amazed if he doesn't get to number 1 again with this. Then again, no male X Factor winner has got 2 number 1 singles, which is an astonishing fact. Steve Brookstein, Shayne Ward, Leon Jackson, Joe McElderry and Matt Cardle all got 1 number one single each. I can imagine Simon Cowell might push this single hard to change that fact.
  8. Considering how highly Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' singles have sold in comparison to their album, this should hopefully do well. I would absolutely love it to get to #1, but even top 20 would be brilliant. When is it actually getting a UK push?
  9. This. As soon as I read you were inspired to do this thread by one artist going from #1 to #12, I thought of this fact. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_one-h..._United_Kingdom Lots of artists who reached #1, only to never have a top 200 hit again.
  10. Voted Top 40, because I couldn't vote "not in top 100". Their time has passed.
  11. It is down to 59p now...
  12. Credible? Sure, they took until series 3. But they had G4, Shayne Ward, Steve Brookstein, Journey South, Andy Abraham, Chico all getting top 10 hits - some of them getting quite a few hits each. The Voice has only had two top 10 hits - #10 for Bo Bruce's album, and Leah McFall's I Will Survive. The first winner's single has sold less than 10,000 copies...I do agree with you that it "could" pick up, and I hope it does - I enjoy the show, and there has been talent to emerge from the show that deserved to do better - but so far, it has been a huge flop of a show in terms of chart success
  13. This just makes me gutted for all the series 1 finalists. They could have shifted a load of single sales if they had studio versions of all of their live show performances released. It's also really quite sad that a cover that was probably recorded as quickly and cheaply as possible by Leah has sold more copies than any of the singles/albums that were promoted with music videos, radio interviews, advertisements, and had a lot more work on them in terms of song-writing and such. But hey, that's the way it goes.
  14. The most-viewed and most-liked video from any of The Voice series on the BBC YouTube channel is the duet between Jessie J and Vince Kidd from last year. Views and likes aren't always reflected in sales/success, strangely.
  15. The Voice had contestants choosing what songs they wanted to use in the last round before the live shows - can't get much more variety than that, surely? Plus, I bet as soon as the sales are released on Monday, they will be someone saying "oh, I can't wait for Iris to get to 1 million sales". As long as they sing it well, I don't see the problem.
  16. I'm gutted Vince Kidd isn't doing better.
  17. Vince Kidd - The Zoo EP

An album with cover art that grabs me is more likely to be purchased, of course. I have also previous bought albums purely because the album titled really struck me, or sometimes just because it made me laugh.
  19. Albums Rudimental - Home (deluxe edition from iTunes) I also am going to play Bo Bruce's album Before I Sleep on Spotify, to decide whether to get the full album or just get the single 'Save Me'.

I think this is what we call a thrashing. Daft Punk is in a different league to Loveable Rogues.

    I voted for Rudimental.

Definitely Rudimental - Waiting All Night. What a tune.
  23. Awful. Hope it doesn't make the top 10.
  24. I saw Plan B at the O2 supported by Rudimental, and the crowd were really, really up for them. Me and my friend loved them, and I have since bought Waiting All Night today and pre-ordered their album.
  25. I'm with you on this. :D
