  1. Love me not is still not old to me
  2. That's valid, honestly a pretty common opinion, idk if its the most popular one, but theres a lot of people who would say the same thing. For me, I think eics drags a little bit in the middle and that makes the difference. After because I liked a boy, I just think "we're back to talking about this? I thought we dealt with it in tornado warnings and read your mind" that doesnt go away til Nonsense
  3. I think itll either be August 1st before she does lollapalooza, or on album release, whatever the plan was will continue to be. Thats not too crazy of a drop, not one to panic release something for.
  4. To celebrate the 3rd anniversary, they just released pre-orders for eics fwd on her website, the first time fwd has gotten physical copies outside of Japan Link
  5. One thing I've loved since she's joined Island is how diverse her album is with sounds. It's all within pop (maybe except for slim pickins) but she brings in disco and r&b and country and some singer-songwritery type sounds that make emails i cant send and short n sweet both feel like a journey. It feels like genre is another tool for her to tell her story, not just the medium to which the story is told, which i think is really cool. I always like her with those sounds but i'd love to see her do something like On My Way again, I thought her voice held up really well to that kind of production. Is there anything youd like to hear in man's best friend?
  6. That was just a crazy time from her starting to get noticed through Taylor to feather finally feeling like she was getting chart success and then espresso just smashing through. I remember there was like a month where it went from only music spaces knowing who she was to every single person it felt like knowing who she is.
  7. I think a universal thing for Sabrina fans is a love for her lyrics. Maybe not always groundbreaking, but they are funny and witty and occasionally sad. What is your favorite Sabrina lyric? Mine is from emails I cant send, "You were all I looked up to, now I can't even look at you." The emotional punch of that at the end of a very personal song just hits me hard every time
  8. Oh they are lol, theyre complaining about what she's wearing
  9. Out of curiosity, what did you think of manchild? I wasnt the biggest fan of it but please please please was probably my least favorite of the top 10 hits (i still liked it, just liked the others more), and they kinda have a similar vibe That seems to be a common one
  10. Oh yeah that sold out very quick, they were only available in bundles this time I think. Sorry, I wasnt aware thats what you were seeking
  11. It's back up now, without a bundle
  12. Insanely quick. I posted it within 2 minutes of it going live in the UK
  13. I think the controversy is dumb, personally. There is no other era of pop where this would be controversial, but we're in an era where something cant just be mildly not good. So we have to create problems out of it. I appreciate what arguing about male gaze is trying to fix, but at a certain point it feels like it goes beyond its intended goal to become about insulting women for liking sex. And especially in a world where men sexualize everything no matter what you do, trying to police women to stop men from doing that feels backwards. And it gets worse when people argue that it glorifies DV. I'm sorry thats what is in your head, but imo this whole thing is an outrage in search of a problem, and thats the first thing that people could throw at it to try to find the problem. Personally, I dont like the cover. It looks like an outtake, it's not esthetically enjoyable, I wouldnt display it, and most importantly I dont think I'd ever become interested in hearing an album with this cover unless i was already a fan. I dont understand why anyone would see the 3 covers she has released and select that one to be the standard edition. But it's not problematic, it's just a bad cover
  14. Yeah it's my favorite one by far of the 3
  15. She just dropped a 2nd alt cover.
  16. I really like that sound for Sabrina, and I hope she explores it more someday, but those synth trumpets or whatever you call them in the post chorus hurt my ears. I love the remix that removes them though.
  17. Oh yeah, no worries, it might even be better cause then youll have MBF as well.
  18. Yeah, I definitely think this is a really popular feeling. I think her personality, not to say it wasnt in her old music, but it was kinda muddied with Hollywood records execs getting in the way through her first 4 albums. You can hear it in songs like Sue Me, but it's much less visible as a complete package. And EICS she finally gets a chance to get more of a say in her music, and she does start to show her personality in that record, but it's covered in the sadness of all the stuff she was going through. But then the personality driven songs really take off and she puts distance between all the events of EICS. The stars kind of aligned perfectly in that the world decided they wanted Sabrina Carpenter at the same time she was capable of delivering herself fully for the first time.
  19. Yeah thats a rough introduction lol, probably my least favorite song in her discography. Because I liked a boy is everything skin wishes it could be
  20. I'm excited for this! I heard people saying it should happen but I didnt expect to be selected as mod, so thats really cool. Hope we can have some great discussions over there and have a good time
  21. I honestly think above perhaps anything else, her showmanship is what made her blow up. Her music is great, but she just absolutely owns a stage. I saw the clips from hungry like the wolf and people had a good reaction for bringing out Duran Duran but they didnt seem to react much for the song. Which is a shame because I havent heard much from Simon Le Bon live but he absolutely killed it, his voice hasnt aged a day.
  22. Ooh, when you get the chance to listen to them, come back and post, if youre willing. Would be really interesting to hear what you liked/disliked from all of them after hearing them like that
  23. I get it. I cant relate but I get it. Please is such a different song than Espresso sonically, and she has said it was the first time she could fully embracing being funny while talking about a more real topic. Which really i think was a big part of why short n sweet became what it is
  24. Banger of a song. Those "hey, huh"s in the chorus is for me the best sound she had pre-emails i cant send
