  1. Sabrina is espresso though. Until she releases Guinness, the pubs might be out of reach
  2. 42k lead for manchild on Spotify
  3. What? The comment I was directing that at said that it was amusing she had stans after "flopping endlessly". Nobody was even talking about her release formula.
  4. Yeah I hate this current climate of discourse where anyone who doesn't immediately go big is mocked. As cool as it is to see people like Olivia and Billie be teenagers on top of the world, I think it's also really cool to see people who work hard for years to build themselves up into success. I find it admirable to continue to push yourself even when the dream is farther away. Anyone who thinks that is mockworthy, I think it says more about them than it does about the artist. And Sabrina in particular I think is a weird person for this conversation because she was trapped in a terrible contract she signed when she was 12 for 4 albums with a label built around music for children that refused to let her make anything that could appeal to adults. When she was actually able to negotiate a proper contract with creative control with a serious label, it took her 2 albums to become a global superstar.
  5. Sorry, I wasn't clear. he also tweeted at the same time about how people on Twitter were being hostile, mentioning sabrina by name. Didnt tell anyone not to send hate Sabrina's way while she's getting far worse tweets with way more likes. Made sure to do just enough to get sympathy for himself while making Sabrina's fans look bad
  6. I wouldnt normally say it. Plenty of people I don't like do good things, and plenty of people I like do terrible things, i'm just saying this is a tried and true method to gain sympathy in a close chart battle against a pop star. They play off the stereotype that pop stars and their fans are crazy chart obsessed and meanwhile claim they dont care so that neutrals choose to support them to send some kind of message. Travis Scott also did it, while he was pumping out a half dozen variants. I mean isnt it convenient he chose not to say anything when Sabrina on day 1 looked like she might blow him out of the water or day 2 when she looked like she might decline in a major way and not be a threat, but on day 3 when the streams stabilized and it was revealed that they were within a couple chart points of each other in the US
  7. Lol nah, its a tactic to get people to think hes being the nice guy who is unfairly treated so theyll support him. Playboi carti did the exact same thing to hold off Ariana and Selena in the US.
  8. You love to see it
  9. Taste's video would've been hard to top without a major actress like Jenna Ortega, so i think this is pretty solid numbers. Faster than espresso or pleasex3
  10. The good news for you is that there's a license plate in the music video that says "1d704a6" and someone speculated that it means the next single is coming july 4thc(704) and it's a continuation of short n sweet (her 6th album, a6). Idk what 1d would mean, maybe just that it'll be produced by Julian Bunetta and John Ryan (who did a lot of one direction production and also Taste for Sabrina), who knows? But I think the first two make a lot of sense because she likes to release new songs before festivals. This weekend is Primavera sound, for example. She headlines BST Hyde park on july 5th-6th. Anyway so if these festival releases are a continuation of short n sweet, sc7 might have a new sound
  11. The video for this is insane in the best way possible Idk how to embed videos but yeah
  12. Looks really strong from little bits of numbers we've seen so far but its so hard for me to say anything will do 70k+ without seeing more so I'll say 50-60 and #2
  13. I like the song personally, took a few listens but I got there. Catchy chorus, catchy bridge. Some pretty good insults in there which is always fun
  14. No it's available in the UK too
  15. Physical vinyls out week 1 and pretty affordable it seems. I think she has a good chance to take it
  16. It'll definitely be interesting to see what she does. If she follows the same timeline of Short n Sweet, she'd be releasing the album about the same time that she resumes the short n sweet tour. I'm not super well versed on artists touring while releasing an album, but the only one I remember is Taylor Swift, and Taylor's tour was celebrating all of her eras. But I could also see this just being a droplet before an album release next year
  17. One thing i want to say in this discussion is that y'all are lucky to get a chart show anyway. Not to say you shouldn't be upset, but in America we have a somewhat equivalent of the big top 40, and it's terrible. Sometimes they just randomly throw in songs because why not. And like 50 million ads, all for a chart that nobody takes that seriously. The hot 100 gets an article about the top 10 on Monday and the full chart on Tuesday. No chart show. I mean, there's a reason why I'm here and not listening to an American one (also cause yall have a little better taste). Missing out a few times a year still means you get almost 50 more than you could get.
  18. I'm not quite ready to rule out Ed's tour collection just yet. If Ed averages 9k (what he did this week) the rest of the year, he'll end up around 450. Short n Sweet would need to average ~5k the rest of the year to do 450. Which is totally reasonable, but I'm not sure it's a fait accompli.
  19. I think it'll be a very light 2.
  20. If beautiful things hit ACR, no doubt Music Week would've brought that up, right? I mean, thats a huge development
  21. I mean, I won't say it's impossible Juno takes off, but I see no indication more people are listening to Juno. Since her tour left the UK, it's been declining on Spotify. Right now it's starred out outside the top 40. I think right now the best move is to promote another song. I think Juno is destined to be like nonsense or feather, a fan favorite that Sabrina will likely forever be asked to play, but without the top level chart success
  22. I know I'm late to this but I really don't think so. I think the biggest issue for Juno is that it got the best promotion you could ask for with the Juno positions and I mean it went viral upon release on tiktok even before the Juno positions. And the best it could do is in the debut week, starred out between 13 and 14 and stuck hopelessly behind the first 3 singles+ good graces and bed chem. What else could you do to promote the song to achieve higher? I don't think a video would capture that same level of attention. To me, I think if she releases a new single, it'll be 15 Minutes. It got little attention outside of the hardcores, but that means it has a lot of room to grow. And it's giving Feather, both in how lighthearted it is and sonically. And Feather is what I'm modeling this push after in my head, a final single pushed with a big budget music video to remind the casual listener of Sabrina shortly before the release of her next album
  23. You love to see it. Was hoping it was coming last week, feels like it was only a few hundred units shy (Edit: only 231 units shy last week, insane). Hopefully millionaire sometime next year. Wouldn't be completely mind-blowing to see it go 3x platinum by the end of this year
  24. Taste and please please please are the new emotes, espresso is an old one and taste/please are based on her tour dances so they're used more. But Juno, nonsense, and feather are also in the game as jam tracks
  25. Yall gotta admit, its a great prank for spotify to leave us waiting like this, making us turn on each other
