https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckgvpz0kry8o Near the bottom there. I mean I suppose it could've been a typo

But according to the BBC, another rule is not having 2 top 10 singles, and she achieved her 2nd on the chart revealed September 20th.

And if she's not nominated for best international artist at the Brit Awards, I'd be shocked.

Yeah thats odd to me. She's had a #1 album and spent 26 weeks in the top 10, including 16 weeks in the top 5 of the singles chart.
  5. Short N Sweet is quickly reeling in 3rd and 4th. I know as soon as December hits, things probably will get a little wonky but another 2 weeks before December should put it I'd say 7-8 below Stick Season and 2-3 below HMHAS, and she should be able to coast from there
  6. 100/1 on Ariana honestly might be really good odds to take depending on when she ships her 10th anniversary Santa tell me physical singles.
  7. Tate might be saved too thanks to 2 hands, if that boosts it's ok I'm ok at all

Taste this week, Short n sweet next. Good couple weeks
  9. I've been following Taste's climb, so I was also curious about that
  10. Its crazy that thick of it's high without ACR is 17, a full 11 spots below its peak
  11. Chappell is a bit off pace. If she maintained her current production through the end of the year, she'd finish with 294k, by my math
  12. If Brat maintains current numbers, it'd have just enough. Nobody else seems to be on pace
  13. Ah, well then I give up lol. ACR is confusing
  14. Now I might be totally wrong here, I've been known to be dumb, but as I've understood the rules, being 3 years after release only matters for the mechanism of how songs get reset off ACR. In the rules that I'm reading, the only time a song's age is mentioned is for an automatic reset. And if that's true, a song should forever be on SCR until it charts at least 9 weeks and declines in streams for 3 straight weeks
  15. Three Lions did go 1->141 this year, don't know if that's the record though
  16. Love Song for me, the story of it being about being tired of her label demanding a love song and replying with basically "drop me if you have to, I'm not writing you a freaking love song" and the label loving it and it becoming her biggest hit ever is just too good
  17. Not denying he's got a big fanbase, by any means. I just don't see any other reason he could've gained the way he's done here other than the day change. He hasn't had any huge hits or viral moments or controveries that get his name in the news, hasn't done anything that could grow his fanbase, and suddenly he's on pace to have the best week of his career with half of it non-existent. All of it adds up to him being right that debuting on a Monday is better
  18. Dude hasn't had a top 20 hit in 5 years in the UK. Never has had a top 10 hit. When was the last time you saw someone that fits that description drop an album bomb, and suddenly challenge for multiple top 10 hits? You're telling me it has nothing to do with the fact he released it on a day nobody else was?
  19. Not really, a ton of debuts get lost between Friday and Monday. Especially when there's 10 other debuts happening the same day. The numbers speak for themselves, one of the biggest debuts of the year on Spotify and challenging for a top 10 in multiple countries where he never has
  20. He prefers this more than he cares about charting. He'd rather you talk about his album all week then he would land a number 1
  21. Good odds Short N Sweet takes 5th next week. I could see it being 3rd by the end of the year
  22. I thought of something, when do they music week chart and sales report, do they both report Thursday the same? Like, could the false Thursday be used for the sales report and then the true Thursday numbers be used to determine ACR?
  23. Yeah he's said he wants to bring back music being released early in the week because he thinks it gives people a chance to really listen to the music instead of just listening passively while partying or whatever on a Friday night. Which, good for him I suppose, charts aren't everything
  24. Agreed. I want taste to get its last week and then APT can go wild
