  2. This week sees 4 new songs in my Top 10, while there are only small changes in my Top 6. Sombr spends a third week in the top position followed by non-movers from Sofia Camara and Alison Goldfrapp at places 2 and 3. At 4 and 5 Florence + the Machine and Chappell Roan gain one place, whereas Ethel Cain loses two positions. New in the Top 10 are songs from Sigrid (up 8), Black Honey (up 3), Perrie (up 5) and Isabel Wood (up 11). That Isabel Wood song is absolutely fantastic and please check this song out as it seems based on YouTube clicks she does not have a big audience so far. There are 8 new entries in my Top 50 this week coming from Royel Otis, Ella Eyre, Sabrina Carpenter, Hayley Williams, CMAT, Mulaa Joans, Wolf Alice and Jessie J. Full audio countdown Top 50 1. 3. My ratings of the songs. 1- ICE ICE BABY- Vanilla Ice (6/10) Obviously this is a bit cheesy but still a fun song. 2- JUSTIFY MY LOVE- Madonna (9/10) Great downtempo song - quite hypnotic. 3- SAVIOUR’S DAY- Cliff Richard (2/10) Just no! 4- ALL TOGETHER NOW- The Farm (10/10) Epic classic. Loved it from the first listen. 5- UNCHAINED MELODY- Righteous Brothers (5/10) Was never the biggest fan of it, but it is OK. 6- UNBELIEVABLE- E.M.F (10/10) One of my favourite songs of 1990. 7- DON’T WORRY- Kim Appleby (7/10) Quite catchy, but not that memorable than the Mel & Kim songs. 8- KINKY BOOTS- Patrick McNee & Honor Blackman (4/10) Not my cup of tea. 9- THIS ONE’S FOR THE CHILDREN- New Kids On The Block (1/10) NKOTB had some good songs, but I can't stand their ballads. 10- WICKED GAME- Chris Isaak (10/10) So good. This is so well produced and everything fits perfectly.

  5. It is the same for me. "Rein Me In" was a Top 5 hit in my charts, while her other stuff did not even enter my Top 50.

This is so boring - I don't understand why this is a Top 3 hit.
  7. CMAT, Jessie J and Sabrina for me out of these, but my favourite new pop song this week is Ella Eyre "Red Flags & Love Hearts" for me.
  8. I like the 70s and 80s yearbooks, extras and vaults. Very good selections and only a few mistakes. The 90s ones are pointless for me as I have the riginal single CD's of nearly all Top 20 hits.
  9. 01 Ethel Cain - Willoughby Tucker, I Will Always Love You 02 Alison Goldfrapp - Flux 03 Grace Davies - The Wrong Side Of 25 04 Jessie Murph - Sex Hysteria 05 Royel Otis - Hickey 06 Black Honey - Soak 07 Wet Leg - Moisturizer 08 Lorde - Virgin 09 Yungblud - Idols 10 808 State - Ninety
  10. The Sofa is very good and my favourite song from the album. Ethel's album is fantastic and it is good to see so many of her songs in your chart. Wondering that Florence + The Machine did not chart. Also check out the new Royel Otis album - it has some brilliant songs.

For me "Wet Hot American Dream" is by far the best song on the album. The rest is just average.
  12. Hi Piran, nice to see the new entries from Sigrif and Perrie. Loads of Ava Max new in your chart. I like "Wet Hot American Dream" from her new album, but the other songs not so. Nice chart.
  13. Hi JSG, Jade's run is going on. ;) Fab chart.
  14. Thanks for commenting here :) Glad that all of you also have Hideaway in your list. @dandy* great list of songs. I agree with your comment on the Felix release. @TheSnake I also prefer "Run away" and the stuff they did together with MC Sar. @Bjork great list of indie songs from that week @King Rollo "A Girl Like You" is ace, also like the Suggs song. @Jade Great list of songs. Absolutely forgot to put "Alright" in my list. One of my favourite Supergrass songs only topped by "Caught By The Fuzz" and "Richard III". @My Random Music It is great to see your votings in your blog. I'm also not to keen on the original mix of "On The Bible", but the Wand Remix is great imo.

  16. This week 11 songs entered my Top 50 including brilliant contributions from Florence + The Machine, Perrie, Sigrid, Leigh-Ann and Hanbee. There is a lot of frsh wind in my chart this week and four songs are new in the Top 10. Besides the awesome "Everybody Scream", Alison Goldfrapp, Ethel Cain and Chappell Roan jumped into my Top 10. 17. I'm sorry - Mr. Brightside was great in the beginning, but played to death the last 20 years. So my vote goes to take That.
  18. Rob Thomas - the only song I did not remember and after a short listening I know why.
  19. 1995 is one of my favourite years for pop music. I have created a playlist including 70 songs of the UK Top 75 as charted on 27th of August 1995 - they are arranged as countdown from #75 to #70. All sounds are from my personal Single-CD collection. There was plenty of great dance songs (mainly Eurohouse at this time) around, but you find also Britpop, Indie Rock, R&B, Reggae and Pop. Unfortunately 5 songs are not included, because I don't own them as Single-CD. These are: Beverley Knight - Down For The One (#55) Teenage Fanclub - Neil Jung (#62) Mike & The Mechanics - Anotehr Cup Of Coffee (#65) Cyndi Lauper - Come On Home (#66 - actually I have the dance mixes of it, but they are too long to be put here) Alison Moyet - Solid Wood (#71) Now talking about my favourites. These are my 10 favourite songs from that chart: De'Lacy - Hideaway (One of my favourite house songs of all time with great vocals) JX - Son Of A Gun The Original - I Luv You Baby Edwyn Collins - A Girl Like You Blur - Country House Ash - Girl From Mars Mary Kiani - When I Call Your Name Deuce - On The Bible TLC - Waterfalls Diana King - Shy Guy What are your favourites from that list?

  25. Thanks for your comments. The order of the songs is in a way that they fit together. I may put it in order later 😉. Living on video is absolutely brilliant and very influential. 😉
