  1. 27 Sofia Camara - Girls Like You (365 points, peak @ #6) "Girls Like You" introduced me to Sofia and became a big hit for me. What a great pop singer - another one who should have a breakthrough soon. First line: "I know my past and I repeat it And I know a warning sign when I see it Maybe the bad ones are my weakness Tell me a lie and I will believe it"
  2. 28 Addison Rae - High Fashion (365 points, peak @ #1) Great debut album from Addison with loads of hits. From the songs released by her this year, "High Fashion" is my favourite - great hyperpop. First line: "Have you ever dreamt of being seen? Not by someone, more like in magazine Wanting something more than just a hit Nothing else can make me feel like this"
  3. 29 Alison Goldfrapp - Strange Things Happen (363 points, peak @ #2) Alison still on fire. "Flux" made it into my Top 20 albums of the year. "Strange Things Happens" is a beautiful, dreamy synth-pop anthem. First line: "We're right out on the edge, daring the stars to fall Spinning out in the dark, out of control So high, then it's slow, moving with you again I wanna know how it feels letting us go"
  4. 30 CMAT - Euro Country (361 points, peak @ #1) This is the title song of one of the best albums of the year. CMAT delivered big time this year. One more to come from her later. First line: "Cad is gá dom a dhéanamh mura bhfuil mé ag bualadh leat? Tá ceann folamh agam, yah, agus pearsantacht nua Éirím níos dofheicthe, is tú imithe, ó mo shaol Níl aon rud fágtha sa scátháin An mbeidh mé álainn mhaol? Yeah"
  5. 31 Madison Beer - Bittersweet (359 points, peak @ #5) Madison Beer is an American singer and songwriter known for her powerful vocals and polished pop sound. She gained early attention in 2012 and later rose to fame with hits like “Selfish” and “Reckless.” Madison blends pop and R&B influences and is also recognized for her advocacy around mental health and self-confidence. "Bittersweet" is a great pop song. Hopefully, there will be a new album soon. First line: "Can't believe it ends this way, thought you'd always stay. Now I gotta wonder what I changed. Think I have to go, walkin' all alone. Hate to see it all go down the drain."
  6. 32 Spellling - Mount Analogue (344 points, peak @ #2) Spellling is an indie-pop singer from Oakland, USA. "Portraitf Of My Heart" is her fifth albums. "Mount Analogue" is a beatiful synth-pop song from this album. First line: "Time is off the dial Deep into denial I fear your touch But I won't run I just roam Into your world"
  7. 33 Sombr - Back To Friends (343 points, peak @ #2) Sombr's second strike. One more to follow from him. First line: "Touch my body tender. 'Cause the feeling makes me weak. Kicking off the covers. I see the ceiling, while you're looking down at me"
  8. 34 The Lathums - Stellar Cast (338 points, peak @ #1) The Lathums are an indie rock band from Wigan. They released their brilliant third album "Matter Does Not Define" this year, of which "Stellar Cast" is my favourite song. First line: "There's a stellar cast, an anticipated gale. And I can't see past this Jamaican ale It's making me wobbly, it's almost sent me to my knees"
  9. 35 Purple Disco Machine & Alison Goldfrapp - Dream Machine (338 points, peak @ #2) Beautiful synth pop dreams produced by Purple Disco Machine with stunning vocals by Alison Goldfrapp. A combo that can't do wrong. First line: "Hello, I'm Dream Machine, there's no uncertainty. The rhythm of our minds in perfect harmony"
  10. 36 Tame Impala - Dracula (327 points, peak @ #6) Tame Impala is the psychedelic music project of Australian multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, who writes, records, and produces all the music, while a live band (including Jay Watson, Dominic Simper, Cam Avery, Julien Barbagallo) performs with him. "Deadbeat" is their 5th album, of which "Dracula" is my favourite song from. First line: "The morning light is turning blue, the feeling is bizarre (bizarre) The night is almost over, I still don't know where you are"
  11. 37 Sofia Camara - Parking Lot (325 points, peak @ #2) Sofia Camara is a Portuguese‑Canadian pop and R&B singer‑songwriter born on May 21, 2002, who first gained attention posting cover songs on social media before releasing her own emotionally driven pop tracks. I came across her song as recommendation from someone posting on the UK charts website. "Parking Lot" is a fantastic pop ballad. Sofia is definitely someone to watch out in the future. First line: "I saw you yesterday, I didn't even say hi I know you don't deserve that, but I couldn't find the words"
  12. 38 Jade - Before You Break My Heart (319 points. peak @ #3) Another great song from Jade, who had such a fantastic year with a great album. One of my favourite artists at the moment. This is a great adaption of the Supreme's classic soul song. First line: "Stop in the name of love Before you break my heart Stop in the name of love Before you break, break, break, break"
  13. 39 Jorja Smith - The Way I Love You (318 points, peak @ #1) Great bassline tune with fantastic vocals from Jorja. Hopefully, she will further release that kind of stuff in the next year. First line: „I don't wanna be without your love. I don't wanna be without your trust. I don't wanna leave before I tell you I'm the only one that loves you“
  14. "Maria" is great. I have ranked it slightly higher. What a comeback from Blondie. Here are my places 10 to 8, which were all already introduced: 10 Lou Bega - Mambo No. 5 (A Little Bit of ...) 8.5/10 09 Shanks & Bigfoot - Sweet Like Chocolate 8.5/10 08 Robbie Williams - She's The One 9/10 From my Top 7, 4 are in common with Gooddelta 😉
  15. Not a big fan of Five - for me another exchangable boyband - like there were so many at that time. And their Queen cover is so wrong. "Keep On Movin" is one of their better songs, that's why I ranked it @ #24.
  16. 40 Sienna Spiro - Origami (309 points, peak @ #7) I discovered Sienna the end of last year. Since then she released hit after hit. I believe she is the artist I mostly listened to in 2025. I was so happy for her that she made it into the UK Top 10 in November. I hope the next year will be fully hers and she will start through like Olivia Dean did this year. Album is on the way - really looking so much forward to it. "Origami" is a real grower, which gets better with each listen. More to come from Sienna later. First line: „Watch you on the TV, Driving your Ferrari, why do you go without me when I’m not next to you“
  17. Wow - that is really a big gap between #1 and #2. Nice list of songs in your top 20. 13 of them also charted for me and 7 of them are in my Top 100 of the year.
  18. 83 Kym Sims - Too Blind To See It Produced by Steve "Silk" Hurley, who brought us the iconic "Jack Your Body" in 1986, this was a big hit on the dancefloors around the UK in 1991. "Too Blind To See It" stayed in th UK Top 10 for 7 consecutive weeks in Late 91/Early 92. Kym Sims was no one hit wonder, because she had two further hits in the UK Top 40 ("Take My Advice" and "A Little Bit More"). Both sounded quite similar to the initial hit, so that her success faded after these two singles. She had two minor hits later on with "I Must Be Free" (#76 in 1994) and "We Gotta Love" (#52 in 1996).
  19. "You Don't Know Me" is a banger and slightly higher in my listing. At that time Armand could not go wrong. I had that tune quite earlier, because I bought it from the album sampler in 98: https://www.discogs.com/release/3398-Armand-Van-Helden-2-Future-4-U-EP . "You Don't Know Me" was oonly my third favourite from that release behinf "Entra Mi Casa", an infectious latin house banger, and "Necessary Evil", a tune that destroyed every dancefloor in 99. The Powerhouse song is one of the biggest songs of 1999. It is one of the most euphoric house anthem ever with great vocals and a great production by Lenny Fontana. Also the "Full Intention Power Mix" is very good.
  20. Let's Get This Party Started!!!
  21. Faster Harder Scooter
  22. Clearly Jack Johnson for me.
  23. 84 EMF - Children EMF (Epton Mad Funkers) are an English alternative dance-rock band from Cinderford in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, formed in 1989 and best known for their global hit single Unbelievable. The group blended dance, rock, and pop with heavy use of samples, quickly breaking through in 1990–1991 with Unbelievable and their debut album Schubert Dip. "Schubert Dip" is a really strong album featuring not only their Uberhit "Unbelievable" but also further great songs such as "I Believe", "Lies" and "Children". "Children" peaked at #19 in April 1991 and is another excellent guitar rave tune.
  24. 41 Suki Waterhouse - Dream Woman (299 points, peak @ #3) Suki Waterhouse is an English model, actress, and singer-songwriter. She began her career as a teenage model, working with major fashion brands and appearing in international magazines like Vogue and Elle. In parallel she started making music. "Dream Woman" is a fantastic uplifting dream pop song.
  25. 42 Rachel Chinouriri - 23:42 (299 points, peak @ #3) Rachel Chinouriri is a British singer-songwriter from London, known for her emotionally candid lyrics and blend of indie pop, alternative, and R&B influences. I believe she is short before her commercial breakthrough placing already one song in the UK Top 50 this year. "23:42" is my favourite from her so far, an absolutely infectious indie pop song.
