Hi Sven, nice to see Nicole Kidman climbing. Time for Adéla to each the top spot.
  7. Hi bGood, Paracosm is an absolutely great song. Nice to see Housewife charting too - a big return from Tate.
  8. Hi John, the new Temper City is not bad. Nice new entry from Gerry Rafferty - great classic from the late 70's. My recommendation for you this week comes from Haute & Freddy - their latest song is synth-pop at its best:
  9. Favourite new entries at 7 and 8 - can't get Johnny Kitagawa out of my head the whole day. Housewife and Malibu are BOP's too. I guess Expectations will never click with me.
  10. Agree - this will be definately affect my rating.

  14. Tove Lo's Stay High should not be chanceless
  15. An ace song - really loved it in 2015 and still do, eventhough the overplay dropped it a bit down. However, still a strong #10 in a very competetive year. 02. 16. As you might know I have a big CD collection. So from time to time I love to re-build UK Top 40 countdowns using the original Single-CD's as source. I did some of these countdowns in the past on my mixcloud page, but did not create any for quite a while. Today I was hooked on the charts from 30 years back. Spice Girls at number 1, Faithless making their breakthrough, and plenty of dance favourites and Britpop along the way. Back to the week ending 26th of October 1996. I was a big fan of dance music at the time, and looking through this chart, quite a few of my favourites are herevarying from trance to euphoricand disco house. Faithless’ “Insomnia” and B.B.E.’s “Seven Days and One Week” are my two big trance favourites this week. I love the build-up in “Insomnia”, with Maxi Jazz’s voice and that anticipation before the synth riff arrives. “Seven Days and One Week” has that dreamy, hypnotic melody that I could happily keep listening to. Both reached number 3, although “Insomnia” needed a second release to get there after only reaching number 27 in 1995. E-Motion’s “The Naughty North and the Sexy South” and Duke’s “So in Love with You” represent the more euphoric house side of my taste. Jeremy Healy & Amos’ “Stamp!” ia another great dance tune released on the famous Positiva label. Stretch & Vern’s “I’m Alive”is pure disco house euphoria for me. That “Boogie Wonderland” sample from Earth, Wind & Fire is worked well into a banging production. Bally Sagoo’s “Dil Cheez” is another personal favourite: an uplifting, hypnotic Indian pop song. Suede's "Beautiful Ones" and Babybird’s “You’re Gorgeous” are my favourites from the Britpop side of the chart. My pure pop favourite is Dina Carroll’s “Escaping” among my pop favourites. Of course the two Spice Girls songs are ace too. There’s plenty more across the full countdown too: Suede, Cast, Manic Street Preachers, Fugees, Blackstreet, George Michael and Céline Dion, finishing with Spice Girls and “Say You’ll Be There” at number 1. Hope you enjoy listening. I’d be interested to hear which ones you’d pick from this week! Tracklist: 00:00:00 Frank ’O Moiraghi feat. 17. The Darin song is blocked in Germany on Spotify.
  18. As mentioned in Jaz's thread this was killed a bit by overplay for me, so it is only #24 for me but in a very strong field for me. Get Lucky has aged so much better. 02. 19. I love both, but go for Prayer In C here
  20. Jerk It Out for me
  21. Hi Jade, Where is Gone is also not a Fontaines favourite of mine, but really like Japan. Nice to see Mantra in your Top 10 - like this song so much more than Shygirl's previous one. The new Tomora is OK, but they had better tunes in the past.
  22. Hi Sergej, nice to see Housewife - hope that it can make it into your Top 10 next week. Great gain for Test My Luck - such a grower! Nicole Kidman also movin' in the right direction.
  23. Hi Piran, nice to see Gravity. A great pop song - I had charted this one too.
  24. Thanks for commenting. Housewife is fantastic indeed - hope it can get the #1 in the official UK charts. Great selection. Let's see how long Faouzia will keep the top spot.
