  1. Never thought that Liberty X song is so unpopular - I found it quit nice - gone for James Morrison as I find that song really boring.
  2. Unfortunately overlooked this thread. "I Feel You" and "I Want To Be Free" are my favourites so far.
  3. 82 Off-Shore - I Can't Take The Power Off-Shore were a German Dance project lead by Jens Lissat, who was one of the key dance producers in germany at that time and also formed the well-known dance project "Interactive", who had hits with "Who Is Elvis", "Dildo" and "Forever Young". "I Can't take The Power" is a nice little euro-piano-house banger, which reached #7 in early 1991.
  4. 1991 was all about dance and rave - and this is way underrepresented on the NOW's. It is really a pity as the 70's and 80's yearbooks work quite well, but the 90's yearbooks are a big disappointment as they seem not to like 90's dance music, eventhough the "Such A Good Feeling" release was quite good. Anyway I am not in the focus group of these relöeases as I own nearly each UK Top 20 of the 90's on single CD's and can easily compile my own compilation from it. I did already a 5 part series of 1990, but may create another one for 1991. Here is my 1990 with all sounds sourced from my single-CD collection:

Hope Bruno can climb further. Nice that Sienna's second song in the Top 40 climbs aome places. Is it known how "Choosin' Texas" performs?
  6. "Choosing Texas" for me - this will be a big hit already #5 in the US. On heavy rotation this weekend here.
  7. "Grace Kelly" is great and would be in my Top 3, eventhough it denied "Starz In Their Eyes" a well-deserved #1. "Starz In Their Eyes" is among my 3 favourite songs of 2007.
  8. I created playlists for NOW81 and NOW82 and added some of the main ommissions at the end. Unfortunately for each compilation one of the songs featured on the NOW's is not available at Spotify: NOW 81: Gym Class Heroes Feat. Neon Hitch – Get Yourself Back Home NOW 82: Lawson – When She Was Mine
  9. Pretty Green Eyes - such a banging tune.
  10. Robin Schulz the only one I have put in my playlist.
  11. Go for Sarah - it is better than "Talk To Me"
  12. My tune is also mainly instrumental but features a vocal from Twin Peaks.

Speed garage was the precursor of it heavily inspired by jungle but with a 4 to the floor beat. The most famous thing was the Armand van Helden Remix of "Professional Widow". Other great charting tunes were 187 Lockdown "Gunman", Double 99 "Ripgroove", Kathy Brown "Turn To Sugar", Serious Danger "Deeper" and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels "People Hold On". I will create something.

I will create a compilation on the best speed garage around in 97/98. Don't know whether all the material is available on spotify, but I got all relevant stuff in my single-CD collection and may upload it to mixcloud otherwise. 😉
  15. Go Ella - this should end up in the top 10.

Sienna Spiro should be breakthrough artist of the year.
  17. Not a big fan of "Beautiful Liar" - this would be several places lower for me definitely behind "Ruby" and the Timbaland songs. "Shine" is a good song but would also be 2-3 places lower for me.
  18. Eminem - Lose Yourself is anyway superior to Bump, but even it would be vice versa I would not vote for toxic P.Diddy.
  19. Quite good stuff - I just found his tunes a bit short but bits and flow are alright.
  20. Love both "Down Under" and "Every Breath You Take" - good positioning.
  21. Grace Davies - Super Love Me Superinfectious - come on TikTokers invent some dance to it and make it famous. So much deserved!!! Such a great vid too.
  22. The Zephyra Continuum has sent its contestant.

Good selection here - great work. In 98 I was much into dance music and it was a transition year from speed garage to trance and funky house. I will delve deeper into it this evening, but one song I am missing is the great cover version from Juliet Roberts of "Bad Girls".
  24. Close race between Connie and Erin, which Connie slightly wins.
  25. Love "Hey There Delilah" and "Breathe"
