  1. Have no big recognition of "About You Now" - too standard - would have preferred "Let Me Think About It" and "Valerie" in here - unfortunately both were denied "Give It 2 Me" is another great Timbaland production - he could not do wrong at that time.
  2. Heaven vs Hell - Murder On The Dancefloor for sure - "How You Remind Me" one of the most horrible songs ever for me.
  3. Awesome #1 - Super Love Me is also in my top 10. The video of it is also a winner.
  4. Submitted one of my favourite 10 songs of the year, would have a plan b if it is already in.
  5. Voted for all songs in my current Top 50. Nice to be back to usual without the christmas song armada

  7. Here we go for 2026. Because of the festive days my chart is delayed by two days. This has the advantage that I could already include some of the new releases this week. There is a new superstar in my world called Annalisa. I received her album this christmas and it absolutely blew me away - what a brilliant pop album!!! Of course she also takes over the #1 spot in my singles chart. Top 50 1. Annalisa – Maschio (New) 2. Jade – Church (11) 3w 3. Francesca Michielin – Francesca (14) 4w 4. 8. New Edition sounds like a Jacksons copy - was never a big fan of the song. "Baby Jane" is a solid pop song I quite like and would turn the volume up when it comes on radio. "Karma Chameleon" has definitely an annoying factor. Always found it a bit too cheesy. Would be behind "Baby Jane" for me. Culture Club have much better songs, particularly "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me".
  9. I wouldn't mind to do either 1993 or 1994.
  10. It is great to see that our #1's are identical. "9PM" is such a great trance track with a balearic feel. André Tanneberger is from my hometown and I listened to some of his sets through the nineties. He also produced some rave stuff before starting his ATB-project. This one was really funny: He was also part of the rave project Sequential One. As said earlier the brilliant original of 9pm was even topped by the brilliant Matt Darey Remix, who added some extra melody over the guitar. One of my favourite UK #1's of all time. At 2 I have Christina Aguilera "Genie In A Bottle" and at 3 Ricky Martin "Livin' La Vida Loca". I love latin pop music and both are absolute feel good songs with catchy riffs. Here is my full listing: ATB - 9PM (Till I Come) Christina Aguilera - Genie In A Bottle Ricky Martin - Livin' La Vida Loca Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee) Blondie - Maria Britney Spears - Baby One More Time Armand Van Helden - You Don't Know Me Robbie Williams - She's The One Shanks & Bigfoot - Sweet Like Chocolate Lou Bega - Mambo No. 5 (A Little Bit of ...) 11. It is really funny that "Dream Woman" has the same position in my and your end-year chart. Also like the songs from Turnstile, Hatchie, Royel Otis, Alison Goldfrapp, Florence and Japanese Breakfast. Except for Florence, I had other songs from their albums charted.
  12. Sofia Camara was one of the big discoveries for me this year. "Girls Like You" is wonderful. Also like the several Jade songs. "Silver Spoon" is quite good, but it did not be become a large hit for me.
  13. The only two songs I like a bit are "A Moment In Time" and "Beautiful Girls", but both no real favourites. Looking forward to the top 10.

  17. 01 Damiano David, Tyla & Nile Rodgers – Talk To Me (628 points, peak @ #1) Brilliant duet of Damiano and Tyla - they harmonise perfectly in this fantastic synth-pop production. My #1 for 2025. First line: "You look like someone I know Pretty like a picture, dangerous as a dagger I know l've been here before There's something so familiar, guess I'm going with ya"
  18. 02 Sienna Spiro - Die On That Hill (584 points, peak @ #1) Sienna's breakthrough hit! A fantastic power ballad. Hopefully, it will rise higher in the new year than place #9 in the UK charts. First line: "Got me to stay, said that you need me Stop 'cause these words don't have a meaning No, they don't, at least not to me There'll be a day, I'll be more creative A poetic way to say I'm not leaving To the world, not to your face, hm"
  19. 03 Sombr - 12 To 12 (565 points, peak @ #1) Such a fantastic breakthrough year of Sombr. Only killers, no fillers. "12 To 12" is my favourite Sombr song so far. First line: "I don't want anyone else From the hours of 12 to 12 I am not the least compelled By anyone but yourself Look at me, it makes me melt I know you wanna see me in hell, my love I'm dealing with the cards I've dealt While you're dancing with somebody else"
  20. 04 Yungblud - Zombie (551 points, peak @ #1) "Zombie" is the stand-out song from Yungblud's fourth studio album "Idols". A great indie rock song with a catchy refrain. First line: "If I was to talk about the words They would hurt, they would hurt So, if you were to ask about the pain I would lie, I would lie To fix my mind, I need time But it's running out, it's running out"
  21. 05 Tate McRae - Sports Car (548 points, peak @ #2) "Sports Car" is a superinfectious pop song with a brilliant hook and together with "Greedy" my favourite song from Tate. "Sports Car" is the highest ranked song, which was not #1. First line: " Hey, cute jeans (jeans) Take mine off me (me) Oh, golly gee (gee) I can′t take no more, I'm goin′ weak in my knees Where'd you put those keys? We can share one seat (seat) We can share one seat"
  22. 06 Sigrid - Two Years (500 points, peak @ #1) "There's Always More That I Could Say" is such a fantastic pop album. "Two Years" is my favourite song from it and a brilliant piece of pop music. First line: "Oh, girl, what are you doing in that night dress Oh, girl, are you in love or are you restless? I've been chasing you for two long years And I'll wait But it won't be the same again"
  23. 07 RØRY - Morality $uicide (495 points, peak @ #1) RØRY is the stage name of English singer-songwriter Roxanne Emery, known for her raw, emotionally charged alternative pop/rock sound. Her music explores mental health, grief, addiction, and survival, resonating strongly with fans through its honesty and intensity. After years working behind the scenes as a songwriter, RØRY found major success as a solo artist, building a devoted following through viral releases and powerful live performances. Her work blends anthemic melodies with deeply personal storytelling, positioning her as a distinctive voice in modern alternative music. "Morality $uicide" comes from her debut album "The Restoration of RØRY". A great alternative pop song with a message. My favourite song lyrics of the year: "I think that maybe there's a problem on this planet When did war become our universal language They drop bombs and turn a hospital to ashes That's collateral damage There's people starving children dying in this madness And politicians funding wars with people's taxes And they found oil but they can't find a cure for cancer There's profit in disaster You took your faith and you burned it alive You wrote your name in a phosphorus sky Who cares who lives when you've already died Morality suicide Morality suicide Their enemies are refugees stood at the border Big Corporations putting poison in the water They're up in arms when someone's son becomes their daughter I'm tired of this torture I'm tired of the lies in the government too It's not genocide if it's not on the news This ain't a democracy This is hypocrisy This is atrocity You took your faith and you burned it alive You wrote your name in a phosphorus sky Who cares who lives when you've already died Morality suicide Morality suicide Suicide Morality suicide Who cares who lives when you've already died Morality suicide Morality suicide"
  24. 08 Grace Davies - Super Love Me (481 points, peak @ #1) From one of the best albums of the year comes this super pop song. It is a mystery to me why it did not have bigger commercial success. Grace is an unique artist with so much potential. The music video is also supercool - one of the best of the year. First line: "It felt so supernatural to have you hold me A super kinda comfortable to have you around Why d'ya have to make it like you super loved me If you're only gonna go and super let me down?"
  25. 09 CMAT - Take A Sexy Picture Of Me (478 points, peak @ #3) Together with "Euro Country" this is my favourite song from her album. An infectious pop anthem - I don't know why this did not go higher in the UK charts than just peaking at #42. This one deserves top 10 at least. First line: "Ever since I was a little girl I only wanted to be sexy Nine years old, tryna wax my legs with tape There were some things only I can see A little spot that can't be lifted On my left hand, dig in like a car key"
