10 Bdrmm - Infinity Peaking (464 points, peak @ #1) Bdrmm are a dream-pop/shoegaze-band from Hull, England. "Microtonic" is their third album. "Infinity Peaking" is a brilliant shoogaze song from that album. First line: "Forgiving myself one more time Again Staring out at the world I have created So lost, so lost"

11 Sienna Spiro - Maybe (449 points, peak @ #2) The song that introduced me to Sienna in December 2024. In December 2025 I can say that she among my Top 3 artists of the year together with Sombr and Jade. "Maybe" is a fantastic power ballad, perfectly written to make Sienna's voice shine. First line: "All I wanted was to be your hostage For you to tie me up and never let me leave If we're honest, it took the longest Time for you to even notice I was here"

12 Jade - Plastic Box (432 points, peak @ #2) Hi - it is Jade again. From all Jade-songs released this year, "Plastic Box" is my favourite. A brilliant dreamy pop-song. First line: "Found your love letter to her I'm trying to be cool but it really f***ing hurts I'll just do what I do Silently torturing myself"

13 Sabrina Carpenter - Busy Woman (430 points, peak @ #2) "Busy Woman" came from the deluxe version of "Short N Sweet" and is an infectious pop song. Unfortunately, the songs from her follow-up album "Man's Best Friend" did had no appeal for me. It sounded like a quickly produced sequel to "Short N Sweet", but missing the extra-catchiness. Also, "Man's Best Friend" is one of my favourites for worst album covers of all time. She should have taken more time. First line: "I'm so mature, collected and sensible Except when I get hit with rejection To turn me down, well, that's just unethical I'll turn into someone you're scared to know"

14 Mia Wray - Only Love (427 points, peak @ #1) Mia Wray (born Mia Isobel Wray-McCann on 28 October 1995) is an Australian singer, songwriter, and musician known for her blend of pop, indie, soul, and folk-influenced music. Originally from Sunrise Beach/Noosa, Queensland, she began making music as a teenager and won the Telstra Road to Discovery talent program in 2011, which helped kick-start her career. "Only Love" is a beautiful alternative pop song with strong vocals from Mia. There was so much strong stuff coming from Australia this year - behind UK and USA the nation with the third most hits in my charts this year. First line: "Oh, you walked right through the door, I could've died It's like my core was ripped wide open Turned up to feel the heat, and with your electricity I was broken"

15 Lana Del Rey - Henry Come On (424 points, peak @ #1) Such a beautiful power ballad. Hopefully, Lana's album will land next year and include more stuff like this. First line: "I mean, Henry, come on Do you think I'd really choose it? All this off and on Henry, come on"

16 Lola Young - Messy (419 points, peak @ #1) This song needs no introduction. Carried forward drom 2024, this was the first #1 of the year and I was so happy when "Messy" reached the #1 spot in the UK. Lola is such a unique artist - hope she is at good health now. First line: "You know I'm impatient So why would you leave me waitin' outside the station When it was like minus four degrees? And I, I get what you're sayin' I just really don't wanna hear it right now Can you shut up for like once in your life?"

17 Little Quirks - Honey (418 points, peak @ #1) Little Quirks are an Australian indie-folk / folk-rock band from the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Little Quirks formed in 2015 as a family project. The band was founded by sisters Abbey Toole (lead vocals, guitar) and Mia Toole (drums, vocals), together with their cousin Jaymi Toole (mandolin, vocals). From a young age, they performed together as street musicians, playing covers and developing strong three-part vocal harmonies. "Honey" is a catchy indie pop-rock song and was one of my favourite summer hits this summer. First line "I cut my hair to say that I had changed I bought new clothes and tried to change and walk right out to you like I forget you A week went by and all still felt the same I moved from town and took the chance to play my song for you I won’t forget you"

18 Sienna Spiro - Dream Police (418 points, peak @ #1) Another brilliant song from Sienna. The dramaturgy is perfect and her voice is on point. First line: "I been out cold cuz this world I live in Hasn't got you in it but it's got me missing You never had a plan, just a man and a mission You know, you know"

20 Hannah Bahng - Misunderstood (411 points, peak @ #6) Hannah Bahng is a South Korean-Australian singer-songwriter, producer, and visual artist known for her introspective, genre-blending music and DIY creative approach. She was born on February 9, 2004 in Sydney, Australia, and grew up with a passion for music encouraged by her mother’s piano lessons. She first gained attention by sharing vlogs, song covers, and original content on YouTube and TikTok, building a devoted following online. "Misunderstood" is a perfect alternative pop anthem. I used it for my first appearence in the BJSC, where it unfortunately did not qualify for the final. First line: "Oh it happened again Now I'm back in the den Where the lions are men (hm) Had a couple of drinks I don't know what to think Will I swim or sink?"

Lewis's Top 100 of 2025
Love the albums from Jade, Tate, Taylor, Lorde, Renee, Haim and Perry. Not a fan of Sabrina Carpenter latest album. "Tears" was the only song I liked a bit and the biggest letdown was the most annoying album cover of 2025.

gooddelta ranks the UK No.1s of 1999
"Genie In A Bottle" is stellar - one of the best pop songs of all time and higher in my ranking. Not a big fan of "Sunscreen", which only made #23 in my ranking. My places 7 to 4: 07 Armand van Helden - You Don't Know Me 9.5/10 Funky house banger!!! 06 Britney Spears - Baby One More Time 9.5/10 Nice kick-off for Britney's career, but I like Christina's debut even more. 05 Blondie - Marie 9.5/10 Perfect comeback single. 04 Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee) 9.5/10 Great Euro banger - it was everywhere in 1999. My top 3 are all 10/10 with one tune in common with Gooddelta.

gooddelta ranks the UK No.1s of 1999
The backstreet boys are one of the greatest boy band groups of all time. "I Want It That Way" is great, but due to the big number of great #1's in 1999 I could rank it only at #21.

21 Holly Humberstone - Die Happy (401 points, peak #1) What a beautiful mystic song!!! This one is synth-pop at its best with Holly in top form. First line: "You said in a past life we were spiders Or something neo-goth and grandiose You asked if you could hold my hand forever and ever You asked me if I still believed in ghosts"

22 Rosalia, Bjork & Yves Tumor – Berghain (401 points, peak @ #2) From my album of the year comes this wonderful lead single. It was just released a bit too close to the year, otherwise it would have gained some more positions. First line: "Seine Angst ist meine Angst Seine Wut ist meine Wut Seine Liebe ist meine Liebe Sein Blut ist mein Blut"

24 King Princess - RIP KP (388 points, peak #3) Overall, I found King Princess' third album quite average, but "RIP KP" is a brilliant song I loved from the first listen. The video of it is absolutely brilliant and my favourite music video of the year. First line: "Outside and the sun is shining Her lips look like cherry ice with whip creme and a perfect smile My girl could destroy your life"
