I seriously don't get La Roux. At all.
  2. Love Takes Over, haven't heard the last one, and Heartbreak is total $h!t.
  3. There are better Korean boybands [see: Dong Bang Shin Gi | SHINee | FT Island | Shinhwa] but Big Bang are pretty good. In Japan, where the song was released last week as their debut single, it reached #3. Korean invasion part 2 is underway

She was REALLY good. I got to the line to queue at around 4pm and there was already quite the line. I seen her as she got off her tour bus - one person yelled "sign my t-shirt Gaga!" and she just replied "no I'm busy" andcontinued to walk  She took aaaages to eventually come on [the support was very good - Gary go they were] but she really put on a show. It was quite short, not more than 10/11 songs long, and the opened was literally identical to her glasto opener. Her outfits were amazing, as expected. My person favourite was the bra that shot out sparks LOL. She seemed to really get into the wholething though - you could tell she was enjoying it [especially during acoustic poker face] she came out with some awesome one liners as well, such as "I love you all, I just want to cut myself and bleed all over the stage.. In a good way" Amazing night! Just a shame about the setlist length and no encore

It's different, like nothing she's done before. That said, I love it, so quirky and odd  It feels delicate, but it's strong. When she uses her high vocals it sounda amazing

I don't think that just because it's of a dance genre means that it will appeal to the gays, from what we've heard, it doesn't sound the tacky sort of dance that clubs would go crazy over. It sounds classy and sophisticated, whilst also sexual, a bit like Ciara's "Love, Sex, Magic" imo, but far superior

http://i40.tinypic.com/34zzxbt.jpg I'm so going to JIMP tommorrow
  8. Much better than TOMG, that was actually my least favourite song on the album. This song + video is so cute. killer combination
  9. I hope to god she performs tommorrow. Seeing as it's her own show rather than just being a support I have faith that she will. *epic praying*

AMAZING! Totally hooked on them Listening to their new album now, It's totally epic. This by far the most mainstream track. The album is really dirty electro-punk rock

I know of somebody who has mental problems, is in his late 30's, whose group of friends is composed of boys aged bewteen 8-13. He hangs around with them outside, and in their parents houses. Does that make him a sexual abuser in your eyes, simply because he has a relationship [non-sexual] with children? If anybody is to blame for Michael's "relationship" with children, it's his father, not his own.

The Beatles revolutionised music, then Michael evolved it further from that, especially in terms of image and celebrity. To call him "pathetic" is to dismiss all his achievements. As i've previously said in another thread, i'm not a big fan of him, but denying the impact he's had on not just music, but popular culture, is completely undeiable. Sure, he may not have done everything himself [Quincy Jones on Thriller, for exampe] - but with the help of other people he was able to push things further, show people new things, and so forth. The fact that his personal life over the last two decades has been almost completely negative, yet tickets for his London dates sold out within hours, and there is epic sadness over his death show just how big he was, and is further proof that music can overcome negative press, regardless of just how negative it is. To ignore his impact on music is to completely disregard the last 20-30 years of music. Regardless of your opinion of him, music would NOT be the same without him. He is up there with Elvis and Lennon, and very much rightly so. He was one of the only true "superstars" to live, and I can almost guarantee there will not be another like him.

I suppose in the mainstream, a good figure and average vocals will get you a long way. they're just a recyclable product. However like mentioned, there are musicians that go against this;; Shakira, Utada, Bjork, to name but three

Completely agree with Craig on this - it's a bloody outrage not only the wage that they're on [more than even most graduates will probably make per year], but the fact that they brought London to it's knees, from the city/canary wharf, to people going to normal work, to just regular people and tourists. The amount of money lost because of these strikes is inexcusable. Tbh the vast majority of people nowadays have no need to strike. I can understand why people did it in the past, but it's selfish now, they should just lose their jobs. I'm sure it wont be hard to find people who would kill for them and wouldn't strike.
  20. I don't think it's as good as her first album, but I like it a fair bit.

I'm surprised at BEP only at #4
  23. Also, I've heard that some news reports are claiming the single is called "We'll Never Know." Apparently she registered it on a database or something ~ Though I seen this thing and it says the single is called "She Wolf" which is just all sorts of LOL

I went to a club last Friday and Neil & Donovan were doing a P.A there [i touched them yaaaaay ~] - it was asked if there will be a third series, but apparently the writers aren't sure whether there will yet, and atm they're still thinking of any possible ideas. God I hope there is, easily one of the best shows on tv :(

I found it really good, although I think I prefer her regular show. I'm really interested to see how it turns out for her.
