I'm glad I had no expectations for this album, because it's turned out exactly as I thought it would. My God Utada, where did it go wrong? It's dreadful, easily as bad as when she was "Cubic U." The only good track is "This One" [which is actually very good.] as somebody said on JPM ~ "give me her made in five minutes on her home computer music over this any day."

OMFAS{UIBG Brooke!! :wub: I really like the track, but it's not single material. It'd be best as a strong album track.

I always find it funny how you can tell when people got into a certain artist by their favourite album. I'd rate HS by far her weakest album. Sure it's pleasant, but comparing it to an album like "Deep River" is just impossible, that album IMO is amazing. I can still listen to it now and not get bored. "Exodus" is when I began to lose interest in her. That said, I'd rank "Kremlin Dusk" and one of her greatest songs, up there with "光" and "FINAL DISTANCE." She just doesn't put any effort into anything anymore. No I'm not from Korea :lol: Yeah Japanese people are very friendly to foreigners in the city [in the countryside, not so..] I've never really been into Pizzicato, though if you like them you should try out Capsule and Clazziquai [i'd rate both as amazing, especially Capsule! :wub: ]

I really like it. I was disappointed by his first album, but this is blatantly going to be HOT.

LOL i'm glad you understand it, even if it is romanized :lol: I actually can't read the romanized words, our course doesn't actually use any, so I've just learned to live without it. I actually find it easier with kana/kanji. Oh wow, that's cool! when did you go? I've never been, but i'm going in 2010 for a year, as long as I pass my first two years :lol: It's REALLY hard to study at University because it's so intense, but from starting at beginner level in September, i'm at A-level equivalent standard, which is scarily quick :o edit; to relate this vaguely back to the subject of the thread, Utada was the first Japanese artist I listened to in 2004. I heard "First Love" - and i've never looked back ^_^

it basically explains the meaning of something, so say ｢立入り禁止」は入るなという意味です　["tachiirikinshi" means don't enter] - it's basically defining the meaning of something. If you want to ask the meaning of something, it's _______はどういう意味ですか。 [/grammar lesson] :lol:

I like the video, it makes the song seem a lot more than it actually is [generic as hellという意味です lol.] Utada used to be an incredible artist. She's still okay, But I am pretty indifferent to her nowadays. Thanks to her track "First Love" I got into JPop, so I always keep up with what she's up to.

I'm not getting the "dated" feeling at all, I think it sounds pretty fresh. the only clip i'm not buzzed over is GoT. AMAZING in Korean..in 2005. English in 2009.. not as much.

Well she's promoting a Best album in Japan atm for her Japanese label Avex, so after that she doesn't have any obligation to stay in Japan any longer, and SM can keep her in the US. She's said that she expects to do a lot of work in America, so i'm guessing we'll see the beginning of a schedule within the next month or two. Oh yeah, yesterday there was a "listening party" where she premiered the songs "I Did It For Love" and "Energetic."

Ohhh LOL it makes sense now.

There's been a competition that the first 100 people would get a signed CD from one website, but that doesn't explain reaching #18 LOL. I really like a lot of BoA's back catalogue, though i think she was best between 2003-2005 -VALENTI, LOVE & HONESTY, Girls On Top, My Name, Atlantis Princess....they're some damn fine albums.

Nope, within the next week I think though. I don't think it's Britney-esque at all tbh. I love the bridge that leads into the chorus sooo much. The album is on amazon's album chart at #21 as well currently! :o god knows why. I wish SM would start promoting it, but I guess they're going to let it start low and let it work it's way upward, since she's starting promotion after the album is released.

He's been severely underrated until recently. I'm glad he's starting to creep into the mainstream

I hate Jade Goody. She's an example of everything that is wrong with society today. However, cancer is a horrible thing, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, especially when it's terminal. Being without child I can't exactly comment on being willing to exploit my last few months to solidify its inheritance, but if I was in her position and I had sixth months to live, I'd live every day as if it were my last, which I am presuming she is doing. If she wants to sell photos of her going bald and make a reality show about her dying, so be it.

I really enjoy Shameless. I don't find it incredibly funny, but I like the social commenntary it delivers and stuff. I think that side of the show is quite underrated.

EYU is amazing in every possible way, plus the MV is stunning. This is my most anticipated release of the year. I've been a fan of BoA bordering on 4 years now, so this is a very exciting time to be a BoA fan!
