I'm glad it was confirmed not to be on the album - it's okay, but nothing special.

    Shakira, no doubt.
  3. I still listen to her debut album, alongside Brooke Valentine's "Chain letter" it's the most underrated female R&B album of the decade. Always had a $h!tload more talent than Rihanna, this song proves she's still got it. Go gurrrrl

Oof, major suckage :( Loads of my friends were going to try and get tickets, but I seem to be the only one who was able to. Guess i'm going alone LOL. I didn't expect there would be that amount of demand for her. I know she's popular, but for the tickets to go that fast? madness o:

I got a ticket!! :o They surely couldn't have sold out THAT quickly? s: edit; ticketmaster are still selling tickets for both dates ~

I'm SO @ Manchester come June. i'd have loved to go to the London gig but i'm back in Wales by then :(
  7. Gah, i wish they'd go back to pre-Elephunk in terms of lyrics [and during the Elephunk era, before the songs were edited for radio.] They actually had something to say, now it's just party jeers. That said, it's still really good, it sounds intense in a club. #1 hopefully

I just noticed this, i'm not sure if people knew this or not, but Jennifer duetted with Meat Loaf on a track called "The Future Ain't What It Used To Be" on his Bat Out Of Hell 3 album :o
  9. Just wondering, does BOOH ever re-appear in the chart? I'd LOVE for that to be the most. One of, if not the, best album ever
  10. If there's ever another world war, I guarantee it'll be over Korea. China/Russia/North vs South/US. Though I think this could only happen if the north attack the south, which they will not do anytime soon at all. North Korea know they could cause significant damage to Seoul [you can see North Korea from there - never mind missiles that travel as far as Alaska. Atm if this were to ever happen, over a million people would be dead/injured within 24 hours,] but in terms of a retaliation, it'd be torn to bits. The leaders act very high and mighty, but the highest of the high officials know they'd stand 0 chance. They can excerise their muscle all they wish, but tbh I think it's for bragging rights that they can report to the general population, who think their army is the greatest because it "marches in perfect sync" LOL. Back on topic - it was reported by Northern news agencies that the missile was "flying around the world, playing eternal revolutionary music dedicated to Kim Jong-il." I think that's enough said about this threat tbh
  11. I actually lover PF so much. It's amazing in every way. i hope it says at #1 foreeeeeeever.
  12. I find it pretty funny that people decided to vandalise RBS are going to be footing the bill to repair it, since it's government-owned. And that the bankers were waving £50 notes above them LOL. I love IB'ers  Though i'm probably biased in that respect since it's a career route i'm looking into. It wasn't 'bankers' but the actions of few, perhaps not even 1/2% of the total RBS workforce in the UK, which led to its demise; there is absolutely no need to tar everyone who works in the industry with the same brush, its moronic. The way to protesters were acting, burning hanging dummies dressed like a banker, it's digusting. I have neither sympathy, nor respect for the protesters. Socialism won't work, it won't be implemented. In times of economic/political worries, people always turn to more extreme views, and it dies down. Like i've said before, communism died hard a long time ago. Stop flogging a dead horse. Capitalism is the best route, imo. I'd rather have a world where there's a chance for me to make a $h!tload of money, than everyone being equal. If the bankers work hard, why shouldn't they be rewarded? They work bitch hours, sleep in the office and work on weekends. The country would be a lot poorer without the bankers.

FLO RIDA YAAAAY  I didn't think much of his first album, but the new one is really good, i'm glad it's looking to debut well.
  14. and in 2003 sales were higher, your point? Besides 55K is its overall sales, not first week. It's taken 4 years to sell that I think she can. Like I said, promotion has barely even begun yet. Not everyone follows the trend of big first week, drops off the radar after, Lady Gaga took like a year with JD to establish herself. Snow Patrol, James Blunt, I can think of dozens that don't//haven't followed that trend, which is usally done by only established acts.
  15. BoA - Billboard: Top Electronic Albums #5 , Top Independent Albums #16 , Top Heatseekers - #3 & Overall #127 I'm pleased, considering it's had no good promotion, no radio play, new artist etc. Besides, the only way is up [now that she's finally finishing off in Japan apparently she's ready to devote all her time to the US.] To put it in perspective also, Utada's English debut started off at #160 iirc.
  16. Apparently a radio tour is scheduled for next month. Maybe they'll even send the song to radio as well :|

Opinions? Do you think the U.S is finally ready to embrace Asian artists, or do you think it will never happen? Could this finally be the watershed?
  18. I'm hoping for a top 100/150 debut. Considering no decent promotion has been done yet [they haven't even released the music video for the lead single or sent it to radio LOL] I think it's doing well regardless.
  19. People are finding it quite hard to find in stores, apparently whoevers job is was to send them out has underestimated it - they've sent like 2/3 copies to a couple of stores. Everyone's just buying it on amazong - it's #8 on the main chart! :o [which beats its peak of #11 a few weeks ago.]
  20. My review - I Did It For Love; A perfect choice of song to begin promoting the album with imo. It sounds very now, with a slightly dark edge to it. BoA sounds great, the chorus is pretty addictive [i also love the bridge] and Sean and BoA compliment each other so well imo. 10/10 Energetic - My least favourite from what the previews made me believe, but I've found it stuck in my head since the full song leaked. Not the strongest track, but the verses are pretty strong. 7/10 Did Ya - I really like this, it's pretty fresh sounding. It's nice after two songs to hear an un-vocoded BoA. It reminds me of her "My Name" era in Korea. 8/10 Look Who's Talking - I like the egotistic nature of the lyrics, and it's catchy. However, I liked the live performances quite a lot, and I feel the studio recording falls slightly flat, due to the vocoding of her voice. Still, I enjoy it. 8/10 Eat You Up - FIERCE. The first time I heard it I went insane. It's my most played song iTunes with 350+ plays. Even now, I still don't find it boring. The chorus is catchy as f***, and the crappy lyrics just add to everything. 10/10 Obsessed - Awesome. I had a feeling this would be good from the preview, and I wasn't wrong. I'm glad they don't over-do the vocoder here, because I think it would have ruined it. 9/10 Touched - Very "Girls on Top" era I think. It's not a standout track to me, but I enjoy it. I don't really know what to say about it, it's just a good song. 7/10 Scream - From the preview, and hearing the original, I thought this would be my favourite track. I REALLY like it, but Iexpected it to be slightly stronger. Still, it kicks the Monrose version to the curb and it's good to feel some attitude from some lyrics. 9/10 Girls On Top - For me, it's the weakest track. Though I only think this because the original korean version is SO much better. It loses something in English, and BoA sounds stronger in her native language. Still, it's enjoyable. 7/10 Dress Off - I like this, similar to my opinion of "Touched" 8/10. Hypnotic Dancefloor - Wow. This is the standout of the album, it's just SO good. The bridge is so epic. It should totally be a future single. 10/10 Negatives - Although I enjoy all the tracks, I think they somewhat fall into each other too easily. it'd have been nice to have a ballad [since she's so good at them.] - Vocoder. Unlike people like Britney, Ciara and the like, BoA can sing damn well, and also dance damn well, and do both at the same time. She doesn't need the vocoder, it sort of eliminates any personality. Conclusion I'm not disappointed in the slightest, and my hopes were high. I've been a BoA fan for 3, 4 years now, and this has been in the pipeline since at least 2005. It's fresh, edgy, BoA's English sounds good, and on top she's got a really good image to boot with promotion. Is it her best album? Not by a long shot. However, it's a hell of a lot better than most of the $h!t out there at the moment, and the fact we know how much she wants this, and how hard she's willing to work, she's got a determination and drive and that most people could only dream of having. Overall - 9/10
  21. Slash that. Full album leaked. It's AMAZING  if you want a link pm me.
  22. I don't have time to update with links, but if you look around [or pm me] "Look Who's Talking" has leaked in HQ, and a radio rip of "Did Ya"
  23. I'm glad I had no expectations for this album, because it's turned out exactly as I thought it would. My God Utada, where did it go wrong? It's dreadful, easily as bad as when she was "Cubic U." The only good track is "This One" [which is actually very good.] as somebody said on JPM ~ "give me her made in five minutes on her home computer music over this any day."
  24. OMFAS{UIBG Brooke!! I really like the track, but it's not single material. It'd be best as a strong album track.
  25. I always find it funny how you can tell when people got into a certain artist by their favourite album. I'd rate HS by far her weakest album. Sure it's pleasant, but comparing it to an album like "Deep River" is just impossible, that album IMO is amazing. I can still listen to it now and not get bored. "Exodus" is when I began to lose interest in her. That said, I'd rank "Kremlin Dusk" and one of her greatest songs, up there with "光" and "FINAL DISTANCE." She just doesn't put any effort into anything anymore. No I'm not from Korea  Yeah Japanese people are very friendly to foreigners in the city [in the countryside, not so..] I've never really been into Pizzicato, though if you like them you should try out Capsule and Clazziquai [i'd rate both as amazing, especially Capsule! ]
